Chapter Twenty

After an hour of faking, it was go‐time. She could only paint that smile on for so long, and at this point, she was way over time. Plus, with him here, she had an even better reason to make haste. Despite the waves it may have created, she wasn’t worried about what Olivia thought. She should have been happy that she even showed up. All this fuss about wedding pictures and videos was a mystery to her. Besides… it was fun time, and Margarette knew exactly where to go to get it. The only thing standing between her and the big show was Jade, who was sitting near the front door. Although she wouldn’t have had a problem just walking by her daughter’s childhood friend, it wouldn’t have been good form to do so.

As she headed out, she said, Jade, who looked up from one of those silly wedding books they were peddling.

Oh. Hi, Margarette. Would you like to sit down?
