"Use your words." He commanded, running his tongue over her swollen bottom lip. He tasted- exquisite.

The Alphas' Angel - Pippa Moon

CHAPTER 42 No One Feared Him

     Damien's POV

The cavalry's here, Ares chuckled discreetly to me; turning in the direction I had just come from, I quietly observed the scene before me. The washed-up alpha and his pack stood handing out aid to the town folk while boy wonder headed towards the source of everyone's anguish.

Let's see how Mr High 'N' Mighty fares against hellfire, shall we! I retorted with a chuckle; staying in the shadows, I followed the turd to the church grounds. The horror that spread across his face as he looked up at the ominous flames was hysterical!

Call yourself an Alpha, yet you quiver and shake at the sight of a tiny fire! I laughed to myself, watching him curiously.

How is this dude even a consideration for our angel? He couldn't punch his way out of a paper bag, let alone protect her, Ares huffed, watching the pipsqueak through my eyes cautiously. A low growl rumbled through my chest, seeing the pack's useless alpha come and stand beside his son. I could feel Ares's desperation to challenge him; I just didn't understand why! He had always been caged so tightly in my mind that he would never have seen this baboon before, so where was all this hatred coming from?

Chill out, for fuck sake! If you get me in a pissing match and I miss breakfast with Red, I will have that witch do more than lock you back up in your cage- Capish. I snarled viciously. His low warning growl told me he wasn't happy with my threat, but I didn't give two shits! He would obey!

Observing Maxwell with my eyes, I watched him stare into the flames; he was obviously a million miles away. It didn't take a genius to work out where his head was at, I wasn't around when my Father joined forces with the crescent moon pack, but I have heard the tales of my Father's battle- and his revenge- by hellfire! So, I do not doubt that Maxwell is currently feeling an overwhelming sense of deja-vu! Hellfire was not something one quickly forgets!

Narrowing my eyes on the little party that had gathered to watch the church burn, I smirked, seeing my Father in the distance; he was up to something of that, I had no doubt. As if sensing my Father's presence, I watched with intrigue as the Alphas Beta froze, balling his fists at his side.

It only took a second for Maxwell to lose his cool and composure seeing my Father. How predictable; an Alpha who cannot control his temper! The arrogant fool stood chest puffed out, shoulder squared off, facing off against my Father! I could see the town folks staring at him, confused, hearing their tuts and disgusted chatter. Most wondered why the alpha was being so disrespectful on a day filled with so much pain and suffering; others were just curious about his beef with my Father- the town's biggest sponsor.

Slowly I made my way over to the little circus that had formed, just in time to hear my Father threaten the pup, if he didn't back off from Red. It tickled me that my Father was showing even an ounce of interest in my personal life, my needs or wants. He was efficient; things like desire and lust were below him! I knew he usually would have looked down on me for my feelings towards Red; he would have told me she made me weak. But I disagree; she makes me strong!

It wouldn't be the first time he had been wrong about people making you weak, Ares grumbled sulkily, making me smirk. The turd, sensing the tension between our fathers like me, was making his way over, both of us arriving just in time to hear my Father's taunts about his mother. My lips curled up into a triumphant smile seeing Maxwell take the bait. We all knew of his alliance with this town; no shifting! The towns folk needed to feel safe.

What a disaster it would be if THE ALPHA broke that agreement! On a day like today- it would be unforgivable! Ares chuckled, obviously approving of my Father's tactics. What I wasn't expecting, though, was for his son the weasel shit to step between them! To throw himself in between a reckless Alpha who was midshaft- that was ballsy- He literally had put himself in the hands of fate to stop the situation from spiralling.

Isn't that what his Beta is for? Ares laughed, looking at the enormous male staring at the shit show, open-mouthed.

Maybe he isn't such a pussy after all, I acknowledged coming to stand beside my Father; my green eyes settled on the back of Jason's head, smirking at Ares, who was mumbling something in the back of my head about how many blows it would take to cave that thick skull of his in.

Now, now Alpha, perhaps you should listen to your son and step away from my Father; it would be a shame to start something you can't finish… again! I warned Maxwell, standing casually beside my Father, looking at the circle of testosterone and bulging muscles.

I am sure you remember how the last dick measuring competition between the two of you went down. Be a shame if someone else ended up paying for your stupidity! I added with a look of faux sympathy, looking between the pathetic excuses for Alpha males and pack leaders.

Son, I thought you were leaving. My Father asked dryly, his eyes never leaving Maxwell, who was trying to get a hold of his wolf.

I was, and then I saw the cockroaches come out of the woodwork and thought I'd see if they really are averse to fire, I smirked, wiping a piece of ash from my jeans. Perhaps we should throw one on the BBQ and see! The snarl that flew from Jason's lips had me cocking a brow in amusement.

Down, boy! I laughed at Jason, although my eyes bore into Maxwell confidently.

Sounds like that one is rabid- be better to put him out of his misery, mate. I laughed, shrugging my shoulders. If you haven't got the heart to do it, I am happy to do it for you- One quick shot, right... Leaning forward, grinning, the pup's utter detest for me evident in his face, I pressed a finger from my sooty hand between Jason's temples with a smirk, There! He wouldn't feel a thing! Maxwell and Marcus' venomous growls rumbled in sync, making my Father and I exchange a look of mock horror.

Sounds like the whole pack is rabid! Maybe they should all be 'taken care of', I laughed, shrugging my shoulders. I patted Maxwell on the back boldly, Ares' contempt for the man rippling off me! Grinning seeing him tense up under my touch. Ares' hatred hanging in the air was almost tangible.

Great catching up guys, really- it's been a blast, but I have a gorgeous Redhead waiting for me! It was late at night, and I promised to make her breakfast in bed! Re-fuel her after a LONG night... If you catch my drift. Wiggling my brows, I turned to leave but paused hearing Jason hearing Jason's attempt at a warning growl, wanting to make it abundantly clear that I would NOT be putting up with his shit where Red was concerned. She. Was. Mine.

Settle down, wolfie; if you thought you were tough enough to take me on, you wouldn't have run away like a scared little girl last night! I chuckled, my eyes locked on the furious dark orbs of his wolf,

Damien. My Father's stern voice warned although he and I both knew he was only doing it to seem like he was being respectful in case others overheard. I thought you had something to do today?

And someone to do! I smirked mischievously, nodding 'respectfully' to the Alpha and his circus of monkeys before stopping beside Jason and whispering in his ear.

If you thought she looked good on her knees in your dreams! Pulling back just enough to look at him, I allowed realisation to dawn on him before I lowered my voice and continued. You'd shoot your load before she even touched you, seeing her in the flesh, kiddo

Anyway, guys, I hope you enjoy the BBQ; it smells… divine! I taunted with a playful wink. I guess as it's summer we can expect more BBQ's. I laughed maliciously, walking away to get my girls breakfast, knowing I had just ruffled some feathers and gave zero fucks! I knew my Father could handle himself, and it was about time the had-been Alpha realised no one feared him, his son or his pack!

    CHAPTER 43 An Act!

    Jason's POV

Jay, I need you to keep your composure! This imbecile is trying to finish what his damn Father started and get a rise out of the pack! They are looking for provocation- If you react, they will have just that. Marcus' voice resounded through my head firmly.

I knew he was right; the logical thing to do would be to ignore the slurs, but this touched fool was getting on my last nerve. Talking about Abigail like she was no more than a common whore. How he dragged her name through mud proved too much for Archer, his temper running rampant through me; his brutal growl vibrated from my chest, shocking even me.

Archer, Marcus is right! Don't give in to these psychopath's taunts. I soothed, linking my wolf. I decided to open the link up to my Father and Marcus in case I couldn't control my wolf; I would have the backup I may need. Although given how my Father had lost his cool two minutes ago and almost faced off against this brutes Father, I was a little sceptical at his ability to remain level-headed under pressure.

We could take them! Archer furiously snapped his teeth at me, foaming at the mouth with rebellious rage; sighing inwardly, my eyes met my Father's; his eyes had returned to normal; his wolf had retreated, acknowledging my Father's authority! Marcus seemed as stoic as ever. If these two males could get their shit together, given what they had suffered and lost at the hands of these 'people', and I used that word lightly, then I didn't see why Archer couldn't get his temper under control.

Physically, yeah, but who knows what else these fuckers would bring to a fight! The town is already lit up with hellfire- you really wanna see what other tricks they have up their sleeves! Because I don't, and these town folk have endured enough today! So I need you to park your crap and fall in line! Like we all have had too! I growled, my tone laced with authority, although even I could sense the edge of compassion that hung in the air for Archer. I hoped this would help his sulking episode that I had no doubt would follow as soon as we got back to the pack house.

Is this fucker completely off his rocker? My Father's group linked, laughing. We quickly deduced that he was insanely unhinged.

His behaviour is probably why Blackwood kept him hidden for so many years! My Father barked through our link! He is ashamed of him!

Wouldnt you be? Marcus added with a dark chuckle. Their eyes never wavering from the deranged face of Damien Blackwood. My eyes, however, were locked on his Father, observing him tactically. Marcus was right; his left eye twitched whenever his son spat another bold remark—making me smirk as our eyes met.

I'd have drowned him at birth. A simpleton with demonic powers equals a bloody disaster! We all know how much Blackwood's image means to him! Having an unbalanced, uncontrollable son probably isn't what he banked on. My Father snickered nastily.

I think it's an act! I suggested my eyes on Blackwood; for a man we all knew to show no emotion, he was sure giving away the disgust he evidently felt at his son's outburst. The pair of them have always been cool, collected and patient! Something is off!

You don't know them like we do, son. This is Damien's true colours! He is a moronic half-wit. My Father cut me off, dismissing my observation.

Anyway, guys, I hope you enjoy the BBQ; it smells… divine! I guess as it's summer, we can expect more BBQs. Damiens's hushed voice rang between us, causing the chatter in our link to mute quickly.

Was that a threat? I heard Archer growl; I was still processing his parting words to me. There was only one person who knew about my dream- Abigail! So the fact he was privy to the conversation meant one of two things! She had told him! Or he was in my head! I don't know which one of those scenarios I feared most!

It's not worth the risk. My Father interjected firmly, his eyes slowly switching to show the ferociousness of his wolf as he turned to eye Blackwood, feeling his protective aura spread to me.

I hope your son's arrogant mouth hasn't just written a check that YOU can't cash! My Father announced, putting his hand on my shoulder and leading us away in the opposite direction Damien had gone. Turning to check Marcus was behind us, I frowned, seeing him planted firmly between the demonic lord who had taken his mate years ago and us.

What happened to my mate? I heard him say before my Father's golden eyes narrowed on me. Get Tommy and the rest of the pack back to the packhouse! Marcus and I will meet you there soon. Looking between Marcus and Blackwood, I shook my head; like fuck was I leaving now Marcus had made a move on Blackwood!

The pack is stronger together I linked my Father, who shook his head as if he had the weight of the world on his broad shoulders.

If Damiens's threat is to be taken seriously, my pack, my family, YOUR family will need protection! They will need YOU! Now Go! Nodding somberly, knowing if Marcus got an answer he didn't like, there would be no words to calm his beast and zero chance of stopping him from attacking! Which meant all hell would break loose! My Father was right. The pack's survival came first!

My Father had apparently linked Tommy and the remaining pack members as they surrounded us; Tommy stood at my side, his yellow hues locked on his Father! I knew he wanted to step in and support him! Get justice for his mother and siblings, but my Father was right. The pack needed him! And so did I!

Seeing his eyes gradually ebb back to his bluey-grey hues, I knew he was ready to follow orders and had managed to control his wolf. He would have to give me some tips because I could feel Archer tearing at the walls of my mind, desperate to break out and destroy- Everything!

It didn't take long for us to get back to pack territory; linking ahead, I had everyone ready for a debriefing, as I had places I needed to be, and soon! Tommy addressed everyone quickly, filling them in on what we had found out, although he missed out the part about the hellfire and the Blackwoods hanging around like a bad smell, most likely for my mother's sake, something I appreciated. I would let my Father explain that cluster fuck of a mess to her!

I needed to speak to Abbi! I needed answers! Breaking away from the gathering, I made my way to the car, deciding that right now was not the
