Embellish the language

Of all and each

Jamaicans rhyme

And Italians sing

Whilst the French seduce

And Arabs dream

Dialects of English

Roll and rebound,

Our expressions and accents

Paint pictures with sound

The song of language

Carries great power

It can uplift the soul

Or push one to cower

Then listen to the King,

The Prime Minister et al,

Their diction is 'perfect'

But their song is so foul

Whyever were they taught

To invert their speech?

Could it have something to do

With the evil they preach?

Language enables

Environmental perception,

Self definition,

Conceptual construction

Transmission of interpretation

Evokes emotion,

Stimulates action,

Inciting destruction,

Sparking creation

Linguistic mastery

Sophisticates discourse,

Knowledge expands,

Exponentially,

Potentiating power

Domination of communication

With a population

Is, though

Power achieved

How connected are you?

Are you roaming with your blue tooth?

Are you SMS'd and GPS'd?

Wired in or wireless?

Are you Whats Apped, Facebooked and Twittered up?

Linked in, bogged down and stressed out?

Cognition clouded?

Encryption guarded?

Or fuck it! Just write,

To Hell and be damned with it!

5G radiation gon' fry the nation

and Covid tricks done sterilized the kids,

Then, its fate,

Some time and place

The human race gon' find their face

Tracked and traced like an ebay purchase,

Cos we SMART!

All thought controlled and bot patrolled,

Pavlov pinged and telescreened,

Data mined and light of mind,

And then,

In time,

Sure to find,

Third eye blind

We used to be,

Skilled, you see

Arts and crafts instead of screens,

Working with toolery to create wealth,

For you and me:

Stone mason, blacksmith, writer and painter,
