I stand up and drop into a crouch as the door squeaks on its hinges. With my hands cuffed behind my back, my curls wild around my head, and my shirt still askew from last night’s event, I prep for another fight.

Alphas never accept the word no, much less the repercussions of touching an omega hell bent on not being touched.

Their poor self-inflated egos just can’t handle it, especially when the tiny female they intend to push around completely destroys them.

Idiots.

Two guards wait on the other side of my cell door, covered head to toe in black and carrying a slew of non-lethal weapons. The thick, sleek batons gripped in their hands send chills down my spine, but I drop lower into a crouch and fill the air with a warning rumble.

The alpha who attacked me last night stands several feet farther down the hall, holding his tablet in one hand. His other arm is in a sling.
