    Introduction

If we could truly open our eyes to the supernatural world, we would be struck with awe, surprise and fear. In the natural world we cannot see the angels battling on our behalf. Sometimes, we can sense it but cannot see the times our lives have been rescued from destruction. You and I are here today because God sent his servants, the angels, to save us.

Hebrews 1:14 says, Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation.

    Consider these facts about angels:

Angels are mentioned at least 273 times in the Bible.

Angels were present when God created the Earth.

    Angels do not marry.

    Angels are wise and intelligent.

Angels take an interest in human affairs.

Angels have the ability to fly.

    Angels are spiritual beings.

    Angels are subject to Christ.

    Angels have a will.

Angles express emotions like joy and longing.

Angels are not omnipresent, omnipotent, or omniscient.

    Angels have certain limitations.

Angels are not all-knowing, all-powerful, or everywhere present.

Angels are too numerous to count.

Only one angel in the Bible is called an archangel.

The word archangel comes from the Greek word archangelos, meaning a Chief Angel.

    Angels report to God.

    Some angels are called Seraphim.

Some angels are classified as Cherubim.

Angels are known as messengers, watchers, or supervisors of God; sons of the mighty chariots.

Heavenly hosts are created beings to be mainly a military army.

    Heavenly hosts appear as creatures.

Nehemiah 9:6 says, You are the Lord. You have made Heaven, the Heaven of Heavens with all their hosts.

God is referred to as the Lord of Hosts throughout scripture. Yahweh—Sabbath Means the Lord of Hosts.

The Heavenly host proclaims God’s protection and presence.

God’s heavenly hosts will ultimately be victorious.

We all have a guardian angel.

Matthew 18:10 says, See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my father in Heaven.

In this book, I will share angelic God happenings, miraculous happenings and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Always remember you are never alone. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are always with you. If you don’t know Him personally, you can invite Him into your heart right now!

It’s hard to know where to begin. There have been so many supernatural happenings in my life! These occurrences won’t be in order, but as God prompts me, so shall I write.

    Our Family

Since writing this book, our 2nd Great Granddaughter, Abigail, was born and Great Granddaughter #3, Liliana, is on the way.

    Chapter 1

    Angel Visitation

It was October 3, 1978, when I was visited and comforted by a large angel. I was twenty-two years old and eight months pregnant with our second child. The previous week was a time of the Lord working with my husband and me. My husband’s manager and his wife were used by God to witness to us about Jesus. Tim and Debbie Horton truly showed us the love of Jesus in word and deed. In a few short weeks, we were about to meet the King of Glory in a dramatic way! One night, all of a sudden, I was struck with terrible pain in my stomach. Jim rushed me to the hospital. I knew this was not labor since I already gave birth to our firstborn, Connie. The pain was very severe. Over thirty-six hours, many doctors came to me and tried to figure out what was going on. No one had the answer to our predicament. There would be no sleep or pain medicine for me.

My husband, who sat at my bedside for so many hours, began reading the Bible. He said, Jean, listen to this.

He began to read: I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my Rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer. I’ll stop right there! The moment I heard the word deliverer, a wind blew upon me and put me fast asleep. I will never forget this powerful angelic visitation which brought rest and comfort. As my husband cried out for Jesus to Help! and declared the powerful word of God, He came to rescue me in my hospital bed. Psalm 18 is one of my favorite verses. I was the one in need to deliver my son. Mind you, Jim and I did not know the Lord at the time. A few short weeks later, we met our Savior and have served him ever since. As years went on, I found the amazing scripture of Hebrews 1:7: Of the Angels He says—He makes His angels winds and His ministers a flame of fire. I can picture that large angel with wings flying to my rescue. It makes sense those large wings would bring a wind and a supernatural breeze would remain a memory that never grows old. My doctors didn’t know what to do, so they had the bright idea to operate. After my operation and my healthy appendix was removed, they decided to induce labor. They told my husband he may not want to watch because my stitches might burst open as I delivered naturally. Of course, today I would have said, "Hey, let’s scrap the
