CLOUDE ACADEMY: a sidekick story

Peril Perception: that sense that something bad is happening, or is about to happen. All superheroes get it, even sidekicks, and at this moment it’s crashing over me like a wave. I look around the library . . . everyone has felt it; something seismic is going down. I gulp, take a shaky breath and then before the others have even put down their pencils, I am racing towards danger.

The superfast runners and teleporters overtake me in seconds.

By the time I reach the netball courts the whole school is out there, staring anxiously at the sky. A storm cloud glowers over the transparent dome that protects us, a billowing purple thunderhead.
