    INTRODUCTION TO BLUE LOVE

The definition of ‘Blue Love’ as defined by God, Himself, is, first of all and most importantly, not a feeling. It is not something you can arbitrarily fall into. It is a chosen action. God defines ‘blue love’ in John 15:12, 13. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (KJV)

It is a command and a requirement for His people to be willing to go the distance that is needed for someone to come to Jesus, and being heartbroken for a world without Him, with absolutely no thought or concern for the cost to one’s self, and without expectations or reciprocation.

He set the example when He left the glories of heaven, the worship of the angels and all of creation, to go the distance for love, taking on human form, the form He created in His image, living a servant’s life, constantly on the run from His creation that wanted to kill Him, finally surrendering to the cross, and all it entailed, bringing us reconciliation to the Father, a very holy God, and redemption from our inherited evil heart! It is agape on steroids! That is ‘blue love’!

When we are willing to die or suffer to bring someone to the Savior, we have learned to love with ‘blue love’! It can only happen with God; we do not have that kind of love in ourselves. That is why the world cannot understand that kind of love. It is only when we get to know God and are fully surrendered to Him that we can see the full truth of the ‘blue love’ of God. When we can identify with Him, we can get a very small view of what sacrificial really means. We will never fully understand how to love with ‘blue love’ the way God does. The wonderful thing is God does not expect it. He knows our human imitations, He remembers our frame, that we are dust (Psalm 103:14).

His desire is for us to remain an open clear, clean channel for Him to reveal His love to people. He wants ‘blue love’ to be our identity in Him! The definition of ‘blue love’ that God shared with me is in this, my story:

"The song I chose for my favorite is Crowder’s Golgotha Hill because it is the entire gospel story from the walk up the long road of terror and tears, through the rugged cross where Jesus bled and was whipped, spit on, and crowned with thorns, to the empty tomb, the defeat of the devil, the curse broken, and heaven open with the torn veil! I love that story, but the best part, and the part that God used to speak to me, was the part that, throughout the whole gospel story, is the ribbon running through it, the ribbon of love. You can’t stop love. All of hell couldn’t stop love. After about five months or so, I suddenly realized I had been seeing that ribbon in light blue, so I casually queried, Lord, why am I seeing this love in blue? I was totally unprepared for His answer! It was like He dropped a bomb right on my heart and it shattered into thousands of pieces. It took my breath away, and I wept like I haven’t done since my father died. Suddenly, He showed me, I was crushed and broken and bruised, rejected, and whipped and spit on and crushed by the weight of sin. Isaiah 53 came vividly into my mind and I saw Jesus crushed and bent over in agony, bleeding and scarred. Despised and rejected of men, a man, of sorrows and acquainted with grief. Isaiah 53:3 (KJV) My heart was broken so badly that I could not stop crying, touched by the realization that it was for me, and every time I saw Him in agony I broke into tears. I still do when I remember the cross and His blue love and that He, the Almighty God and Creator of the whole universe, did it for me. The song, "My Victory" became so closely paralleling "Golgotha Hill" as my favorite because of the bridge. Every time I hear it, I see Jesus on the cross, and the part after His love bled for me, with His blood streaming down the cross and I "Behold!" the Lamb of God who takes away our sin, the holy Lamb of God makes us alive again by His blood and His death and my heart is broken again. A month later as I was thinking about Jesus on the cross and His blue love, He told me, "This is the love with which I want My people to love the world and love each other." His blue love is not self-fulfilling and self-indulging. His blue love is purely sacrificial, with absolutely nothing for Himself, except the joy that comes when another person will come to Him and experience the joy of that intense, obsessive love relationship with Him for eternity. Abba is so sacrificial that His heart still breaks over the hurt we, His children that love Him, inflict on others with our mouths or physically. His heart breaks over all the suffering and pain that sin and evil has brought into His creation. That is not the way it is supposed to be. He loves the whole world, but His love for His own is obsessive and possessive. We are His and He is wanting to give us all the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, long-suffering (patience and tolerance), goodness, kindness, faith, meekness (humility, poor in spirit), and temperance (self-control, moderation). All we have to do is let Him. The most current song that is my favorite, that I see in royal blue every time, is Hallelujah For Every Broken Heart (Crowder, 2021) because it is about the heart of God and the hearts He wants for His people, broken hearts over those who are struggling without God; those who are hurting and killing His people, because they need to know Jesus and how much He loves them and the whole world, with His blue love."

It was an awakening of what God wants to do through His people. It means those who claim to be His, need to be truly His and ready to walk the walk, being available for anything the Holy Spirit wants to do through them!

It becomes your identity with Christ because of the Father’s love for Him, the love that gave Jesus the name above every name, that at His name, JESUS, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord, to the glory of the Father! (Philippians 2:9-11) The only name that can save! (Acts 4:12) The name Jehovah, alone, by the choice of the Father, does not save or Israel would be saved. It is
