    Point Proven - Todd Jr

    POINT PROVEN

    By

    Todd CoField Jr.

    (Approximately 9000 words)

Life starts with birth and ends with death. The help you need as an infant is similar to the help you need as an elderly person when you’re growing senile. This includes diaper changes, washing, feeding and teaching. Life is a big cycle, and as we grow older we don’t realize the smaller cycles we’re put through…

    (Challenge #1)

It’s almost time to test subject 2323, Jordan Fairfield:

    Age: 18 years old

    Skin Color: Brown

    Height: 6’5"

    Weight: 235 pounds

    Build: Athletic

    Diagnosis: Schizophrenia

Details: (1) Raised in a single family household amongst two of his eight siblings, Subject 2323 witnessed the abuse of his mother by his father. (2) He will have a child at age 19. (3) His favorite color is red.

His development stage is almost complete. Said the experimenter Johuff. Maybe we should add to his life that his biological father gets incarcerated, and that while his stepfather isn’t a religious man, his mom is a religious woman, whose side of the family he follows.

That seems like a perfect idea. The experimenter Gollock agreed. We can also add that they are living under poverty.

Well wouldn’t his childhood be confusing with his mother as a believer and his stepfather as a nonbeliever? Johuff posed as an afterthought.

Not at all. Remember, the lives of all of our subjects begin once we birth life into this world we created. Gollock reminded him. Today will be the first day of everyone’s lives, young and old. We’ve programmed them to think they know what they know. So they never really experienced these memories, but to them it feels real.

You’re a genius. Johuff praised Gollock. Let’s see how he starts his first day of real life.

Jordan woke up and jumped off of his bed. Confusion was apparent on his face as he looked around his red and black room. Stretching his arms to loosen his muscles he noticed his pet mouse.

The habitat of the mouse’s cage featured a big maze. Jordan read the words at its entrance: YOU ARE HERE!

The end of the maze read: Point Proven. Jordan recognized neither the mouse nor it’s cage. Nevertheless he overlooked it and began to walk out his room to start his day. He picked out a red shirt and some casual jeans to put on.

Before Jordan made it out of the house his girlfriend Melinda called him from the kitchen. He wasn’t expecting her to be at his house that morning. She had been popping up every so often ever
