It is the commonest of mistakes to consider that the limit of our power of perception is also the limit of all there is to perceive.
—Charles W. Leadbeater
The Touch of Eyes
When we touch eyes with a single star
or the three of Orion’s girth,
that long-traveling light afar
shines ever bright on earth.
And we cannot help but feel inside,
from the turn of a leaf or globe,
that something grand is happening
from all our optic probes.
For at that moment shared,
we are reminded of our place
that in the splendid scheme of things,
there’s more than boundless space.
Though we may feel insignificant,
that shining reminds us of our worth;
and as we gaze upon its brilliance,
we discover hope and mirth.
Though it is a single fleeting touch,
we remember our start,
and with all the world surrounding,
heavens lie within our hearts.
Soft Whispers of the Wind
The wind whispers soft, a gentle breeze
As pines and bushes dance with ease.
Tall trees sway with each gust and turn,
A symphony of Nature we can discern.
Leaves rustle, and everything sways.
In peaceful grace, their movements display
Nature’s calming presence, a melody sweet,
A moment in time, a perfect retreat.
The wind is a guide that leads us through
Nature’s beauty in every view.
A world in bloom, a perfect scene,
A stunning portrait, a captivating dream.
Listen to the wind’s melody,
Watch Nature dance in perfect harmony,
A moment in time where we can exist,
A world of wonder that cannot be missed.
Marvel at the beauty, in all its flair,
A symphony of Nature beyond compare.
At this moment, we are free to bear and resist,
And be captivated by Nature’s every twist.
The Huddle of Buds
Beneath the barren boughs,
trees, winter-worn, shelter springtime buds
