    The door to the bedroom creaked slightly as Veronica made her way out of the musky bedroom. She glanced back at Larry as he stirred, catching her breath, and holding still in fear he might wake. Each day since her wedding she walked on eggshells. Larry was the Head of the household, a house of just two. Larry was old fashioned, he had always been the bread winner of the family and expectations that Veronica to raise the children, children unfortunately she could not have, so it fell to her to be the home maker. Larry did not wake, and Veronica continued to tip toe from the dark bedroom. With no job or career to busy her mind she found little too do most days. She would find herself foraging the woods across from the house, stretching her legs by the water tower or gardening, a hobby that would lead to constant arguments and belittling.
