About this ebook
“Ascend through the mists of your mind and embrace your own awareness”
Life is a wondrous dance of contradictions. An ephemeral journey in search of meaning on a changeable path of dreams and reality, our existence shaped through joy and sadness, love and heartache, death and rebirth, and an intricate web of so much more.
Within the poetic pages collected in Soul Searcher, Kimberly invites you to walk along with her as she tries to find balance in these mercurial emotions, seeks a touch of magic in the mundane, and embraces her budding sense of awareness, hoping that her words will inspire, empower and gift a sense of tranquillity that encourages you to keep exploring your own soul searching journey; a path that none of us truly venture upon alone.

dedicated to my grandparents;
your unconditional support
allowed me to follow
my dreams...
All my love
these memories i hold
I am a soul searcher lost out in a sky of wishes, bleeding paint and stories onto the canvas of my life. I am a dreamer often looking within to find meaning without, my eyes ever straying to places only I know how to see. I am a romantic, a lover, a fighter, scarred and bruised yet not backing down. I am a keeper of yesterday and tomorrow, inking treasured thoughts upon my tender heart. I am a child, a girl, a woman, ever gathering these memories I hold.
a soul’s metamorphosis
Receiving
the gift of life, ink washes
into clouds in the sky;
From black to white,
I transform—a butterfly.
memory of pain
Rebirth regenerating,
silken wings tremble
and shiver,
Carefully reaching,
they tentatively aim
for the stars,
Breaking free
from the touch
of a lonely giver,
Gone upon a breath
are the aching remnant
of scars,
For one with the wild
whispering wind
I soar,
The memory of pain
keeping me chained
no more.
mortality
Featherlight
it dances along
this wildflower trail;
a white cotton
butterfly,
Its life so short,
yet so joyfully lived—
I watch it flutter past
and ponder
my mortality.
