    About the medium

Eliana Machado Coelho was born in São Paulo, capital of Brazil, October 9th. Since she was a child, Eliana has always been in contact with Spiritism, and the constant presence of the spirit Schellida in her life, who until today appears as a beautiful, delicate, young woman. There was already a solid partnership between Eliana and the beloved mentor for the work they would do together.

As time went by, Eliana, supported by her loving parents, grandparents, and later by her husband, daughter began to work with Schellida always by her side. After years of study and training in psychography, in July 1997 her first book came out: Despertar para la vida (Waking up to Life), a work that Schellida wrote in only twenty days. Later, other books came out, among them "Corazones sin Destino" (Hearts without Destiny).

Aside from this, some natural curiosities have arisen about this duo (medium and spirit) for the stunning beauty of the romances received by them, one of them is regarding the origin of the name Schellida Where did it come from and who is Schellida? Eliana replies that this name Schellida, comes from a share experience between the two of them and for ethical reasons she Will leave the revelation to her own mentor. Schellida told her that she will write a book telling the main part of her terrestrial trajectory and her love connection with the medium. For that reason, Schellida once stated that if she had to write books using another medium, she would sign with a different name in order to preserve the worker’s suitability without making them go through doubtful questions, embarrassing and dispensable situations, since the spirits ‘name matters little. What prevails is the moral content and the high doctrines transmitted through reliable works.

Eliana and the Schellida spirit have several published books (among them The Right to Be Happy, No Rules to Love, A Motive for Living, Awakening for Life and A Diary in Time). Other unpublished books will soon enter into production, in addition to the old works to be re-edited.

In this way, the Schellida spirit guarantees that the task is extensive and there is a long road ahead for the two of them and will always continue together to bring lessons about love on the spiritual plane, the concrete consequences of the Action and Reaction Law of Harmonization and the necessity of harmonization, happiness and the conquests of each one of us, because good always prevails when there is faith.

    AND ITS FAVORITES

What is time but a space divided into hours, days, weeks, months, years, centuries…?

Throughout this time, everything, literally everything we do and don't do is recorded. The impact of what we experience or will experience are the return of our actions to others and to ourselves.

For this reason, considering that everything is inscribed in the Divine Consciousness, we should think and rethink our own attitudes, ideas and words. Nothing is lost, nothing is erased... because time presents as an authentic and unchanging diary, governed by immutable Laws of Eternal Father that may not be corrupted. During the harvest time, we taste the sweet or bitter fruits that we cultivate in order to analyze the consequences of our attitudes.

All the significant networks in the lives of those involved in this story began in the Military Republic and take precedence in Brazil for twenty-one years. The series of governmental events interfered inevitably in the experience of Brazilian people and humanity itself. All the plot, adventure, intrigue, schemes, lies, bitterness perceived, desperate romance and disappointments suffered took so long to have a collapse, leaving traumas and deep scars, were due to the way of governing the country and due to reactions of extremists and opportunists, incarnated and disincarnated which unleashed vile, cunning and malevolent acts and creations. But time... Time fixes everything.

And it was without paying attention to the planting that Douglas was well settled on a comfortable couch in the elegant and classic living room of his rich residence a long time ago. He was talking with his father about the family business, without notice the type of evil and wicked spirit that surrounded them, fed by a weak conversation, common of opportunists or speculators who give in hypocritical advice, of sordid affection to family, money and pettiness. The greatest scourges of humanity were started by impure spirits, such as those which had a lot of help from incarnations of the same level accepted their suggestions due to their affinity. At that time, a big, dark fog settled there, as in other places, where the same type of subject and opinion about the political-social course of the country was the same. And the patriarch categorically said:

...In the current government we are an unbelievable monopoly! and You can't deny it!  Mr. Guillermo, Douglas' father said in his proud, vain and without a modesty voice.

Yes, my father, I know. However, do not forget that this authoritarian regime could end at any moment. It's possible to calculate the duration of the empire of this military dictatorship considering the large protest marches. The real human masses are moved by irascible forces! They don't fear the government! I am impressed to see them facing the heavily armed soldiers with no fear, unarmed and without retreating said Douglas concerned and still remember the frequent protest at that time.

Now! Even with the militarism's fall from power, a day we are far from seeing, you need to remember that we will prevail in the area of our industries' products. We will never have enough competitors!

"But the change in government, if any, may give workers rights that will affect us. For example, working hours, fixed wages, other legal payments, taxes… Have you forgotten the ban on strikes protects us very well? In fact, the institutional Act is in our favour! We can fire anyone we want without the obligation to comply with notices or payments, who will these employees complain to and who will force us to comply with due arrangements?" Douglas asked without waiting for an answer.

He continued making a mockery The dictatorial government protects us and, out of fear, hardly anyone dares to rebel against them. We have no employees or workers but almost slaves to serve us since Marshal Costa e Silva enacted the law that banned demonstrations, marches, public assemblies and proclamations. The workers are not in a position to demand anything!

"However, Mariscal Costa e Silva, while he still was president, supported the Institutional Act No. 5, which give full power to the high-ranking military core, shutting down the National Congress, chambers and assemblies, banned parliamentarians, made arrests, installed censorship, tortured opponents, and people said that even ordered murders... Well, Costa e Silva himself regretted his support for Institutional Act No. 5 and, when he tried a reconciliation in order to the return of the Constitution, unfortunately… Mr. Guillermo scoffed, the man got sick! Why is that? Thankfully, the Vice President, Pedro Aleixo, a humble citizen who was against AI-5, was not able to assume the presidency due to the decision of the military ministers who, immediately, ended Costa e Silva's mandate, and Appointing the General Emílio Garrastazu Médici, former head of the NIS, to the Presidency of the Republic. Garrastazu Médici was and is the best president we ever had! You had the opportunity to observe his great profile of absolute leadership, with a rigorous repression, condemn the riots of parliamentarians, people and artists who protested for their intellectuality and press freedom. You remember the Medicis, don't you?"

Yes, I know him from our meetings, admitted Douglas without hesitation. "But what if the new president doesn't provide the business community with the same support as always? According to the talk we heard, General Ernesto Geisel will probably be the new president of the Military Republic. I don't know if everything will continue as before... I have doubts about whether we will be favored... I heard some speeches in which General Geisel promised a smooth transition to the return of democracy, this implies the return of the Constitution, the guarantee of citizens' rights and, consequently, the revocation of institutional act, mainly of AI-5. The worst thing is that people are optimistic."

Now, Douglas, do not be fooled by Geisel's seemingly masculine attitude, said his father, who is intimate and much more familiar with the country's politics. "In the meetings I attended, I already knew that he would make some decisions that would apparently condemn the useless violence, the military hardline. Then, he will create economic schemes that promise miracles for the country, encouraging ignorant people with slogans ‘Nobody has this country’, ‘Brazil, love it or leave it’, as Medici did. After mocking and laughing, he spoke with pride for being well informed I heard beforehand that Geisel will use the AI-5 and intends to extend his reign in the Presidency of the Republic for six years and not five like the previous army. Geisel intends to put an end to the political rights of many other parliamentarians, and senior military officers should be careful! He will call this ‘controlled repression’. Laughing in disdain for the situation in the country, Mr. Guillermo also said Leftist terrorist actions and attacks will occur against newspapers, magazines, banks, in addition to ‘certain’ kidnappings, bombings... Behind them, there will be support from the ‘commissioned’ guerrillas which will direct the blame on these groups for those terrorist actions and everybody will have an aversion to these violent acts against ordinary people and attribute this to extremist groups. And Cuba will lose the opportunity to control that country! It is only a ‘little finger’ of our American patricians and the leftists will not be supported by the masses in view of the brutalities and unjustifiable violence that will reach the common people, even the poor! What a stupid party group! The Americans, in turn, play on both teams! They provide the government and opposition. You know this has been done in the past. Just tell the ignorant extremist terrorists to do... what they do! As long as the United States is the supplier of everything, to want the facilities of their companies and industries, we will have a lot of time before we see the end of this repression, this Military Republic! I believe that Brazil will continue to be the backyard of the Americans!" And ignoring him, he laughed with much irony.

How do you know Geisel will be the candidate? You're so sure! Mr. Guillermo just laughed and looked at him sideways without giving him an answer. Douglas remembered the ways in which his father obtained information and only mentioned Sometimes I see our employees dissatisfied with their salaries and so submissive… he tried to say, looking uncomfortable with the situation.

But, without letting his son finish, he gets nervous and cut him off:

"Do not give me that, boy! We pay what they deserve! If you're not satisfied, just quit! The military government has put order into this messy country!

The spirits, in favour with the causes of the affront, were satisfied with any setback, plotting, making a real fuss. They were unsettled by the house owner opinion

Mr. Guillermo continued with a long speech, while his son, Douglas, enjoyed his cigar with a few puffs, watching the smoke spread through the air. At this time, Douglas let his thoughts wander to other plans, paying no attention to what his father said.

In view of his son's selfless behavior, Mr. Guillermo remained silent. He took a few breaths, looked at Douglas seriously and then commented There's no reason to stay away from the issues of greatest interest because of your marriage. After all, this is nothing new to you... You're a widower and...

If marriage isn't new to me, father, my girlfriend makes me dream! he expressed himself smiling with the corner of his mouth.

"Douglas, Douglas... You were never a one-woman man... -... said Mr. Guillermo with a wry laugh -. I know everything you do out there. You think I don't know him?

Why, Father...! Douglas replied. He had someone to go out to.

They laughed together, but then, a little more seriously, he remembered

The unfortunate thing is that we have no ‘Gregori’ heirs! If you have no children, Douglas, as you had in your first marriage, our name will die along with our inheritance. I don't know what curse this family has suffered, but you are the only man left with all our assets here and abroad. Your cousins, in addition to losing their last names when they married, met some very bad husbands. All poor! For that reason, your grandfather was right to disinherit them. Now, it's just you and me. You were right to choose a young woman from a rich family… Laughing, he added ... some family rich of children and money. After all, Gorete's father manages beef cattle and, as smart as he is a landowner, he probably has a lot to offer.

Not to mention your political influence! remembered the son.

It 's true! This is important to us. I just hope this child doesn't die in childbirth, like the late Telma, and give us a man as our heir right away! Besides, Gorete can't be stubborn, like Telma, and must submit to the discipline imposed by her mother. You know…

The days passed and young Gorete was very excited and exuded happiness as she entered the lush Gregori family mansion.

Well-trained, but with fearful behavior, employees picked up the luggage for the couple's room while the girl, taking off her elegant and delicately adorned hat, turned, smiling happily, exclaiming to her husband who accompanied her with his eyes I' m full in soul!! What a wonderful trip! I will never forget Venice and Milan in Italy... not to mention Madrid, La Coruña and Santiago de Compostela in Spain…

You can get tired of Europe, my dear. We'll go back there when you want to, he said in a pleasant voice, hugging and kissing her quickly.

Mrs. Victoria, Douglas' mother, hearing the movement in her office, went to meet them without delay. After the traditional greetings, now more modest and less euphoric, Gorete said enthusiastically The trip was great! Lovely! They sang in the boat in the icy waters, while beautiful dolphins followed it forward, seeming to dance synchronously and with exquisite delicacy! Ah!! How beautiful!!

Why show off so much poetry, Gorete? He coldly inquired of his mother-in-law with contempt for her daughter-in-law's enthusiasm. Then, Mrs. Victoria justified herself bluntly Stop daydreaming, my dear. Put your feet on the ground! No dreamier and poetic child. She will have to assume a married woman's position with the responsibilities and duties that belong to her because of our social position and our own ostentatiousness.

A cold pierced the body of Gorete because of the harsh words and the imposition in the tone of voice of her mother-in-law. Her reception was disappointing. Shaking her speech at first, she apologized, but still impressed, the young woman reported Forgive me, Mrs Victoria. I'll take care of myself. I was excited about the fact that I never left Brazil. A trip abroad, especially with the country's politics, is very difficult. You need to have a lot of influence. I'm still amazed. Our boat trip was magnificent and I loved it! Knowing Italy and Spain, then... You know, the strong voice of the tenor who sang still resonates in my mind, as he drove us in the gondola in Venice and…

Still dreaming?! she interrupted her vehemently, complaining unsatisfied with Gorete's peculiar poetic way of describing situations, places and events. Frowning, Doña Victoria grunted I don't need so many details of situations I got tired to see! The gondola is just an old canoe that sails in a polluted river like any other!

I'm not an intellectual indigent, Mrs Victoria. I'm… she tried to defend herself in vain.

What is it, young lady? she interrupted her vehemently Do you want to face me the first day you come here? Remember that this is my home and this is where you will live! So submit to my preferences! Understood?!

Douglas naturally and with strange serenity intervened, smiling, when he realized his mother's greedy and incisive intolerance and, with simplicity, said Calm down, my mother. Gorete is happy and excited. Just that…

Douglas, I... Gorete tried to say.

Honey, let's try to reconcile, okay? Let's have class. We're noble, we don't belong to a worldly society.

Better go upstairs and get ready for dinner, which will soon be served! Mrs Victoria immediately demanded, as grumpy as ever, retiring with an arrogant attitude.

Douglas put his arm around his wife's shoulder and said with a polished and disguised politeness in his generous voice as they walked up the stairs Come on, honey. Forget what happened. You'll get used to my mother. She's a little demanding, but... she'll be easy to deal with.

Gorete, nervous, was biting her lips with the feeling of indignation and disappointment, and she disagreed with her husband for not defending her. The newly wife began to worry about this new residence, a noble mansion where Mrs Victoria was undertaking true mastery. She believed that, after this reception, her authoritarianism could only increase and perhaps she would not tolerate her mother-in-law's hostility. She never imagined it would be like that.

Quiet and serious, Gorete stopped her bitter feelings when her husband stopped in front of one of the rooms and, smiling, took her in his arms without her waiting.

The young dreamer left her sadness behind her intimate tortures and clung to her husband's neck, kissing him as they entered the luxurious room.

Her husband placed her, in a loving and gentle way, on the double bed, making the girl forget all her worries. Then she rejoiced, laughing out loud.

However, it was there that a new and quite different stage in Gorete's life began.

After dinner, as usual, Douglas and Mr. Guillermo settled comfortably in the living room, enjoying cigars and spirits.

Goet, well restrained and not knowing what to do, kept silent. The commercial matter didn't interest her. Restless, but disguising it with apparent tranquility, she glanced around the room boldly, reviewing every detail.

Restless after a few minutes, Douglas' young wife quietly got up, walked slowly to another room looking at the decoration, admiring the beautiful fine porcelain jars and anchors outlined and placed on the ebony shelves whose high values were given by the origin and antiquity.

Most of the furniture in the house, with details carved in the noble dark wood, together with the heavy curtains, offered a gloomy environment. Something that the young woman wanted, in her thoughts, to change.

She walked a few steps and stopped with her eyes enraptured in front of a beautiful object that she took carefully in her hands to admire it better.

Don't touch that vase, girl! ordered her mother-in-law, in a cry, as she caught her with the piece in her hands.

Alas! What a fright, Mrs Victoria! That way, I might even break the vase by accident, she said politely, putting the piece back in its place.

As she approached her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Victoria warned with irritating and demanding manners, and frowned even more at her already serious face.

Look, girl...! Don't think you're on your farm where you live among animals and eat like pigs without caring about anything. Everything in this house has a lot of value. Understand?!

If you think I lived in the woods like a savage, you're wrong, Mrs. Victoria! She said firmly, looking at her. And adding You can see that for yourself because I do not behave or speak like you.

The inquisitive and intolerant woman immediately, and without expecting it, slapped the young woman firmly and abruptly, and then spoke.  Impudent! Insolent! Who do you think you are?!

The abrupt assault was heard by Douglas and his father, who rushed to find out what had happened. When she met her husband, she hugged him and burst into tears.

In her own way, Mrs. Victoria told about the event and demanded that her daughter-in-law respect her.

Calm down, Victoria, said Mr. Guillermo, without any emotion. It's not that serious. I know that Gorete is not yet used to your whims. Everything is new to her, but soon she will understand and accept it he said with a look and a gesture that went through another intention.

She still mumbled certain demands annoyed but her husband again calmly interfered. It's too late now. The best thing is to go to sleep. We have a busy day tomorrow.

Douglas, still hugging his crying wife, offered her a half smile on his face and said absolutely nothing, only wished the parents good night and took her to the couple's room.

Seeing herself alone with her husband, secure of her privacy in front of the closed bedroom door, the young woman complained, crying, letting her drowned voice sound in disgust. "I refuse to live in this house! I won't tolerate being treated like this! Even my mother never slapped me!

Before we were married, I told you we'd live here with my parents. You can't claim ignorance. You knew that, said Douglas unperturbed, just looking at her.

No! I knew nothing about your mother's attitude! Demanding woman, of implacable cruelty...! I knew we'd live with your parents, but I didn't know I'd have to behave like a prisoner, a submissive servant, without even having the right to feel free to move things...! I can't even feel joy... No! I didn't know I'd be deprived of all freedom and, besides, attacked and offended!

He was firm and said to her with a serious look and a soft but firm voice: Let me be very clear, Gorete. We will not leave this house. I'm an only child and I will not abandon my parents. Besides, it's already been determined that I'm the one running the family business and I won't be separated from my father. He needs my presence and, of course, as his heir, I will accompany him in all decisions. Our future depends on it.

Feeling her heart squeezed by the sudden disappointment, she swallowed her saliva and even cried, said: If so, I absolutely refuse to leave this room and I don't want your mother near this door, she said, pointing nervously. It will be like that until you make a decision. I will not subject myself to such hostility and aggression!

Taking a deep breath, as if assuming another personality, he walked a few careless steps, stood in front of his wife and said with conviction. I think I was very clear in my explanations. We will live here. We will not leave this house!

I can't accept that! She complained in disbelief, as tears rolled down her face. You saw how your mother treated me since we arrived, and the worst thing... you saw her attacking me... Now you act as if nothing happened. It's as if Mrs. Victoria bewitched you! You can't even call it reality, tell her that her attitudes and words are rude, despicable, ordinary, cowardly...

Respect my mother! interrupted her in a scream. He said coldly: I can't tolerate an angry or bossy woman!

Without hesitation or thought, Gorete shouted at the same time: If you can't tolerate an angry or bossy woman, how do you live with your mother's bestiality?

Douglas already had his back to his wife, perhaps he intended to leave the room, but he turned and looked at her with a fierce gleam in his eye. He approached, grabbed her firmly by the arms and shook her with a very strong rattle and slapped her face. Pushing her over the bed in a sudden movement, commanding her with a rigor voice: From now on learn to measure your words when it refers to my mother. Mrs. Victoria makes the rules here. And you, who are nothing, just have to learn to obey them. Never again oppose anything in this house or while you're with us. Looking at her, he saw her dazed, her eyes wide open, and he still said: "I wouldn't like our first night at home to be like this. I thought you were a worthy and more docile woman. Change your ways or we will change you!

Gorete, lying on the bed, gave him a surprised and frightened look that accompanied him to the door and saw him, with polite gestures, leave the room without saying anything else.

The young dreamy bride covered her face with her hands and, in a compulsive scream, buried herself between the pillows, thinking it was all a nightmare. Even with confused thoughts, she began to discover and reflect on real life that was hard, distressing, and suffocating, that she would continue to be helpless. Unfortunately, sadness would consume her loving, dreamy, and joyful heart, which never had to hide its true feelings.

Oh, such pain! How much disappointment invaded her soul that foresaw a dim life, full of nightmares and fears. She was deceived by her husband's apparent courtesy and had no way of changing that now. Her parents were loving and understanding to a certain extent. They would never give in to the idea of welcoming her back after a wedding she insisted on.

Times were different, there was a lot of modesty. No one looked kindly on a woman who was separated or scorned, it would be a shame for the family.

Her thoughts were running fast. She was beginning to despair when she imagined what life would bring her from that day on. A wave of regret, revolt, and desperate sadness enveloped her painfully.

Right on her first night home, after returning from her honeymoon trip, her husband, who had been kind, loving, and caring, was rude, aggressive, and unforgiving.

Under the flickering light of the room due to the effects of the blinking curtains, Gorete lost her liveliness. Her strength seemed to be waning. She looked up at the ceiling, and although she was not crying, her eyes reflected resentment, hatred, sadness, and loneliness, feelings she did not know she could experience with such intensity. She found herself in a hostile and offensive maze from which it would be difficult to get out and live.

She was a good girl. Educated, polite. She always had a delicate smile on her pink face of generous beauty. Her long, well-groomed hair looked like an elegant wavy frame that contoured her face, giving her an almost angelic expression.

The youngest daughter. She was always the most spoiled by her parents, siblings, relatives and employees who showed special affection for the young woman, a constantly cheerful, courteous and dreamy poet who pleased everyone.

Now married and away from her family, it would be difficult to get rid of so many negative events she foresaw. When she met Douglas in the past, she was enchanted by his elegant figure.

A man with possessions and well dressed who was looking to acquire one of his father's lands, behaved like an impeccable gentleman, winning the girl's heart.

Dreamy and impulsive, she immediately fell in love with him, despite the age difference, as she was much younger.

When she was asked to date, her father, at first, hesitated to accept the engagement, but his delicate daughter begged for approval which was hardly forthcoming from the experienced gentleman who felt something wrong with the character of his future son-in-law. Not knowing how to explain it, her father believed that he did not like the idea of the engagement because his daughter was only sixteen and he was a widower.

Since he lived in the capital, Douglas traveled every two weeks to see the girl under strict supervision by the girl's family.

It was only at the engagement that Gorete and her parents went, for the first time, to the noble mansion of Douglas and his family, an opportunity when they had already set a date for the wedding for a few months because there was no obstacle to postponing that. The groom decided that they were going to live in that very spacious house and together with Mrs. Victoria and Mr. Guillermo. And the young woman's mother, interested in the financial well-being and future of her daughter, when she saw the groom's ostentation of wealth, began to support this marriage.

During the nuptials, a wonderful trip that lasted more than a month in Europe, Gorete had a loving man she always dreamed of, but who was now violent and the terror of her nightmares.

In the early hours of that cloudy and cold autumn morning, unlike the elegant European spring, lying in her bed, Gorete was between sleep and wakefulness, when she noticed a gentle touch in her hair. The soft touch reminded her of her mother's affection. She did not open her eyes, but felt warm and welcoming under the blanket that covered her body. She did not know if she was dreaming or awake when she heard a delicate voice I know how you feel, dear. It was like that for me. Don't feel bad. She's far from understanding the true meaning of love and doesn't even remember God's justice. Don't embrace hostile attitudes and don't join in what you're doing or you'll be as ruthless as they are.

‘My heart is tight. I'm desperate…’ replied Gorete in her thoughts. I don't know what to do…

Don't let hate or bitterness take over your heart. Time may seem too long, but wait. Don't think about revenge, forgive and don't be exasperated. You…

The voice ceased when she opened her eyes and was surprised by a figure that disappeared immediately, while a delicate perfume of flowers spread throughout the room.

Surprised, the young woman sat down and looked for someone. Her heart beat fast when she confirmed that no one was there. But she was sure she had spoken to someone.

She left the room changing quickly, looking for someone. The employees were dejected, greeting her shyly, without looking at her. Holding a maid, she asked in a polite voice: Please, can you tell me if everyone has already woken up?

In fifteen minutes, Mrs. Victoria and Mr. Guillermo will be at the table for breakfast she responded quickly after consulting the large clock placed in the room.

And Douglas? Did you see him? She asked, a little embarrassed.

No. I can't tell you anything, madam, said the girl, lowering her head.

    Thank you She said embarrassed.

Walking across the room, Gorete reached the wide window from which she could see the garden of the mansion, which showed the leaden sky. The day was as sad and resentful as she was.

Standing in front of that view, she remembered everything that had happened the day before and experienced great pain. The memory of the strange experience she had in the morning was vivid and disturbing.

I felt the caresses in my hair, the touch in my face...! She thought perplexed For a moment she seemed to be lying next to me... like a mother hugging a child... I'm not going crazy. I wasn't dreaming...

Taking her away from those thoughts, Mrs. Victoria, standing a few meters away from her daughter-in-law, asked her in a strong voice:

    Do you like bad weather?

Oh, Mrs. Victoria... I didn't even see you come close... Good morning! She was surprised, but she tried to hide her fear and be nice.

Good morning! The mother-in-law answered But you didn't answer my question!

Ah... yes... sorry... I got distracted... Yesterday's day was beautiful! And today... who knows... I prefer sunny days.

Looking up and down at her, the lady said nothing about the young woman's observation, always looking at her strictly: Good thing you're not lazy and get up early. I want everyone at the table to eat breakfast on time at six. We have schedules for everything in this house. Do you understand?

Yes, ma'am she accepted with a shy expression, meanwhile she got angry.

Then we'll talk and I'll explain exactly how everything works here.

At that moment the main door to the room opened. It was Douglas who had just arrived.

Good morning mother! he greeted with a smile. Then he approached his wife and, as if nothing had happened between them the previous night, he hugged her, kissed her forehead, greeted her and asked her: - Good morning, my dear! Did you sleep well?

Gorete was static. Unbelieving, she lost her words and just looked at him. Until the husband cynically insisted: Are you all right, my Love?

    Yes, I… I’m... she stuttered.

Then let's go get some breakfast! he said as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder, taking her to the other room where Mr. Guillermo and Mrs. Victoria were already.

While the servants were serving him, Mr. Guillermo talked to his son:

Today, when we get to the company, I want you to update yourself on the new things I have implemented. Your contribution, even if it is theoretical, by supporting me in the decisions taken, imposes respect for our autonomy.

What has my father changed in the company in such a short time that is so prominent? Douglas asked carefully.

From some positions that were relocated, layoffs because I was not satisfied with the employee, to entering an area that has not yet been explored such as the launch of innovative and revolutionary products. When we want and decide to control the market, my son, we cannot limit ourselves to simple sales and spread the results of our productions. We have to expand strategically, countering any competitor, defeating them as in a game of chess. Even if, for that, we have to use our influences to gradually increase our dominance over the market and increase financial capital.

I noticed, in your excitement, a taste of victory! Douglas argued with a slight smile after a cup of coffee I think you have made decisions of immense importance and crucial to our business.

"You'll have a surprise! A big surprise, Douglas!

I believe it! In fact, I look forward to seeing these changes. But I have to say that the power of a business founder is very important. The best financial results are shown in projects led by their creator. I will certainly support you, and it won't just be in theory.

Mrs. Victoria and Gorete remained silent.

The young wife was full of anger in her thoughts, not raising any suspicions with any expression. She wanted to see her parents, talk to her mother about her mother-in-law's cruel and vehement imposition, her husband's mistreatment and many other things, but she could not. She would have to ask permission to do so, no doubt there would be company and she would not feel comfortable talking. Besides, if her father and brothers knew that she was beaten so badly, they could kill Douglas and Mrs. Victoria. Gorete didn't want to see them get their hands dirty.

When she realized that her husband and son's breakfast was over, Mrs. Victoria spoke before getting up: Guillermo, you must notify Douglas of the reception we're giving here at our house.

Ah! How could I… the man lamented forgetting We will receive distinguished guests. Your mother takes care of everything as usual, he smiled.

Is this because of your influence to facilitate our business? the son asked, smiling maliciously from the corner of his mouth.

Now! Now! Now! In the world of trade, those who help don't do it for nothing. Everyone goes out to make a profit, my son! This reception is just another fraternization. You know.... He laughed willingly, standing up.

Don't worry about Gorete, warned Doña Victoria, looking at her daughter-in-law, who immediately opened her eyes wide. In a few days I will make this girl a lady worthy of the ostentation of our name, she laughed as she rarely did. We will take advantage of her beauty, her light and smiling posture, in addition to her rich vocabulary, her quick thinking and her charisma, as I already realized, in addition to other attributes... Your wife, my son, will receive all the splendor as the noble Mrs. Gorete das Neves Pereira Gregori! Gorete will certainly impress and influence everyone as we expect. Isn't that right, Gorete?" She finished smiling broadly while looking at his daughter-in-law.

The girl was as fearful and silent as ever. She couldn't even imagine what her mother-in-law's plans were to teach her any behavior she didn't know about.

Gorete did not know that Mrs. Victoria had already noticed her peculiar characteristics and special qualities, media or soul attributes that some people have to a bigger or lower degree, but when they are educated and trained, they can be put into activities manipulating mental energies through certain types of behavior, capturing phrases, gestures, body postures, etc. A whole set of attitudes added to the magnetic or mental energy of a person (spiritual energy) is capable of dominating vigorously, intentionally influencing the subconscious of another stimulating individual, neglecting his own thoughts. It is the power to impress on the opinions of someone they did not have or even to change, on purpose.

The science of modern psychology shows that there are ways to introduce thoughts or ideas into another person's subconscious: heterocongestion. This only happens when the conscious mind accepts the proposal of those who want to influence it for good or bad.

However, even those who have a strong opinion and do not want to change it, the deliberate suggestion or influence of someone with abilities and energies are capable of interfering and stimulating them in different ways to change their opinions, feelings and behavior. This is possible when the subconscious mind is placed in a state of receptivity to what is intentionally suggested to it, sometimes even in a repetitive way.

In order for the people’s mind to be placed in this receptive state without notice, it is necessary to place it in a condition or state of dreaming, some kind of whim of their imagination, dream of ostentation, fantasies or distractions.

However, the well-balanced, kind and vigilant person who is connected to God through loving thoughts is not influenced by the fact that his conscious mind is always alert and therefore his subconscious also rejects any intentional suggestion of another's idea or feeling, incarnate or disincarnate.

Usually, the incarnate who wants to persuade another person, uses some kind of phrases, gestures and body postures, offering a series of conditions to distract him, because that is what makes the subconscious a receptive person and receptive to changing opinions, thoughts, feelings and behaviors due to the strong impressions that this person receives from the conscious mind of those who want to influence him.

According to appropriate expressions, verbalizations, voice tones and circumstances such as: the desire and psychological need to be stressed, to feel one's sensuality, the dispersion of energies due to excessive attention to something or someone admirable, the lack or excess of courage, the waste of energy in narrating his exploits to assert himself, the acceptance of praise for his person, being proud about the admiration of his arrogance, the propensity for sexual desire due to another individual's body postures and sensual displays, even if he or she apparently has high class behavior , just adding to the alcoholic drink, some kind of narcotic, certain songs and environment, and all of this contribute to the change in thinking, opinion, feeling and behavior of someone who is under the influence of intentional suggestions. Consequently, the latter will have the subconscious fed by the impressions received from the conscious mind of those who would like to suggest them and, as if by their own will, completely change their thoughts, decision making and subsequent actions.

And that was exactly what Gorete will learn to do, under the influence of his mother-in-law, because the young woman had culture, intelligence, knowledge, attributes of her soul, along with a strong charismatic personality. However, we always harvest the kind of fruit from the seed that is planted. Remembering that the sowing is free, but the harvest is obligatory.

2.– MILITARY CONTROL AND TERRORIST ACTS

Under the excuse of taking over the Gregori family's most recent acquisition, Gorete's inheritance due to the death of his parents, Douglas found reason enough to stay away from home for several days, without his wife being able to complain. Because of her recent pregnancy, he did not want Gorete to accompany him. After all, going to the property would be very tiring for his wife and baby, as part of the road was unpaved and the car was swinging heavily on the dirt floor. Besides, that farm would bring back memories of his parents to Gorete, and that wouldn't do her any good in that state. She should be exempt from those worries.

An unhappy and bitter feeling enveloped Gorete, who suffocated her pain as she became depressed in the couple's room, thinking about the loss of her mother and father at such an important time, her first pregnancy. Now, she definitely felt alone.

She did not want the company of her mother-in-law, but she disguised herself very well and Mrs. Victoria, knowing that this behavior was related to the loss of her parents, did not bother.

Gorete remained silent. Suspicious of her husband's excessive traveling, she was sure she was being betrayed, but she said nothing. She shook her thoughts with great disgust for all that she was experiencing, soaking up her feelings of mourning that led her to immense regret for the decision she had made to marry Douglas. She was deceived by the gentle gestures, by the generosity that passed through him, making her experience emotions and passions so strong that she thought she was feeling a crazy and uncontrollable love.

Her brothers, after sharing the inheritance, forgot her. She didn't even have a sister to understand her. The sisters-in-law complained of her vanity and pride simply because Gorete had studied, was intelligent and snubbed her prose and verse in her speeches. They did not want her around. She was alone, bitter and hopeless. Her heart was heavy. Only endless tears ran down her beautiful face.

    * * *

A short time passed. When Douglas noticed her most recovered, he decided that a trip would be of great value to restore her mood. The wife accepted, but something had changed in Gorete and no one understood why.

One day, Gorete had heard, in part, a conversation between her in-laws about paying someone for the accident suffered by her parents and understood that Mr. Guillermo had probably planned it and wanted that land so badly. Douglas was able to share the inheritance slightly with his brothers-in-law and that farm was the first thing he suggested that he stay for Gorete. Now she understood why Douglas wanted to marry her so quickly.

It was in the couple's dark room that she isolated herself from the disturbing memories of her mother-in-law, from her elegant social posture, which she was supposed to simulate under the guise of cunning interests in social gatherings, from the intolerable lies of her husband who betrayed her, and from so many other things that had her mind filled with dark ideas, especially about the planned death of her parents in an accident. She wanted revenge.

Determined, she decided to be as covert and evasive as everyone else in that house, since there would be no one else to support her. She would not cry or complain about any situation. She thought she was smart and would know to wait for the right moment for a very appropriate revenge.

She would present herself as a meticulous and soft-spoken woman, always affable to everyone's satisfaction. She would no longer be a poet or a dreamer. But in the depths of her soul, she boldly schemed to betray them, punishing them when she had the chance, even if it took her so long, even at the cost of her life.

Meanwhile, Nicolle and Rossiani worked hard to get the farm back into production, at least for everyone's survival. The workers at Douglas' farm were instructed to provide as much help as possible. The foreman, with complete confidence, personally took care of any needs they might have, even lending farm machines and employees for the heavy work. Little by little, everything began to return to normal.

Rossiani controlled herself, but in her heart there was a desperation for the news of Thomas, her husband. Since the military invasion of those lands, all the men had disappeared without any news. With the exception of one of Tomas' two brothers, who was found dead, he was shot in the back as he passed the farm' s boundary.

Later, Rossiani's other brother-in-law returned. It was dawn, and without being seen, he went directly to the house where he lived with his wife and children. The man was badly wounded, weak and thin.

Crying, Rossiani almost demanded news of Thomas. However, he was confused, barely spoke, and when he did, he was slow. Traumatized by the horrific experience, always in a static way and with the words in the same order, he repeated:

Some men were arrested, beaten, tortured with the worst methods... tied up for days... We were hungry... and cold... One day they tied up some who knelt in front of a platoon of military personnel in the army... and were shot…

But what about Thomas?! turned Rossiani.

I don't know. I didn't see my brother anymore. They took him somewhere else... I just ran away.

    The man was clearly disturbed.

Two more of Thomas' brothers returned, but were not arrested and hid in the forest for several days. They also didn't know nothing about Thomas, because in the flight they were separated.

Eventually, some workers, who had not been arrested, returned. However, they had no news of him.

Rossiani was silent, in painful despair. However, she had to overcome the pain and transform the anguish into hard work, leaving it only to wait.

    * * *

During a dry season, Douglas discovered that his large farm was lowering the level of the springs and rivers at the extreme limit of scarcity, as they did not have enough water for breeding.

Rossiani and Nicolle, very grateful for the help of their neighbors in very difficult times, allowed the cattle to cross the border of the site to drink and eat in those still green pastures because of the privilege of the location. In recognition of the favor and with the consent of the sisters, Douglas arranged for the construction of long fences so that his cattle would not invade the agricultural area of the place, since, also thanks to him, he provided several services with modern agricultural machines and the work of his rural workers to take care of the cane fields, the orange trees and other plantations.

Apart from that, Nicolle and Douglas became increasingly involved. In secret, Douglas explained to the young woman and her sister that their trip abroad was due to the search for doctors and hospitals capable of curing their mother, but all was in vain. He stated that Mrs. Victoria's heart problem was incurable and was getting worse every day.

Rossiani felt that something was wrong, but said nothing. Nicolle, in love, firmly believed and only suffered from longing.

She was more and more moved by the illness of her date's mother. She understood and accepted the biggest and most scandalous subterfuges, the cunning excuses used by him under the pretext of not introducing her to his family and getting engaged.

On the other hand, although surprised by the lack of news about her husband and some of the workers who disappeared, Rossiani guided her sister and warned her not to trust Douglas.

"Now! Rossiani! It is absurd to doubt Douglas' integrity. He simply doesn't ask our daddy's permission to sign a commitment because papa and mama are in Italy. É compreesibile esta situazione, ¿certo?!" said nervously Nicolle, using Italian words in her speech due to her irritation and the fact that her sister insisted on warning her so much.

I know. I understand the situation. Our parents are far away and it is not possible to get their blessings and permission. But Nicolle explained Rossiani gently in her voice and always cautiously, if Douglas' mother is sick and practically has her days counted while he talks, why doesn't he bring his father here to meet you? His father isn't sick, is he? I heard that the man had already visited the farm next door and the strangest thing was to know that the employees have express orders from Douglas not to say anything about his engagement. Did you know that?

"Of course! Of course I am aware. But Douglas told me that his dad would tell the woman, hey! He's molto wise. So much so that Signore Guillermo non lida com los negozios da famiglia.... In other words, Nicolle said: It's not very wise. So much so that Signore Guillermo does not take care of the family business...", but she was interrupted by a scream from her sister.

Speak up, Nicolle! Why do you insist on talking like dad?! Rossiani screams enraged We've lived in Brazil long enough not to have an accent! And you, uselessly, have been insisting even more on talking like that! Why don't you get alphabetized? It would be more useful!

I like to talk like that and Douglas likes to see me talking like that!! It must be that lady Josephine, a meddlesome old healer, who is putting these things in your head! shouted Nicolle, turning her back on her sister and leaving her alone.

Without thinking, Nicolle walked aimlessly. When she realized it, she was heading to Douglas' property. In her heart she wished to meet him, since it was the weekend and her boyfriend hadn't been there in more than twenty days.

After a long walk, she appreciated the clear transformation of the land into the farm and, without stopping, she was thoughtful. Despite this change, she didn't seem to appreciate her sister's words much and, smiling, she moved, moving her body to the beautiful sway of her long dress that crawled to the floor and followed the movement of her long wavy, beautifully disheveled and loose hair.

When she arrived at the farm, in her hot and sensual form, wearing her blue that emphasized her lush lap, smiling pretentiously and arrogantly, she asked the employee, showing herself playfully with her beautiful strong Italian accent in her firm voice:

"¡¿E tuo patrone, signore Douglas, é qui?!"

Facing her, looking up and down and disguising the malicious intent, the foreman responded thoughtfully and quietly with a hoarse voice:

Please forgive me, but I don't understand your language very well.

I want to know if your boss, Mr. Douglas, is here.

No. He hasn't been here in days... Is there anything I can do to help or send the pawns to do for the lady? Because Mr. Douglas gave the order to help you with anything. Anything... he ended up, whispering in a hoarse voice.

The smile vanished immediately on Nicolle's white face, who, in disguise, did not show her disappointment about the unexpected situation. Sober, because she perceived the child with a cynical smile, transmitting bad intentions by looking at her in a different and voluntary way, she responded seriously and with firm words:

No! she said sternly, in a high-pitched voice and with her strong accent, immediately acknowledging the irony she noticed in the boy. There is nothing that can serve me! When I see Douglas, I will tell him about the help you offer me. Do you understand, huh? And when he arrives, tell him that I want him to find me immediately.

Yes, miss, he mumbled, even with irony. You may leave.

Proud, Nicolle didn't look back, she raised her head, now, furious with troubling thoughts. But she considered herself strong, she wouldn't be distressed and would know how to wait.

    * * *

Douglas, due to meetings and celebrations in the company of her group of high society friends and influential military men who took power, especially due to common concerns with her son of a few months, stayed for days without going to the property.

Gorete seemed more serene than ever. One night, when Douglas had not yet arrived, she was between sleep and wakefulness, when he felt a slight caress on her face, she heard a soft voice murmuring tenderly:

We need a child... your Igor. Where is your baby?

Surprised, she sat up on the bed, her gaze frightened all over the room where there was only furniture. The voice sounded like a temptation to wake up.

I’m sure someone spoke to me! She murmured in astonishment and looking at the crib, she asked, Where is my son?

Getting up quickly, she put on her robe and, while tying it up, left the room almost in despair.

Going down the dimly lit corridors, she hurried up the stairs. She stopped on the landing, looked around and decided not to look for her mother-in-law, thinking she was sleeping. This floor of the house was exclusive to the rooms and she saw no light under any door to indicate that anyone was awake. No sound, no complaints from her son. Guided almost mechanically by a strange force, Gorete quickly walked down the stairs, looked through the floor below and found no one.

Digging deeper into the house, she went into the kitchen and out into the yard without finding any servants. The night was very dark. It was dark. An agony hung in her chest. She went to a small unoccupied house at the end of the courtyard. Realizing that a certain light seemed to be coming from there, she went to the door, which was always closed and whose interior he had never seen.

A tremor dominated her body, but Gorete encouraged the knob to move the handle vaguely, and to her surprise, it was not locked as usual. Pushing the door slowly, overcoming his fear, she saw several people in strange clothes, hooded in such a way that they could not see their faces if they did not raise their heads properly.

Most of them were women, all of them sounding with their throats at the same harmonic vocal rhythm, something musical never heard before, like a mantra. They were placed in different geometric formations, the last formation was that of a circle around a table covered with purple cloth, similar to an altar and with candles, daggers of strange shapes and sizes, accessories unknown to her. Discomfort overcame the young woman when she saw a little sink of hidden rituals for sacrifices, where still fresh blood was flowing. What seems dark in the physical plane, in spirituality, is almost indescribable to narrate because it is horrible, excessively terrible, really frightening!

Gorete almost screamed. She was terrified and backed away, but was seen by someone who called her. She was surprised when the door was closed by a person who seemed to be waiting for her to enter the room, but who was also waiting for her escape attempt.

What's going on?! she cried out in her thoughts, terrified. Is it a satanic ritual? Something devilish?!"

Mrs. Victoria, dressed like the others, approached her and tried to calm her down. She took her daughter-in-law to the circle of people. Seeing her eyes wide open on her pale face, she said in a soft voice:

Don't be afraid, my dear. What you are seeing are only ritual activities for the action of mystical and far-reaching forces of the gods.

Where is my child? Gorete asked with a mix of strength and fear

He is sleeping! stated the lady in a generous and captivating tone When I entered your room, you were sleeping soundly. I didn't want you to be disturbed and asked the housekeeper to look after my grandson. In fact, Igor was also sleeping like an angel…

What's going on here?! What kind of blood is that?

We were waiting for you to be part of this esoteric sect, restricted to a very exclusive small group. And its time to gradually become aware of our practices and rituals as a whole, so that they can be synchronized with a change in consciousness, behavior and opinions. Nothing absurd, Gorete.

How did you know I would come here? Before hearing any answer, she was overwhelmed by the feeling of greed and some kind of power that attracted her. Despite some fear, she showed interest: What do I get if I stay?

Oh... sweetheart... said Mrs. Victoria friendly You are a special creature. There are many gifts that you are not even aware of. As you know, the gift added to knowledge is supreme to our group. Our fraternity is secret because of its esoteric foundation, all knowledge is secret, hidden. You only have to participate, and there, gradually, you will have all the necessary knowledge. Our work here, when we practice these rites, is to invoke entities to worship them, to thank them, to make offerings... We also have active work with certain gods which can give us thanks, goods and control of what we want! she said excitedly "How can we direct a kind of punishment or sorrow to our enemies, but through these gods? These beings, whom we cannot even call spirits once they are above that, have their own methods to provide even cures, revealing the future to us! It is something with supernatural processes, hidden forces that rule the universe, nature Don't be alarmed by the objects we have here, they are offerings or used for such purposes, some also represent the divinities themselves, they are used for what we want to obtain.

The young woman said nothing. Another woman approached, wearing the same clothes as the others, and with a wide smile offered her to Gorete who received her.

Today is a special day! Mrs. Victoria spoke happily Here we have a beginner, a novice of our fraternity practices who is ready to contact worship and other obediences and graces to the gods who support us.

In spirituality, the dark creatures filled the room in an impressive way! They were spirits without
