    Prologue:

    The world of technology is advancing at a breakneck pace, and the idea of artificial intelligence (AI) implants is no longer science fiction. These devices, surgically implanted into the human body, have the potential to augment cognitive and physical abilities, changing the way we live and work. It’s time to face the reality that AI implants are not a matter of if, but when.

    In the year 2040, the world has changed significantly. Advances in technology have led to the development of a neural link, a small device implanted in the brain that allows people to access the internet and communicate with others telepathically. However, this technology has also been adapted for use in criminal investigations. The neural link records everything the wearer sees, providing a new form of evidence for law enforcement to use in solving crimes.

    The emergent conundrum of augmented connectivity and the conflict between regulated and open-source platform decentralized from accountability was created. This was born out in the early 21st century with the move to crypto currencies as part of the next evolution of human independent of oversight. This resulted in the UN ACT – (FCOC) FIAT Currency Oversight Committee.

    The FIAT Currency Oversight Committee (FCOC) is a regulatory body that monitors and evaluates the impact of cryptocurrencies on the global financial system. The FCOC aims to ensure the stability and security of fiat currencies, as well as to protect consumers and investors from fraud and abuse in the crypto market. The FCOC works with other international organizations, such as the IMF, the World Bank, and the G20, to coordinate policies and standards for cryptocurrency regulation. The FCOC also conducts research and analysis on the benefits and risks of cryptocurrencies, and provides guidance and recommendations to governments and central banks on how to best integrate them into their monetary and fiscal frameworks.

    The digi-virtual currency used cryptography for security, it operated independently of a central bank. However, the issues with cryptocurrencies lacked regulation, which led to issues such as money laundering and fraud. In addition, the volatility of the prices of cryptocurrencies made it a risky investment. Therefore government regulations were put in place to address these issues, and more businesses and merchants started accepting cryptocurrencies as a form of payment.

    Additionally, the development of stablecoins, cryptocurrencies pegged to the value of a fiat currency, reduced volatility and increased trust in the system. Yet little did the agency realise that the underlying technology was a pre-cursor to augmented connectivity and the line blurring from thought and body.

    As the regulations took hold, the crypto markets began to stabilize and mature. Bad actors were driven out, and legitimate companies were able to flourish. Consumers could now invest in crypto with confidence, knowing that there were safeguards in place to protect them from fraud and abuse.

    Of course, there were still challenges to be faced, and the regulatory framework would need to evolve as the technology and markets continued to change. But for the first time, there was a sense that crypto had a bright future ahead, one that was built on trust and innovation, rather than deception and greed. In this world, advanced technology has blurred the lines between humanity and artificial intelligence.

This however was overshadowed by the euphoria of large tech and pioneers in the race to be the first to win the next phase of human AI interface by competing ideologically opposed governments.

While it has the potential to improve our lives, it also brings with it a host of ethical and moral concerns. The dangers of a neural link, a device that allows us to access the internet and communicate telepathically, are just a few of the many issues we must consider as we move forward into an increasingly technological future.
