The Essence is a captivating futuristic science fiction screenplay that delves into the detrimental consequences of a misconstrued idea of good and evil from the beginning of humankind’s evolution. This disparity has set off a ripple effect, propelling the universe on a path to rectify itself. In fact, the world as we know it today merely reflects our collective thoughts, behaviors, and actions. Unless we can reconnect with the universal source—our core essence—and project a new reality into the universe, the age of darkness will overrun the world. Disease, famine, fear, and violence will persist, gradually stripping away our humanity, eventually leading to the apocalypse of a new human civilization.

WORLDVIEW—Empty space; nothing but empty lands

The globe spins. A prehistoric view of creation reveals empty lands, changing seasons, and growing trees, as though the world is evolving in the moment. The day swiftly fades into a mystical night where the stars look brighter and closer to earth like never before.

DAVE (V.O.)

At the beginning of time, long before humankind’s evolution, there were the constituents, the guardians of earth.

The ocean waters rise. The waves come to sight in enormous motions. Water splashes against the high rising rocks with great intensity. Big fish swim to shore from the deep sea, showcasing their tricks and flips as if they are celebrating the arrival of the guardians.

DAVE (V.O.)

The guardians were placed on earth to prepare the land, guide, and serve the human race.

On the night the guardians first arrive on earth, it looks like a day within a night and everything seems to be intertwined. The sky looks murky as the northern lights appear in a beautiful dancing pattern. The stars shine brighter and line up in the most remarkable constellations. Unexpectedly, it storms massively as the seven guardians descend in forms of heavy raindrops.

The water droplets hit the soil like bullets creating holes into the ground. The dust particles arise, spin around, and create a powerful airstream. Seven twisters rise up from the ground and swirl across acres of fields with a vigorous force of energy. As the corn-like twisters rotate in circular motions, gradually, foggy silhouettes start to materialize within the windstorms.

The humanlike translucent figures eject out from the whirlwinds, fall down on their knees and hands as though they are bowing. All of a sudden, nature emerges around the guardians. The land fills up with sequential green trees, plants, flowers, and animals of all sorts.

Each guardian stands up, one after another, and proceeds to adapt a unique human form. The guardians then float forward and create a triangle with the guardian of hope, Dave, at the starting point. Each guardian looks very different from the others. The guardians expose their power stones in the palms of their right hands. Instantly, the sun rises and reflects on the guardians’ power stones.

A beam of multicolored lights comes down right into the guardians’ power stones. The streams of lights resemble a wide, multilayered golden rope. The layered beam of lights then unravels and divides into multiple streams of lights. A ray of light wraps around each guardian’s weightless body, lifts the guardian up by the midriff into thin air, and radiates throughout each body like electricity.

DAVE (V.O.)

Each guardian was placed on earth in accordance to the people’s needs. For that reason, the guardians were given absolute powers to watch over the human race and help govern society.

Together, the guardians use their abilities to build a remarkable palace that resembles the Pyramid of Giza. Inside of the palace looks magical and captivating. The guardians sit around a stone table, the very table that symbolizes the circle of life and the equality of all humankind. In the middle of the table, a futuristic 5D moving hologram pops up with images of all the great things the guardians have created thus far.

The images seem lively, as though the world is coming to life right at that moment. A close-up view of creation reveals blooming flowers, running rivers, plants, trees, birds, and all sorts of animals roaming the lands. This foundation brings out a celestial sense of a peaceful world. Meanwhile, Dave, the guardian of hope, paces back and forth around the table in excitement as he goes over their progress.

DAVE

The work we’ve done with nature shows that we truly are ready to move on to the next phase. It’s finally time to establish guidance and wealth for the upcoming civilization.

Dave eagerly discloses an astonishing view of the world: a beautiful harmonized place with plenty of wealth and natural resources for the people.

DAVE (CONT’D)

We shall distribute wealth proportionally and to everyone, not randomly. We’ll give people reasons to have faith and hope, to dream big, and be inspired. As rewards, they’ll have the opportunity to make their own dreams come true in order to live purposeful lives.

Elijah, the guardian of fear, has domination over the element of fire and people’s desire. He also has the ability to alter people’s reality. Elijah stands up behind Dave and does puppet hand gestures mimicking Dave. He gets in front of Dave.

ELIJAH

Blah, blah, blah, you got it all figured out, huh!

DAVE

Well, living purposeful lives will keep the humans true to their core essences, and therefore, closer to the creator. That’s the plan, right?

ELIJAH

Enough! You simply don’t possess the kind of power to be put in charge. You don’t have the power of vanity. You cannot alter reality. Brother, you’re in no position to decide anything. Maybe they are, but definitely not you.

Elijah points to the other guardians. Ian, the guardian of vanity, stands up and transforms his clothes into a glamorous outfit as he shapeshifts into a mythical animal with wings. Grimm, the guardian of pride, summons a jewel crown and places it over his head. Ida, the guardian of greed, can enhance growth, generate heat, and regulate temperature with her hands. She touches a vine plant and makes it grow and bloom. Elijah puts his hand over Dave’s shoulder and pushes him back down on
