Chapter One

Jake Stracker was a man of few words. He was also the leader of the town’s notorious motorcycle gang, and their intentions were murky at best. They kept a front that they were simply there to donate to the town’s charity and keep the small businesses running smoothly and successfully, but how they earned the money they donated to the charities remained an unanswered and generally unquestioned mystery.

No one wanted to know because the money was good and helpful, and so nobody cared. 

When Jake was cruising on his loud hog down Main Street he didn’t expect to see anything out of the ordinary. He considered himself a peace keeper and liked to take daily rides through town to make sure no one was up to no good. Miss Kepper was out watering the flowers in front of the Kepper Deli, Mr. Morton was sweeping the sidewalk in front of his shoe repair shop, and old Dick Jones was smoking a cigarette outside his barber shop. That was generally all Jake ever saw in the small Arizona town. Everyone knew everyone and no one new ever moved there. 

Until that very day.
