About this ebook
Krista is married to her job, and doesn't have a partner, yet. Not one from her home planet of Earth and not one from any of the other planets. As director of IRMA, the Interstellar Relocation and Mating Agency, she worries it'd be a conflict of interest . . . and highly against protocol.
Shai is banished from his home on one of Saturn's moons. The Krakonian District. Instead of death, he's chosen to be exiled to Earth, where he's placed under the care of IRMA, and the moment he meets her, all his mating instincts awaken in overdrive. Welcome to Earth.
All the Universe's guidance may point at Krista and Shai not being right for each other, but the heart wants what it wants, and Shai isn't going to give up his fated mate no matter what others try to dictate.

K. Rose has been a part of the Indie Author Community for years. Getting her start as a reader, her keen eye led to a wonderful career in Alpha/Beta and ARC (Advance Reader Copy) reading. As a joke to her fellow advanced reader colleagues, she created a spoofed blurb and cover for a story and the feedback was so positive that it sparked her to run with it.That stoked a fire that has her racing down a multi-genre freeway with no off-ramp in sight. K. doesn't write to "market" and she is fairly certain that her humor and use of puns may cause an eye roll or two. This still wouldn't stop her from making sure there is humor in every one of her stories. As a Multi Genre Author, there is sure to be something for everyone to love. She has traveled the USA extensively, including Alaska, and lived in thirty-eight of the fifty states. Home is now the beautiful state of Wisconsin, where she dreams up her stories in the company of her menagerie of furbabies, including five puppies, five rescue kitties, a bunch of chickens, ducks and turkeys ruled by a Rooster named Chicken Parm, and a ninety-gallon tropical fish tank.Life will always be interesting for K. Rose, which will fuel her works, and keep her muses singing, come join the chorus.

Alien Banished - K. ROSE
Chapter One
Shai
I n accordance with the laws of the Krackonian district, we find you, Shailuxian Xan of the Depth Dwellers, within the Darkpool Sector, have violated the law. You were to have taken a mate by the time you reached your first revolution on this moon. Now, at nearly thirty Earth years, you have failed to be compliant. We have two options for the egregious disrespect of our ancient ways.
A stern finger points down at me inside the holding chamber, which is set central to all of the elders on the council. I can feel their disdain through all of the tension that is filling the room with every achingly long minute I am inside this capsule.
The containment capsule hovers inches above the cold stone floor, and I can feel the icy chill permeating the thin membrane that holds me captive.
The room is large and opulent because why would the elders have it any other way? Each one of the elders sits on a throne of sorts while remaining smug and passing judgments. And each one prim and proper dresses to the nines, extremely flashy and gaudily encrusted with jewelry.
I find myself wincing, knowing that I should have just settled and chosen someone, anyone. I just couldn’t do it, though. There was no use in taking a mate I had no connection to. No use at all for it, really. Why would I take a mate that I couldn’t actually procreate with? If I have no use of my ninth tentacle, then there is no hope for the relationship. No hope of making young, and eventually, I would be found out anyway.
We were told when we were young that we would know when we had an opportunity to mate. A vague statement at best. Growing older just made it worse, though. Friends would brag of their first time awakening the Kraken—of course, they meant their Ovipositors, that ninth tentacle only male Kraken have. I had to sit back and hear all about it from every one of my friends and their stories of the best sex ever.
While I had my fun, I never once felt anything more than just sex with those women.
I do not deny the accusations.
I hold my head high and speak clearly, hoping for what I am not certain. But I will not break under their scrutiny. I made the choice, and I will be responsible for it.
We have already organized for you to be banished to Earth, where you will remain until you no longer breathe. You shall never return to our Moon outside of Saturn's Rings.
The largest of the Elders leans forward and slightly over the edge of their podium. Unless you prefer to simply be put to death here and now.
A slight low chuckle echoes through the cavernous room. I always do love a good beheading, though it happens so infrequently now.
I watch as he leans back and settles in his seat once more, brushing the imaginary stardust particles from his sleeve, popping the cuff, and straightening the overly starched and pressed material.
I will accept the banishment to the planet Earth,
I speak clearly so there is no mistaking which choice I will take.
I don’t want to die, but more, I just don’t want to die a little every day in a meaningless relationship. One, I will have to lie every day to everyone I know and love just to get by.
A gasp can be heard from the gallery, where my close friends and family have gathered to see me off, more like just to get closure for themselves. I find myself turning my head to look in their direction regardless. The feel of a punch hits directly to my stomach, and a lump forms in my throat.
The looks on their faces, a mix of sadness for some and indifference for others, gives me pause. I give my mother a small nod, a final farewell to the only woman I have ever loved. As it stands, possibly the only one that I will ever give a place in my heart.
I will live out my years in this new land, sent there to die alone. There is no way that a Krakonian would find a true mate in a place filled with simple humans. I hang my head in shame over the realization as it sets in deep inside my being.
Alone. Truly Alone.
"You will be taken directly to IRMA - The Interstellar Relocation and Mating Agency on Earth. We have an agreement with them, so you are not
