About this ebook

This book is a novel that addresses the illegal practices by charlatans and fake religious leaders, to gain power and status, and how these charlatans manipulate people and divide them through participating in political plots and sectarian strife. It is an exiting book full of mystery, suspense and action in which the author blended brilliantly the speech about superstition with speech about politics, traditions and religion.

    The hard taskmaster

    King Faisal the First

    The Inevitable introduction

Things diverged in Iraq, the wrongful people thought that they were right...religious leaders prevailed and oppressed the people and took the country to the pre-renaissance era...While the countries of the West raced in the past centuries to get rid of the Church’s influence and to separate the Church from politics .. They advanced their countries and immersed themselves in the labyrinths of education while ignoring all kinds of sectarianism, and achieved successes in building the civilized edifices that shattered the dreams of religious leaders... In Iraq, the opposite happened... instead of the country advancing with education, it drowned in a sea of insignificance and ignorance... it became a country that embraced the clowns as politicians’ look-alikes, while they are nothing but a disgrace to politicians.

In the introduction to this novel I decided to cite some verses from Quran, which confirms the dealings between human beings and devils, these dealings are an inevitable truth... There are some religious leaders who resort to these kinds of dealings while taking advantage of the weak minded, and weak hearted... and they’re a majority in our lazy East.

Also I wanted to cite, in the introduction, some quotes made by King Faisal the first about the people who he governed... a people that didn’t accept any kind of leaders good, or oppressive... they didn’t mind to eradicate and punish their national symbols represented by the Royal family like kings and princes, without sympathy.

Today we see the situation of a state that is only liked by the ignorant, and that makes the traitors happy... each minute there is a new novelty, each second a new life is lost...until arrogance exceeded everything, and everything in our country got reversed... the honorable became a traitor, and the traitor got entrusted on a lost county.

    Syed Sami

He was a real life character but he was like no other... Al Basra Hartha tells his story... he was followed by people everywhere, People adored and glorified him, his pictures became more precious than bread... his fame was bigger than the Governor’s own fame.

The people of the city were impressed with his personality, his pictures were printed everywhere. The sales of his pictures exceeded those of Imam Ali- A.S- His pictures filled streets, and crosswalks... people visited him for live hoods and to be showered with protection amulets to protect them from the human evil, and the destiny’s tragedies.

When police officers brought him in shackles to the Basra head of security... The latter asked him... How did you suddenly appear in such a little time?

He responded while lowering his head:

    - Sir the people made me, I once made a protection amulet, where I wrote on a little blank paper some improvised words that came to my mind at the time, and I enveloped it in a green piece of cloth... I gave it to a very ill woman, surprise played its role in activating the amulet, and when the woman got better, my reputation spread everywhere thanks to her... some big leaders came to me and showered me with money and gifts.

I try to say in my novel that the real idea is a conversation with those who refuse to believe in the Quran verse that said that astrologers are liars even if their anticipated events became truth... That religion is a blessing not an indignation and that spreading religion through arms... as seen today is not acceptable in God’s Law... that we have to accept the others as they are, not according to the Guardian Jurist Under the cover of sweet tongue and buzzwords. Brain is a gift from God, He speaks to us through it, why don’t we speak with others through it, and not through anger?!

Finally I would like that my Novel doesn’t get taken in a sectarian sense... but I hope that we can come back to ourselves with seriousness and determination, to be calculative and act with determination, before we perish, and God knows our real intentions.  The writer

Likewise for those who spend their wealth to show off and do not believe in Allah or the Last Day. And he who takes Satan as a companion has indeed taken for himself a very bad companion Surah An-Nisa, Ayat 38.

Indeed we have adorned the lowest heaven with stars for decoration (6) and for protection from every rebellious devil (7) they cannot listen to the high assembly of angels because they are pelted from each side (8) Driven away and they will suffer an eternal torment (9) but those who manage to stealthily eavesdrop is pursued by a piercing flare (10) Surah As-Saffat, Ayat 6-10.

And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink a deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people and they will get well

    Mark verses 16-17-18, The Bible.

Iraq is one of the countries that lacks the most important component of social life which is the intellectual and religious unity, in this situation the forces are scattered, and divided among themselves. Its politicians need to be sage and masterminds, at the same time they need to be strong in every way, in substance and in meaning, they shouldn’t be attracted to personal, sectarian or extremist sensibilities, they should perpetuate the policy of justice, balance, and strength together, while wildly respecting the people’s traditions, without being subjects to retroactive effects and extremist ideas that lead the people to give a reaction.

The government is weaker than the people, if the country was weapon free it would have been easier, but the kingdom has 15 thousand state riffles, no other country on earth could have this same number of state riffles and still have the situation between people and state be similar to this

"In Iraq, there is no Iraqi people but there are imaginary human groups, devoid of any national idea diverged by religious voids and traditions, nothing can bring them together, they listen to evil, they have an inclination for chaos, they are ready to attack every single government they get.

We can’t allow the newly founded political parties, the papers and the personalities to give some unacceptable criticism, and to mislead the people, but we need to let them give constructive and respectful criticism"

    From the memoir

    Of King Faisal the First

    ––––––––

    In that tired east...

The person fears nothing more than other humans

He feels that the spirits like the fire... until the dark color dominated the walls of the cave like Agate...

Behind him, Shadows danced and bounced on the wall, sometimes with fangs  like daggers, long and arched, sometimes it is represented by a black cat, her eyes glowing in the candle lights.

    -2-

    A Yellow village...

A desert... a place full of ignorance.

People wander... spreading their hopes in the hands of charlatans.

Simple people.... Ignorance prevails in those naïve minds, they are devoid of any  life knowledge. They resorted to novelty in their salvation and their closeness to Allah.

For them fables are sacred, untouchable, and undisputed...whoever abides by it, enters Heaven... As they believe, they even think that the two angels Munkar and Nakir don’t exist, they believe that specific guardians will visit the deceased in the grave, and they will enter Heaven because of it.

Novelties, fables, radicalism...they get laughed at by those who faked the prophets’ lineage, as they attributed themselves to the prophets’ lineage to be able to steal from the naïve people in the name of religion.

In that remote village there are some beasts, human beasts of prey that eats the naïve.

Beasts of prey who have allied with Satan, they live on playing those simple minds, they signed with Satan on a long time deal.

    -3-

The air was heavy and the space seemed suffocating like narrow axes...barely able to breath, his eyes are looking and wandering in emptiness... the air looks suffocating, but in reality isn’t as such. His body is shaking.

The man with flat and cracked legs, like dried silt, hastens his steps in the emptiness, in the dark, to get to the top of the hill, in the sandy valley, he carries a bag full of provisions, and he cautiously gets closer to the entrance of the cave. The fear was squeezing him... there was no sunlight to dispel the fears of darkness... He trembles... he almost screams from a shadow that he sees in the dark... is the shadow just a fantasy generated by fear? Or is it a real ghost following him, and ready to attack him any minute, he tries to suppress the trembling, he puts the bag quickly in front of the entrance, to be able to move.

As if he was afraid of being eaten by a wild animal, or ...? Or a Jinn.

    -4-

Allah Almighty created the father of the Jinn –Abu Al Jann- (Soumya) two thousand years before creating Adam.

Allah said to Soumya: Make a Wish.

Soumya responded: I wish that we are able to see everyone, without being seen, to disappear into the grave, and to turn our elders into young.

Allah Almighty fulfills Soumya’s wishes, he allowed him to live on Earth and he had everything he wished for.

The Jinn were the first to worship Allah on Earth.

    -5-

The man sat in a circle made of candles. Candles surrounded him from every side, his eyes were closed, and he was mumbling some incomprehensible words... unclear words, words that can only be understood by Jinn... words in Jinn’s language... a language that they made after distorting Allah’s words.

The man decided to challenge his creator, now was the start of the beginning of the sin... he will challenge his fate...and achieve for himself the prestige and status he aspires... It doesn’t matter how... the important for him is to become a Master in his people, period.

    -6-

The only sound in the cave was that of the scary wind creak, he sits like an ill ghost... looks tired... but he refuses to give up before finishing what he started... his eyes popping out, not out of fear, but rather an eagerness to meet the Jinn- the genie- his throat trembled and his heart throbbed clearly in the dull darkness, the candles’ lights weren’t enough to light the cave.
