Professor Aditya Bhattacharya's life takes a turn for the surreal when he is cursed by his mentor for stealing a book. As a result, the characters from his book come to life. He must find a way to send them back to the book and finish writing it, but with the curse hanging over him and the characters causing chaos in the real world, it will be no easy task. Can Aditya break the curse and complete the book, or will he be doomed to live with the consequences of his actions forever?

Atul Mohite is the author of four books - Lucid Dream, Of Two Minds, Jean Angel and Lucid Dream- The Journey Resumes. With Lucid Dream being his debut novel, published when he was nineteen years old. His books address complex themes involving psychology, romance and adventure inspired by his life events. He was born in Karad, Maharashtra where he currently works as an officer at Bank of India. He enjoys listening to music and playing lawn tennis during his spare time.

Chapter 1
As Suraj trudged through the frost-tipped grass on that cold winter morning, his mind was heavy with the weight of loss. It was the second anniversary of the car accident that had taken his parents from him, and try as he might, he couldn't shake the feeling of grief that seemed to grip his heart every year on this day.
Normally, he would have returned home by now, greeted by the warm glow of the rising sun. But today, he had left the house earlier than usual, unable to find rest as he lay awake in bed, haunted by memories of his parents.
Leaving the safety of his public school behind, Suraj had returned home to live with his brother, Sanket, who was now studying engineering at college. Despite Sanket's best efforts to lift his spirits and encourage him to return to school, Suraj remained resolute in his decision to forge his own path in life.
Sanket couldn't help but wonder how difficult it must be for Suraj to navigate this competitive world on his own, but he knew that his brother was determined to make the most of every day, no matter how difficult it may seem.
As a young man, Sanket often struggled to understand his parents' love and attention towards his brother, Suraj. To them, Suraj was a special
child, but to Sanket, it seemed as though Suraj received all the adoration and praise, despite Sanket's own accomplishments in school and extracurricular activities.
