Love And The Ski Instructor - Vesta Romero
CAM
Five years on, and l still felt giddy, like a kid. Every single day. My body tingled with excitement at the thought of a new day. This one felt like the happy day l had passed my driver’s test as a teen.
My mornings were like groundhogs day and l couldn’t wait to get on the slopes. I reset the alarm that woke me up with a country western song with quickness.
I preferred a different type of music. As I got out of bed, the first song on the easy listening station had me swaying to it. Much more my style.
My urgent need to piss sent me to the bathroom in my bare feet. My shoulders sagged with relief as the water drained from my cock and hit the bowl. Not too shabby a specimen, l thought wryly as l shook off the last drops.
My hands washed, l squirted a line of toothpaste and brushed my teeth while standing in front of the large mirror over the sink. Not bad looking for a thirty-year-old!
I still had all my hair and not a stray hair to be found, head and crotch. Some of my friends had already greyed and none were happy about it. They were the same age as me too which puzzled me, but l assumed it all came down to genes.
I had inherited my father’s broad shoulders and height. My ancestry traced back to being Nordic. Skiing kept me in good shape during the winter. The rest of the year, it was to hit the gym hard four times a week to maintain my physique.
Devoid of wrinkles, my face resulted from the heritage, clean living and the fresh Colorado air.
If someone even suggested to me that l would live in Colorado full time six years ago, l would have shrugged it off as crazy talk. College had brought me to Arelis Springs. My father had attended the college and always spoke fondly of both the school and the people.
He was proud at the thought of me attending his alma mater. It wasn’t an Ivy League school, but a good one anyway. I had every intention of moving back east where l’d grown up. He had been right about the quaint town of Arelis. The people were indeed kind and looked out for each other.
It wasn’t quite the place where everyone knew your name, but it felt just right size-wise. One of those places that sometimes feels like a relic from the past with its low crime rate.
Our whole family enjoyed skiing, and it was a big part of our outdoorsy lifestyle. The slopes of Vermont, my hometown, were terrific, and the family took full advantage of all it offered. Memories of childhood and zooming down the ski slopes with my family in tow flood me on occasions.
Colorado had more extreme and more expert terrain than Vermont, however, and had me hooked ever since my first run freshman year. The abundant trees added an extra layer of excitement.
Coupled with the abundant days of sunshine that outnumbered Vermont’s, and it won me over with the briefest of fights.
As soon as l got off the slopes on that fateful day, l applied and got a job as a ski instructor. The pay wasn’t great, but my reasons were twofold: I could indulge in my passion for free, a big deal for a student.
It was also a great way to meet women and l enjoyed the flirtation and occasional sexual encounters that presented themselves, but l was no playboy by any means..
It was a straightforward decision to move for good soon after graduation and still no regrets.
MISTY
Shayla’s squeal forced me to move the phone from my ears to prevent her shattering my eardrums.
What on earth was she so excited about?
A bright sunny day plus a day off in the city meant only one thing for me. Shop till l dropped.
More like window shop in my case. I loved pretty and expensive things that l couldn’t afford.
For fun, l liked to go in to the stores and try clothes on. So much so, l have become friends with some of the shop assistants who would sometimes indulge my obsession.
Most of my wardrobe was thrift store buys. I was the queen of thrift, with an eclectic taste that somehow worked.
This day, l had just tried on a designer LBD, a little black dress that would be perfect for cocktail parties and fit me like a glove, hugging all my curves.
The price tag was higher than my monthly net and so it was with regret that l returned it to Sally.
She jokingly suggested putting it on a payment plan. As if that
