Five years into Cino’s prison sentence.

Man, I can’t take this prison shit.

You made your bed, now lay in it. Ah, yeah, I forgot, you’re not guilty of what you’re charged for.

Yo, Mind, you know if I was going to lie, it wouldn’t be to you. I’m guilty of a lot of things, and just like this case, if I was caught, they would never let me out. In fact, even with all my money, they could still give me the injection.

Mastermind knew Cino was speaking of the murder of his brother, where Cino decapitated his brother, and it made his anger boil. Yeah, I can only imagine.

I’m telling you, the nightmares I’ve had and with my son out there never to know me, and that crazy bitch Chanelle and that bitch-ass nigga Mayham raising him as their own.

If he only knew Mayham has finally made it to mob status as well as being a platinum rap artist, but his true passion was his lucrative hit man profession. Chanelle turned out to be a Mafia princess, her dad being the don of dons, and Mastermind had been holding this favor for just the right time, and revenge was on his mind.

    Chapter 1

    Meeting of the Minds

I got something tell you, Cino, and I don’t want you to tell your mama. Mastermind knew of Cino’s moms murder, but this was all a part of his plans. Anybody else would have mentioned of his mother. Whether they knew of the situation or not, she would have been dead, no questions asked. Mastermind saw the tears building up and used this as mental registry and a future play to get Cino to expose more of his weakness, but what Mastermind did not realize was he himself was a weakness due to Cino seeing him as a father figure.

Here is the rundown. I know this guy, and let’s say he is someone very important, and not just to the underworld. Anybody that gets under him becomes very powerful, and rumor has it your boy Mayham has got into his good graces. Well, he owes me a favor, and now is a good time to cash in. You know how it works, but I couldn’t just leave you hanging. I’ve grown to like you. Plus, Mastermind thought to himself, I got to keep my enemies close, and, Cino, you definitely an enemy. I want to get you under him. I need to talk to him first, but I do have a play, and it might be beneficial for you. I’ll get back at you.

    I’ll be waiting, Mind.

    Days later.

Hey, your brother was Patch, and he worked for Kingpin, right?

    Yeah, what of it?

Well, we have something in common, a mutual enemy, and we have mutual reasons for him to be our enemy, and you know what they say?

    Nah, what’s that?

A friend of my enemy is my enemy, and an enemy of my friend is my enemy.

So what are you saying, that we are friends?

I’m saying I want you to do a favor for me.

    And what is that?

I want you to kill Cino.

I thought that was yours, man.

It may seem that way, but not everything is the way it seems.

Why, and what’s in it for me?

He killed your brother, and Kingpin was my brother. He killed him too, so the hit is lifted.

    What hit?

Let’s just say your brother got you in a situation and I did not have you green light even though my brother wanted to make an example out of you. I spared you, so kill Cino! He is as good as dead! Mastermind already knew Patch’s brother was nowhere near Cino’s level, so he had a plan to at least buy him some time. I’ll set up the play.

    Hours later.

Hey, Cino, there is this guy. He is talking about he has beef with you suppos’ly, he saying you killed his brother. Here is a shank, you might need it.

    Minutes later.

I have the play set up for you, and this here will make you famous, a hit on infamous Kingpin, huh He knew this was the motivation Patchs’s brother needed, but at the end, it would do him no good, but it would buy Mastermind some time.

The next day on the yard, Patch’s brother confronted Cino.

Word has it you killed my brother.

"I killed a lot of people. You have to be more specific.

    Patch. He worked for Kingpin.

That rat you mad about is a FBI informant. Hahaha! You’re probably a rat too! Cino knew these words were disrespectful and was already planning to take it to the next level.

    You calling me a snitch!

No, I’m calling your whole family a bunch of snitches. Ha! I’ll see you! Big mistake. Right then Cino grabbed his shank and stuck Patch’s brother in the neck, instantly taking life.

Instantly the response team hit the yard. The sirens went off. The sergeant of the team started yelling, Get on the ground now!

An hour later, in the warden’s office.

You have been nothing but trouble since you got here, Cleofus. Oh, you don’t like when called by your first name you. You was hoping this stunt will get you off this facility, didn’t you? No, I wouldn’t give you the satisfaction. No, not one bit. You spit in my face one time, do you remember, Cleofus? Yeah, you remember.

We can’t let the past be the past, warden?

No, I will break you down physically as well as mentally!

Is that a promise? If so, I got a promise for you. I will kill you somehow some way.

    Put him in the hole!

It’s not like I’ve never been there before.

    Hours later.

Can I get something to eat? I have not ate yet.

Suddenly across the way, a few cells down, a voice said, I don’t think you want to eat nothing in here. You might get some poison, or even worse, some glass.

So what, do I do starve?

You might not be able to get anything from the store with your account being closed, but I can.

    You trying to play me?

Nah, I’m trying to eat. I know who you are. I’ve heard of stories of the Cutthroat Committee, and I know they can never keep someone like you down.

This was just what Cino’s ego needed.

I’ll see what I can do. For now I will send some food down your way. It ain’t much, but it will get you by.

Fifteen minutes later, care package was in his cell.

Good looking. That was on GP. If I can do more, I got you.

Thanks, you did more than you can imagine. Cino began eating hungrily and thinking about how he could get back at his enemies.

I got a long list. Chanelle and Mayham are at the top of my list. Next is Federal Agent Johnson, and I can’t forget the judge. Oh, then the warden and his flunkies. I’d fuck that one.
