Anna Danville is recruited by a wealthy CEO to help find his wife and rescue her from a mysterious sex cult masquerading as a religious organization. The cult uses drugs and hypnotic mind control to bend their members will to their own and perform debauched acts which they will video and then extort money from the members who try to leave.

Anna is a police investigator and has been deployed in various undercover assignments during her career. Mr. Bannon, the wealthy land developer relates to Anna all the traps and pitfall of going undercover into the cult. Inoculating her with an antidote to the potent drug the cult uses to control its members is the first thing he does once Anna agrees. Then he provides her something to counter act the drugs his wife has been subjected to. When Anna arrives at the cult mansion, she is shocked at what she sees. Even having been given advance warning by Mr. Bannon she had not expected such deviant behavior.

The mansion was wall to wall orgy overseen by the female leader of the cult who wandered about the lascivious activities taking place, nude and adorned with a mask to cover her identity. For some unknown reason the group leader is highly suspicious of Anna and forces her to endure a gauntlet of tests to prove her authenticity. The tests unfortunately prevent Anna from finding Mrs. Bannon and tested her sexual endurance. Would she be able to complete the mission, or would she be outed and dealt with accordingly?

She had no idea that one of the most difficult days of her life was about to begin when her phone woke Anna at 6:38 am on a Saturday morning,

When she answered she hadn't even bothered checking the caller ID.

Is this Detective Danville? Anna Danville a man with a posh RP British accent asked.

Yes! Speaking. Who is this?.

My name is Robert Brannon. You may have heard of me. You don't know me. But I know you and need your help. It's quite urgent.

You’ve got sixty seconds to tell me about it. she said with mild interest.

The message was enough to rouse her from a groggy state. She sat upright in bed and paid closer attention. On occasions, she'd get these types of anonymous calls and they usually ended up being nothing. Other times they led to big cases.

Often featured in local television and media reports. Brannon was a man who many people loved and. others hated. He was a wealthy, middle-aged British man who made a fortune in real estate using questionable tactics.

The name sounds familiar, she replied.

Good, because I have a case for you. Only for you. Not the entire force.

Sorry. I’m not a private dick.

I can pay you a lot of money, he offered.

Mr. Brannon, I don't do private work.

I don't think you fully understand the gravity of the situation. My wife's been taken from me and you're the person best suited to help, given the nature of your recent investigations.

It only took a split-second before Anna made the connection. Her task force had been going after a shadowy cult, which engaged in drug induced sexual practices and hypnosis to bring members closer to their spiritual leader. Of course, they also emptied the bank accounts of members along the way.

Their suspected crimes included blackmail, extortion, and violent threats against members who wished to leave.

Progress had been made on the case over the past year, and there were some strong leads, but ultimately they lacked the proof or hard evidence necessary to bring charges that would hold up in court. Witnesses constantly changed their stories or refused to cooperate.

You seem to know a lot about me already, she said. So if you want to talk, let's talk.
