Runaway Boy to French Assassin 1 - Triple F
PROLOGUE
Guillaume Moreau is very unhappy with his life. He is 12 years old and it is 1989. He lives with his parents Francois & Géraldine and he hates both of them. Guillaume also has a younger brother called Didier who is 7 years old and he hates him too! His parents come from the Republic of Mauritius which is a French-speaking country but, Guillaume was born in London in the Crouch End area. His parents’ homeland became a Dutch colony, then a French colony and finally a British colony. When it was a British colony there were two official languages first English and second French. Even though English was the first official language French was spoken all of the time. However, after a revolt Mauritius became independent of the UK and made French the first official language and English the second official language. After Independence Mauritius became a Republic immediately and elected their first President in 1968 by the name of Pierre Lacroix. They all wanted to keep the French language as the first official one due to all of the inhabitants being Francophone descendants. There are French, Créoles i.e. French-Africans and French Indo-Chinese. Guillaume’s main heritage is French (90%) the rest are Créoles but, he does have other European heritage such as German & Italian.
Guillaume is also unhappy with his school-life; he attends a secondary school called Timothy Morley. It is a very corrupt & trashy school with a very bad reputation in the whole of Bedford, UK. His parents sent him to Timothy Morley as they didn’t want him to get an education or a career. There is virtually nothing to do at all in Timothy Morley School. They even fabricate pupil’s grades and pass some of them and fail some of them deliberately. Guillaume is desperate to get out of that awful school but, his parents don’t want to move him. He has no friends there but, he doesn’t care he hates everyone there! His teachers lie to his parents telling them that he doesn’t do any work but, he never gets any given. Guillaume just ignores everyone at the school both pupils & teachers; he even ignores his own parents.
Guillaume’s mother, Géraldine calls him but, he ignores her. Guillaume! Where are you?
Géraldine shouts. His father goes to search for him around the house and he finds Guillaume in his bedroom. Hey! Your mother is calling you,
said Francois. Guillaume didn’t say anything and just went downstairs. When his mother saw him she just stood there and looked at him. Where’s your Karate suit?
asks Géraldine; Guillaume didn’t say anything and went to look for his Karate suit. Guillaume, Géraldine & his brother all do a Tibetan Martial Art and Guillaume has reached the level of blue-belt grade. He has been doing this for 2 years now and he is good at it. When Guillaume found his Karate suit he handed it to his mother and she went to put it into the washing machine. What is wrong with you? Why are you not talking to me?
asks Géraldine angrily. Guillaume didn’t reply and made his way back to the bedroom – it was his only place of sanctuary. It has always made him feel free!
A few hours later as Guillaume was sitting in his bedroom alone he then had a thought that came into his mind. His thought was: Why don’t I run away from home. That way I’ll be free!
He then thought The only big problem is that I’ll be on my own with no-one to turn to!
After a long careful thought he then decided No! I have to do it! If I stay here I’m going to get nowhere in life!
So what Guillaume did was to go to his parent’s bedroom and take some of his clothes from there to his bedroom. Luckily his parents & brother were all downstairs in the living-room so they didn’t suspect Guillaume’s plans to runaway. Over the next couple of days Guillaume would transfer his clothes to his school locker; he was going to runaway when the time is right and it will be when school finishes for the day. At his house Guillaume was able to find a big rucksack to put all of his clothes in – it was going to all fit in easily. Guillaume Moreau is going to put his plans into action! There was no turning back!
Chapter 1:
Time to go
It was morning and it was time for school. Guillaume gets up in a very sluggish way; he just didn’t want to go to school. Anyway, when Guillaume was ready he went on his way to school; little did anyone know that Guillaume was putting extra clothes into his bag to put into his school-locker.
When Guillaume arrived at Timothy Morley School he went immediately to his locker and put the extra clothes in there. One of the pupils in his class had noticed that Guillaume was putting a lot of clothes into his locker. Hey Guillaume! What’s with all of these clothes?
asked the pupil; Guillaume just ignored her and didn’t answer. The girl then went to tell some of her friends about what she saw; the other pupils were gossiping about this as well and his class-teacher Michael Wolmer overheard about this. He was baffled at what Guillaume is up to. Guillaume just went about his day.
Later on in the afternoon Guillaume went to another class with a teacher called Ruth O’Connor – like the other teachers he detested her too! There was a piece of homework that was set by Miss O’Connor earlier but, Guillaume hadn’t done it! He was using his spare time to plan to runaway for when the time is right. So has everyone done the homework I set you all earlier?
asks Ruth; everyone except Guillaume submitted their homework and Ruth had noticed that. She was none too pleased about it. Guillaume why have you not done your homework?
asked Ruth angrily...Guillaume didn’t answer! Guillaume, I’ve asked you a question! Why haven’t you done your homework?
asked Ruth again....Guillaume still refused to answer her! Right Guillaume I’m getting fed up with this! I don’t know what is going on with you! I’m going to call your parents over this!
said Ruth angrily as she went outside of the classroom to her small office to telephone Guillaume’s parents. As Ruth O’Connor went to her office a boy by the name of Padraig Fitzsimmons insulted Guillaume. Guillaume you can be such an idiot!
said Padraig; Guillaume then turns around and does a karate-chop on the back of Padraig’s neck....it surprised Padraig big time! Everyone in the classroom gasped with horror! To make things worse Guillaume then grabs Padraig’s hair and then continuously bangs his face against the school-desk. Guillaume bangs Padraig’s face so many times that he eventually breaks Padraig’s nose! Padraig’s nose bleeds profusely. Hey Guillaume! What are you doing?
asks another boy in his class; Guillaume then turns to the boy and gives him scary looks! The boy then stands back a little but, it was too late! Guillaume then flies at the boy and does a karate-kick on him knocking him down. Next, Guillaume then uses one of his other karate moves a spinning-kick to knock him out. The pupils all scream and stood back; they are all scared of Guillaume. Guillaume then looks at everyone with scary looks; he decides enough is enough and walks out of the classroom! Guillaume realizes it is time to runaway he had to do this it was now or never!
When Ruth O’Connor returned to the classroom she sees all of the pupils there terrified. What has happened here and where is Guillaume?
asked Ruth, He’s walked out of the classroom miss,
replied one of the pupils. Ruth immediately left to look for Guillaume unaware he is planning to runaway! Guillaume was at his locker gathering all of his belongings getting ready to runaway he couldn’t wait to go! All of a sudden Ruth O’Connor arrived and called out to Guillaume. Guillaume, what are you doing? Where are you going?
asks Ruth; Guillaume just ignored her. Ruth then approaches Guillaume and without any hesitation Guillaume again decides to use his Martial Arts training; he does a karate-kick on Ruth to knock her down. Ruth was in shock over this but, Guillaume wasn’t finished yet; he then does a spinning-kick and knocks out Ruth O’Connor! His form-teacher Michael Wolmer was in another class-room teaching when he heard the commotion so he went outside to see what was going on. When Michael got to the corridor he sees Guillaume putting clothes into his rucksack and also sees Ruth O’Connor knocked out on the floor. Guillaume, what are you doing?
asks Michael angrily; Guillaume then pauses and glares at Michael with a stern look on his face and says nothing! Then at Michael Wolmer Guillaume launches a flying karate-kick; Michael is knocked down to the floor. Then like with Ruth O’Connor, Guillaume does a spinning-kick on Michael’s face and knocks him out! Another teacher then arrives in the school-corridor and sees all of the commotion. Guillaume then thinks To hell with it I’ll beat him up too!
and so performs karate moves on the teacher and knocks him out cold. When the coast was clear Guillaume gathered all of his belongings and walked straight out of Timothy Morley School – he was now free!
Meanwhile back at Timothy Morley School all of the teachers came through – they were all in some pain considering all the Martial Arts Guillaume did on them. Where’s Guillaume?
asks Michael, I have no idea, I think he’s runaway,
said Ruth, We need to call the Police & his parents,
suggested Michael, Where does he get all of that strength?
asks the other teacher, I think he does Martial Arts...I don’t know much about him, he never talks to anyone!
replied Michael. The teachers then called both the Police and Guillaume’s parents to explain what had occurred. Guillaume’s parents were getting frantic over the events and that he has runaway.
Guillaume was walking along a road with his belongings on him. The road is a carriageway which leads from Bedfordshire to the county of Northamptonshire. He didn’t know where he was going but, he didn’t care! Guillaume was just glad to get away from everything especially his old school & parents! It was a little later on that Guillaume approaches a small town called Little Houghton; he sees no-one there it looked empty! That was perfect for him so he goes on looking for somewhere to stay for a little while. Guillaume kept on walking around and sees a small clearing which looked like a type of forest so he decides that would be a perfect hiding-place. He goes deep into the forest and sees a comfortable spot to stay for the night – he wanted to rest and gather his thoughts on what he should do next!
The Police were interviewing the teachers of Timothy Morley School about the events of that day. The teachers gave as much detail as they could; the Police also interview Guillaume Moreau’s parents so they could try to get as much clues as they can. The Moreau’s couldn’t give much detail but, did give what they could. There were also Police-Officers out on the town looking for Guillaume. They were at a dead-end they didn’t know where to look. The Police also decided to report it to the media and get it out on the news; it was the only way they could try to find him. Later on that day the media reported on Guillaume Moreau’s disappearance and showed his photo. The national newspapers had all agreed to put his photo in the paper to help members of the public remember his face if they see him.
Chapter 2:
Onward to Scotland
It was 5 am in the morning when Guillaume woke up...an idea flashed into his head! He had the thought of going to Scotland as it is away from everything. Scotland also had a lot of wide-open spaces and remote areas. To Guillaume it was the best solution! Luckily Guillaume had a lot of money on him...he saved all of his pocket-money he received from his parents every week. He hadn’t spent any of his pocket-money in almost 2-years...he was too depressed to spend any of it! So Guillaume got up, collected his belongings and went to the nearest train station.
Meanwhile all over the media both the TV and newspapers, Guillaume’s disappearance had been reported. In Timothy Morley School there have been big discussions about the incident the day before; some of the teachers were in shock at the whole event. I don’t know what is wrong with Guillaume? Why did he do this?
asked Ruth O’Connor. The rest of the teachers remain silent & baffled at the same time...they were all wondering ‘What is going on?’
From Northampton Guillaume had to take a train from there to London as the only way to get to Scotland was from London. Guillaume was able to find a train from London to Scotland and so boarded it. He had to keep his head low as he realized that his disappearance had been reported all over the media...he did not wanted to be captured...he doesn’t want to go back home to his parents & Timothy Morley School. It was about over an hour on the train Guillaume was sitting down looking out of the window at the beautiful scenery; he then notices a man reading a newspaper and on the front-page
