About this ebook

Love Finds A Way

James Tidwell was looking at a house that everyone feared because of the former owners. It sat empty for ten years. Abigale Perry, the town refused to do business with, was forced to find her clients from out-of-town James had several showings of the house before he made an offer.

James hired Abby as his private assistant to deal with the bank, they happily sold it to him, but none of the financial institutions or businesses wanted to do business with because he was guilty by association to the home. He and Abby became friends during the sales process.

The banks accepted his money, only because of the amount of cash he would deposit, plus his business account, and investments.

Slowly, they began spending time together, going to other cities for entertainment and she kept her car in a bay of his three-car garage, just to keep the townspeople from spreading gossip, at least until they were ready.

Their friendship turned into much more, until they had shared their secrets, then he asked her to marry him…

The house, a single-story, brick structure with four bedrooms, two baths, and a three-car garage sat on five acres. I remained amazed at how the entire layout fit my needs. This was my fourth tour of the property. Normally, a person would get one or if fortunate two showings of the house, but the reality company was desperate to unload the property, and I was showing a great deal of interest. We walked around the house and stopped at the front door.

I like everything about the house, especially the way it sits back from the road and the large private area in the back. I commented looking towards the road.

As we walked around the house. I scanned the bedrooms through the windows. Empty, without furniture, the rooms appeared larger. We continued to the back of the building, past a sliding door that opened into an enclosed ground level patio and the basement.

As we climbed the steps to a deck, past the patio, I considered how easy it would be to convert this lower level into an entertainment center or classroom with very little work.

Were the previous owners’ nudists or something? I asked with a chuckle, as I studied the back yard. I’m curious about the tall bushes and nine-foot fence adding privacy to the property.

She stammered, They fenced it off to keep the deer and keep neighbors from harvesting crops from their extensive garden. They also feared hunters coming on the land. They had a few animals they would butcher and didn’t want an inexperienced hunter killing livestock or putting their children in danger."

We entered the kitchen through the French doors. She continued her sales pitch, as I explained, Mr. Tidwell, the kitchen is very airy, with hangers for professional pots and pans, yet low enough to be in easy reach. The twelve-burner stove and triple ovens make it easier to cook and entertain and have an entire meal be ready at the same time.

I admired her ability to remember the little details of the large kitchen, as well as the rest of the house.

The kitchen bar is large enough for ten people, or to place bowls for serving a large group. Of course, the dining area comfortably fits a table of twenty, and the inset kitchenette will accommodate six.

I only half listened as I visualized the layout and decided there wouldn’t be any changes required to this room. Standing by the doors, she finished her pitch, describing the convenience of the spa and taking food out to tables on the patio just off the kitchen French doors.

And of course, there are three acres of land out back, two in the front and the house is centered in the middle. There’s plenty of room for outdoor games, a garden or to create a park when you just want fresh air with peace and quiet.

We exited the kitchen / dining room and entered the living room with its plush forest green carpet. Empty, the room appeared massive. I envisioned the walls lined floor to ceiling with bookcases filled with a variety of books, including novels, oversized hard covered and paperback books, as well as trinkets and collectibles I discovered over the years. It would make an excellent area for entertaining later in the evening when conversation was the order of the day.

We crossed the entryway into the family room, which meant in my way of thinking another word for a larger living room. I pictured this space as a study or reading room, with a few book cases, small couch, chairs, table, and floor lamps. This would be the perfect place for me to prop up my feet and enjoy a good book or magazine.

The living and family rooms had two archways to enter and exit. We stepped into the hall and found ourselves at the end of a hall connecting the hall to the kitchen. It was well lit, thanks to various shaped mirrors attached to the back and
