Harold the Hippo and Drucilla Duck at Poundly Pond - David Underhill
Introduction
This is the beginning of some stories of friendship between the characters who lived around a beautiful village called Poundly Pond where some of the grass had been eaten and some was quite long and lush.
They even include a number of events that took place between some of those who lived in a couple of nearby villages; some just came to visit and play games whilst some even played in the pond.
I hope you enjoy these friendly stories and even personalise them with your own colours to make them look how you want them to.

So that they did not have to carry too much they arranged to hire the tents from a shop in a town close to where they were going, they would also hire all the other equipment they would need like a stove, plates, cups, knives & forks and a special light that ran on paraffin called a tilley lamp.
The friends all went shopping during the last week to buy the things they thought that they would need. They each bought a rucksack, a sleeping bag, some warm clothes, waterproofs and warm waterproof boots. When they arrived home they had a fashion parade. How they all laughed at each other as they paraded in their bright yellow or orange waterproof suits and their walking boots.
