About this ebook

Trauma is an integral part of the human condition.  Everyone will experience hurt and pain.  Souls incarnate in this very dense and challenging plane, three-dimension Earth, for growth.  Intense soul growth can be the purpose of trauma.  But how do we grow?  How do we heal from trauma?  Through forgiveness.  In Finding Forgiveness: Surprising Healing from the Higher Self, Holly Duckworth shares wisdom from the Higher Self on a process for forgiveness.

She has gleaned this wisdom from her practice facilitating Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT®) for more than a decade.  QHHT® is Dolores Cannon’s modality of hypnosis.  Working with hundreds of clients in the deepest level of trance, in conversation with the Higher Self, she has learned this sacred forgiveness process.  It is an alchemy turning human trauma into soul growth.

Continuing from her prior book, Finding Purpose: Surprising Wisdom from the Higher Self, Holly shares more wisdom from the Higher Self.  In this second part of the trilogy, Holly explores, perhaps, the most important tool for healing – forgiveness.  From “Them”, she has been given a 4-step process to heal through forgiveness: see, accept, release, and move.  In Finding Forgiveness: Surprising Healing from the Higher Self, she shares this process in detail along with client session segments and other insights presenting eternal and universal wisdom about healing from the trauma of the human condition.

    Finding Forgiveness - Holly Duckworth

    Introduction

DOLORES CANNON WAS my teacher and an amazing person. She was a formidable researcher of lost knowledge, writing 20 books about her revelations from her hypnosis practice. She was a powerful force well into her 80s. She passed from this world in 2014. She created and began teaching Quantum Healing Hypnosis TechniqueTM late in her career and as of this writing, there are over 3,000 practitioners listed at www.QHHTofficial.com. In short, this powerful woman of humble beginnings ushered in a new era of healing through connection to the Higher Self.

Dolores’s technique for the QHHT® process involves what some call past life regression. This is a process by which you experience a different life firsthand, accessing details of another person’s life through hypnosis. Smells, sounds, conversations, events, and even thoughts and emotions are all experienced as if the one in hypnosis is there, being that other person, up to and including their death. This aspect of QHHT® can be very therapeutic. First, recognizing that this isn’t the only shot at life relieves a lot of pressure on getting this one right. We’ve all experienced many, many lives. Each, results in incremental soul growth. Your life now is only one in a string of learning opportunities. Secondly, the empathic process of knowing another person’s thoughts and emotions as if they are your own is helpful. It helps with realizing that you aren’t weird or broken. You’re just another human having another human experience. Lastly, experiencing the death process and how easy it is, can alleviate an enormous amount of existential angst about your mortality. To you, your death will be as easy as your birth was. Or, as Dolores Cannon says, your death will be as easy as getting up from one chair and sitting down in another.

However, I don’t resonate with the words past life. First, our quantum physicists have repeatedly demonstrated the illusion of time. That is the very gist of Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. There’s just no such thing as objective time. And eternity isn’t a really, really long time. It is timelessness. So, if there’s no such thing as time how can there be past lives? All is happening now. All lives are now. And that’s the secret to how we can heal across lives. More on that later.

Secondly, with all the other lives that I’ve witnessed through client experience, lives as rocks, mountains, clouds, drops of water, stars, planets, and pure energy. We are all just consciousness experiencing an existence. For example, I once had a client regress as a rock. I had to ask, how does a rock die? Does it have to wait until it’s a grain of sand? No. Spirit, consciousness, simply decides to leave that form and that experience. Our consciousness can have any experience that it wants, for any reason, at any time. So, in your essence, at a soul level, you don’t have past lives. You are consciousness having any and all incarnate experiences in the now.

In QHHT® sessions, we visit one of these other lives (please note that I did not say one of your past lives). To practice QHHT® just like Dolores means spending at least five hours with each client in a single session. I’ve had sessions last eight or even twelve hours. But, most typically, they are five to seven hours. This means that the QHHT® practitioner is focused on only one client per day, for the whole day. The client comes to the session with a list of all the questions that they want to have the Higher Self answer. At the start of each session, the client and practitioner spend a few hours just chatting. This is to ensure that the practitioner fully understands what the client is interested in achieving with the session. During this conversation, the client and practitioner are getting to know each other, discussing the client’s questions and the context around those questions. The client’s questions might be about physical or emotional healing, life decisions, relationships, past, present, or future.

Only then do we start the hypnosis. In QHHT® sessions, the client is in hypnosis for around two to three hours. That’s an incredible luxury of time that allows a very deep trance state to be achieved. And this is when the practitioner has a conversation with the Higher Self to answer all the client’s questions and conduct any healing that is needed. I usually have the Higher Self scan the client’s physical body to ensure that there are no physical issues that the client might not be aware of. And then I’ll ask the Higher Self to please scan the emotional body. I’ll get all of the questions thoroughly explored and answered by Them, including those about physical and emotional healing. Everything is audio-recorded during the hypnosis. And the client is given the recording to work with after the session.

I think that’s where the real healing happens, by listening to the recording over and over and over again. Now, don’t get me wrong. Instantaneous healing happens in the session. I’ve seen cancer tumors dissolve before my eyes. Many miracles happen! But, there’s the opportunity for continued healing as the client works with the recording after the session. Just popping in to listen to 5 or 10 minutes of recording every day, and over years, can do wonders for spiritual growth and continued healing. The quantum healing continues through the recording for years after the session.

In the deepest state of relaxation, allowing your conscious mind to get out of the way, you have access beyond the body and beyond the ego-self. You have access to the eternal part of you, the Higher Self. Working with this energy, trauma can be healed and forgiveness initiated. However, it’s important to understand who is doing the healing in a QHHT® session. It is NOT the practitioner! It is an aspect of you that I call the Higher Self. If you read any of Dolores Cannon’s books, you see answers denoted as coming from the SC. When Dolores first encountered what she called the SubConscious, she asked Them what They wanted to be called. They said They didn’t care what she called Them, and that They would work with her regardless. In her thinking at the time, SubConscious was the closest description that she could come up with to explain to the public how her form of hypnosis worked.

After so many decades, QHHT® practitioners have morphed our collective understanding in an attempt to clarify the term, and SC now means SuperConscious, instead of SubConscious. SuperConscious seems to better reflect the grand, connected, collective and eternal aspect. For ease and clarity for non-practitioners, in this book, I will refer to this same thing as the Higher Self. When asked, the Higher Self will always say that They are eternal. They will say that They have always been with you since you separated from Source or God. They are always with you now. They will always be with you. They know everything about you. They say They don’t have a name. Some traditions may refer to this type of phenomenon as the soul, the true self, the luminous self, etc. Humans have made lots and lots of names for Them. And They have said that They don’t care what we call Them.

Also, when referring to the Higher Self, you may have noticed that I use the plural pronoun They, and that I choose to capitalize They. The capitalization is out of reverence. Let me explain why I say They instead of he, she, or it. Usually, if They refer to Themselves in a QHHT® session, They will use a plural pronoun. They refer to Themselves as We: We would like for her to do this. We would like for him to spend more time doing that. So, I refer to Them as a plural construct. That’s who is doing the healing in a QHHT® session. It’s spiritual. It’s sacred. It’s miraculous!

You can find a lot more information about the SuperConscious, or Higher Self, through other resources. I’d encourage anyone reading this book to go research Dolores Cannon. As of this writing, there are 360,000 subscribers to her YouTube channel. Her video on life after death has over 1.8 million views. If you’ve never heard of her, I’d strongly encourage you to engage with her material. She presents such a matter-of-fact and not-preachy perspective on metaphysical knowledge. I’d also encourage you to read my first book in this trilogy Finding Purpose: Surprising Wisdom from the Higher Self. I go into much more detail about how I got into QHHT® (it was a surprise to me), more about Dolores Cannon, and more about the Higher Self. For this book, though, let’s get to the healing!

My sincere hope is that you can transmute any trauma energy (and we all have trauma energy) that you are still holding onto through working with this book. I am hoping that sharing what I’ve found from the Higher Self will inspire healing in the world, one person at a time. Having witnessed this wisdom, it seems a shame not to share it. The Higher Self wants you to heal. They do not want you to hold on to your trauma. They see things from a much higher perspective, an eternal perspective. They see trauma very differently than we do!

So often Their answer to emotional healing from trauma is forgiveness. It seems that They can do a lot toward transmuting trauma energy in a QHHT® session. But, in your human life, you also have a responsibility to continue to heal yourself. You are incarnated for experiences and it is your responsibility to know you through these experiences. You processing forgiveness is you doing your part for your soul growth. It is one way for you to know yourself, better. And that’s the whole point of you being incarnated. For you to know you.

I will be sharing this higher perspective through the 4-step process that I’ve been given by Them on processing forgiveness. The four steps are SEE, ACCEPT, RELEASE, MOVE. SEE the experience from all perspectives. This requires a lot of introspection. Next, ACCEPT the experience as necessary and important. This requires a perspective outside of your beliefs and assumptions. Then, RELEASE the trauma energy of the experience. The past is just our imagination of the past, it isn’t real. Hanging on to it is like hanging on to a ghost. Last, MOVE forward. Often you circle back to the hurt because it’s familiar; you don’t know what to do next. Moving forward is an important part of healing.

This seems to be a sacred path that the Higher Self repeatedly encourages - to use forgiveness to transmute trauma energy. Now, not everyone needs to process forgiveness. Trauma can be caused by all kinds of experiences. I’ll be sharing many examples of these disparate experiences throughout the book through session stories. Sometimes all it takes is the Higher Self transmuting the energy during the QHHT® session. But for most of us, we are incarnated for soul growth. And that means we will have challenging experiences. Knowing how to continually process forgiveness can be a very important skill to gracefully grow in this tough world.

He that cannot forgive others, breaks the bridge over which he himself must pass if he would ever reach heaven; for everyone has need to be forgiven.

    George Herbert

I’m sure you already have a difficult experience in mind. One that you’d like to heal for yourself. That’s great! This book may be most beneficial if you have a specific situation in mind. Practice. Put this sacred wisdom to use from the get-go. See how it works for you. This is practical and applicable advice, directly from Them. See which step is most challenging. Which gives you the most opportunity for healing? For growth?

The book is organized in parts, one for each step of the process. I encourage you not to skip ahead. Understanding each step in its sequence is important. However, I do encourage you to revisit prior steps and revisit the whole book as new tests come about that need forgiveness. There are many session stories included to present real-world examples. Again, I’ve disguised my clients’ information for anonymity. Names, pronouns, and details have been changed to preserve privacy. And I’ve included some quotes by masters and teachers that have helped me on my path. I hope these words inspire you, too.

In short, I’m hoping that this is a reference book for your life.

    Hurt

BEFORE WE START a deep dive into the 4-step process of forgiveness, let’s spend a little time better understanding pain, hurt, suffering and trauma. If you’ve picked up this book, you might be working through some very challenging experiences. And you might be unaware of some of the not-so-challenging experiences that may still reside in your body as trauma energy. By better understanding trauma, you might be able to help yourself and others.

Again, you are reading this as a human. Integral to the human condition is hurt and pain. I’ll get to why this is a little later in the book. Humans hurt each other. We are an extremely violent species. It might not seem so, but our current times are some of the most peaceful ever experienced by humans. Imagine being a woman living in a thatch hut in the year 1347. Resources are extremely scarce. You work at the behest of the ‘lord’ of the land. Your husband dictates your every move. You have no control over your reproduction. Which is highly likely to result in death, your baby’s or your own. Now, compare this type of existence to most people’s experience on earth today. There are still some places on earth like that woman. But, for most of us, we have an abundance of food and clean water. We have some control over whom we live and partner with. We have some control over our reproduction and we have modern medicine if something goes wrong. We don’t have to fight for every scrap and breath. But that fight for survival, with or against other humans, is still in our instincts and our nervous system. Now, we have new ways to hurt others and hurt ourselves. Hurt and pain are still a part of our psyche, even if they are a less visible part of our daily lives.

Before you incarnated as a human, back when you were experiencing perfect peace without form, you knew about places like this. The three-dimensional earth is a very dense dimension. Your soul was ready for accelerated growth. Your soul thought that it was ready for an extreme experience. Earth is a place where duality can be experienced. Some of the lowest lows can be experienced here. Some of the most difficult adventures in the universe can be experienced right here. Your soul looked at the potential to incarnate here as an opportunity. No one forced you to incarnate to this rough place. You chose to incarnate. Here. Now. And for a soul-level purpose. You chose a dense, violent, dualistic, and challenging place to experience for the sake of transformative soul growth.

Duality can be a very important soul lesson. It’s like a fish can’t know water unless it’s known not-water. If love and light and peace are ubiquitous, it can be a challenge to know them. You can better understand love once you’ve experienced hate. You can better know light if you know dark. You gain an immense appreciation for peace when you know violence. The experience of duality can be a huge soul growth opportunity. Duality means knowing the opposite and extreme of all possible experiences. And that’s important
