About this ebook

Dragons don't just throw parties, they throw balls, but Jordan is from the Kellen family, and they're more likely to crash a ball than be invited to one. So when Jordan's partner Zachary suggests they attend the latest fancy to-do and cause a stir, Jordan is definitely on board. The dragon elite live cushy, privileged lives that Jordan never had a chance to see when he was a young alpha. And maybe the ruckass they cause will stir up some interesting omegas.

Zach Knight doesn't just want to start some rumors at the latest social party, he wants to bring the whole house down. His family has run Ether City for generations, but Zach has something to say about how Omegas are treated and where better to make a statement than in front of a few hundred of his closest enemies? With Jordan at his side, Zach has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Aiden Hunt wasn't supposed to be at this ball, let alone leashed, collared, and naked for the CEO of the bank where it's being held. He's drowning in heat and with hormones racing, his body is nearly out of his control. Walking through a crowd of alphas is his worst nightmare come true. He needs someone to save him, and fast, but he doesn't know who he can turn to.

Jordan and Zach are happily bonded to each other, two alpha males with more bite than bark. They didn't come to the party to rescue an omega, but when he's dragged onto the dance floor, he seems to be just the disturbance the alphas were looking for. Aiden won't be muzzled by just anyone, but Jordan and Zach are confident they've found the perfect omega to share.

    Chapter One

Jordan checked the fall of his suit and straightened his cufflinks. As much as he bitched about these gatherings, he had to be presentable or there was no point in attending. Looking unkempt was probably worse than skipping the party entirely, and if a dragon wanted to stay relevant in this world, skipping the party was not an option. As Zachary stepped out of the modest limo after him, Jordan gave the back of his suit coat a tug to pull a crease out. There, that should do it.

Their suits had been tailored and pressed for the night, cut to follow the taper of their waists. Jordan adorned his right hand with his clan ring, while Zach wore his symbol in his left ear. They had tousled each other's hair and stepped up the wide entrance to the bank with near-identical crafty smiles. Such was the minimum bar any dragon had to reach just to enter the building.

A doorman bowed for them as they passed. Jordan took the lead through the bank's ground floor lobby. At his late hour there were no tellers at their gilded stations, only overhead lights to remind all viewers of the owner's wealth. Surely only a dragon of the highest standing could afford to trim his bank in rare and dense iridium. The entire lobby shined silver with it.

Jordan nodded at an alpha woman waiting at the elevator. Her curls had been piled up artfully on top of her head and the glittering gown that flowed over her shoulder exposed her dark skin. The edge of a tattoo peeked out against her back. She tipped her head toward Jordan and Zach both, and when the elevator dinged, she entered first.

When they entered the elevator, the silence was pervasive. As they exited, near the top of the thirty story building, music and conversation filled the space. The doors dinged open to a short atrium, which boasted a gilded arch in the center. Beyond stretched the ballroom. It glittered.

If there was one thing dragons knew how to do, it was throw a lavish party. And of all the powerful dragons, Nathaniel Burke, owner of Burke's Bank and Trust, threw the most lavish of all. Dragons across the city came to rub elbows with the banking elite; dragons who had amassed the most valuable hordes had always been admired. There were hundreds of them here now, dressed to the nines and negotiating business deals while they negotiated the dance floor.

Jordan offered Zach his arm with a wide grin. The two of them had grown up surrounded by this lavish display culture. Dragons loved to look down on anyone who couldn't keep up with appearances, and while the men wore appropriately tailored suits, they had no additional adornments. No broaches, circlets, necklaces, extra rings; no gilding or even subtle gold-encrusted makeup. Nothing marked them as wealthy elite except their signate ring and earring.

Are you ready to make a disturbance? Jordan asked.

Always, Zach agreed. He placed his hand lightly on Jordan's arm, the position of a dragon being escorted. Generally the omega in a couple would take this place, but there was no omega between Zach and Jordan, and it delighted them to enter the ballroom as two alphas hand in hand. It's so easy to scandalize them.

They were announced at the arch. A beta dragon with a guest list on a tablet checked
