    CHAPTER 1

Looking up, I gazed into the eyes of a hot, attractive fellow straddling me. I reached up with my hand and caressed Gavin's strong, muscular arm. This gorgeous fellow wore a white tee-shirt that showed off his upper body and pec muscles, oh so, magnificently. I noticed Gavin's denim jeans clung nicely to his tight buns which made his behind something I couldn't tear my eyes away from. All I imagined doing right now was to squeeze and massage his firm buttocks, with pleasure. Gavin lowered his head toward my chest which caused my heart to beat even harder. As I puckered up my lips getting ready to kiss him on the side of his cheek, I felt his ear brush the top button on my cashmere sweater and his soft, brown hair tickled my neck as he listened to my heartbeat. Odd, I thought to myself. Maybe it's a new love technique I've never seen done before. Oh well, whatever it was, I enjoyed it.

As I continued to enjoy myself, I looked up again but this time I saw a blurry figure that stared down at Gavin and me. Everything became fuzzier as time went on and it became difficult to make out anything but I did happen to catch a glimpse of the figure. I recognized that smiling face that stared down at me; it was my best friend, Cindy. What? I was bit confused. Why in the world is Cindy here with me and this hot guy? Oh, no! It's not what I think it is. Is it? Noooo, couldn't be that!

Next, I rubbed my eyes to take away the blurriness but that didn't help one bit at all. Then things began to slowly take a turn for the worse. I not only saw Cindy, I saw a large crowd of blurry figures gathered around me and gawking. What? Oh, No! What was going on here? Each fuzzy figure, there after, became more recognizable as time went on. I saw Mr. Harwick, who still had a gleam in his eyes from earlier in the day. Right behind Cindy stood Sheriff Gopher who stuffed his face with my delicious pies. I also caught a glimpse of Mrs. Boscove sippin' on her coffee.

Then, Gavin, who now was only a blur to me, sprinkled some water on my face and laid a cold, wet cloth on my forehead. He also pulled my droopy lids open and shined a penlight into them. I heard him say, Looks okay.

My eyes slowly fluttered open after the cold, wet cloth hit my forehead. The coldness from the rag caused a rush of adrenaline to flow through my veins just like the rush after drinking a Red-Bull energy drink. The blurry, attractive fellow continued to listen to my heart. He placed his ear against my chest again and my heart did several more flip-flops. Sounds fine! Gavin exclaimed to the crowd.

Am I dreaming or what? Instead of puckering up and giving loving kisses like I intended, I decided to pinch and poke at the attractive fellow for several seconds to see if he was real or not.

I heard a sexy, deep voice say, Polly, what are you doing? Stop that! That hurts. Just relax for me.

Next, I pinched my forearm. Ouch! I cried out. Then it hit me with full force. I realized, Oh my Gawd! I wasn't dreaming. Out of embarrassment, I jumped up from my shop's hard, cold floor and ran into our back kitchen area anxiety-ridden, red as a beet, I imagined, and shrieked the whole way there.

As I evacuated the scene making my way through the crowd, I overheard Gavin say, She passed with flying colors. I think she will be fine after that tumble to the ground.

    Cindy guffawed and
