      PREFACE

      According to the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the median patient age at the time of a cancer diagnosis is 66 (Age and cancer. Cancer Research UK, 2021). 60% of cancer patients are 65 or older. I wonder why cancer is age related. They diagnosed a relative stage 2 cancer at age 66 and this makes me ponder more into investigating the cause of cancer in aging and to sensitize people on reasons cancer is prominent among the elderly with the precautions to take to prevent cancer disease.

      I write some scientific notations in simple terms for better understanding. The meaning of these words is in glossary.

      This book serves as a guide to reduce the high rate of cancer in aging with the help and advice of a doctor and dietitian.

      Several factors contributed to the susceptibility of old people to carcinogens, leading to cell mutation when the body defense system is weak. This book explains how to prevent cancer in older people.
