About this ebook

Rocky

At 6'3 and tattooed, I'm the last person you'd think co-owned the Blushing Bride Boutique. Yet, that's who I am, a skeptic at all things love, helping brides get their happily ever after. Until I see her, and suddenly forever doesn't seem so bad. Until I realize she's promised to someone else.

But even that won't stop me, she's mine and I may have just found the loophole.

Daisy

A marriage of convenience is the last thing I want, but when push comes to shove, I need money and fast. Out of options, I accept the marriage contract to a man I have never seen.

But when I see him at the end of the altar, he is nothing like I imagined.

This Leap Day, Rocky is going to move heaven and earth to wife the one woman who is meant to be his. No matter at what price. Even if he has to steal the bride and fake an identity until he puts that ring on her finger.

    Chapter One

    ~ Rocky Hendrix ~

Yo, Rocky. I need some help over here, my mom yells from the front of our custom bike shop. At sixty, she moves faster than I do, running around the shop like there’s a race going on. I prefer imported myself, but Hendrix Customs mostly handles specialized repairs on motorcycles and some high-end cars, though we do a little of everything. At forty, I’m the oldest, and they don’t let me forget it. I’m the only one who wanted to pursue this field, finding joy in doing so, unlike my shithead siblings who deserted the mother ship to pursue their passions. I was happy for them, of course, but can’t help noticing how different we all are.

The first to leave was Trevor. He’s now a lawyer and lives in a townhouse in the middle of the city. He and his best friend, Dexter Brand, have gained quite the reputation for being cutthroat attorneys. While they practice family law, their specialties are divorce and prenups, which agitates our only sister to no end due to her own career choice.

Roxie, at twenty-six, is a business mogul with an eye for design, a talent that has paid off greatly, with her taking in more last year than the shop did in the previous five. This, of course, helps me, too. Being the generous brother that I am, my investment in her has earned me a small fortune. I’m not one to take risks, but I have a soft spot for Roxie, always have, and her plan was solid, therefore, I was comfortable using what I’d saved to help her. She has our mom’s guts and dad’s shrewdness, and within twelve months had paid me back in full with interest, and a hefty bonus for believing in her. Then I realized she actually tricked me, making me co-owner of the damn place, The Blushing Bride Boutique. That contract stated I must be there three days a week, Thursday through Saturday. I tried to give her all the money back, essentially ready to bribe her so I didn’t have to deal with any bridezillas. And yes, they exist and have no problem yelling at the staff, of which technically includes me.

I’m six-three and built like a lineman, covered in tattoos, and forced to not only serve fruity drinks but also help with veils as needed. That’s not even the worst of it. That distinction goes to Roxie who watches from her office and laughs at my suffering. I asked why she’d chosen me for this horrible task, and her answer had simply been, For missing all my damn tea parties. If I thought I could fuck with the others, I would have, but you’re the easiest target, bro.
