Lozzy's Lenormand Love & Relationship Readings 2nd Edition - Lozzy Phillips

    INTRODUCTION TO THE 2ND EDITION

Learning to read the Lenormand cards in different contexts is a key element of Lenormand reading, whether you are reading just for yourself or others. And one of the most popular uses of the Lenormand cards, today as much as it was historically, is to try to predict your love life.

Expanding extensively from the original edition back in 2019, the aim of this book is to help you focus on the Lenormand cards in just the Love & Relationship context and to give you plenty of examples, and practice in using the cards this way—as well as to highlight some of the issues and pitfalls common in love readings which, after all, involve some of our deepest human vulnerabilities, hopes and wishes. As such, this new edition of the book is divided into several sections:

Recap of general Lenormand Card Meanings

Lenormand Love & Relationship-Specific Card Meanings

What to be aware of when doing Lenormand readings for love

Recap of Shorter Card Layouts, Step by Step, applied to the context of Love

Short Love-Specific Non-Traditional Layouts To Try

Finding Love In A Grand Tableau, Step By Step Exploration

Love Card Meanings & Combinations Exercises &  Love Practice Readings

Answers To Exercises & Practice Readings

Appendix: Love & Relationship Card Combination suggestions

I hope you find the guidance useful and that the practice exercises help to both increase your intuition and cement your understanding of the cards in the context of love and relationships.

    Happy practicing!

    Love & Relationships Card Meanings

Now we’ve done the recap of basic meanings,  let’s get into some specifics.

Although the cards’ fundamental meanings always stay the same, when they are used in particular kinds of readings - such as those focusing on Relationships or Career - you can see those meanings working within that particular context.

For example, in a Career reading, the Snake, with its intimations of betrayal and unpleasantness,  might represent a problem, a fraudster, a traitor in the ranks. In a Love context, however, this is a cheat of a different kind; a love rat, a cheater, a liar, for example.

What follows are some Love & Relationships-specific meanings of the cards.

First, each card in relation to their descriptions of people

Second, the cards in relation to their general love & relationships meanings

Last, the particular cards that come up most frequently in love readings, and what some of the nuances and indications of them are.

    Card Meanings I

    People, Descriptions

I don’t often use the cards for detailed physical descriptions, especially with regard to hair colour and so on, as I find it quite limiting and overly Euro-centric. Most of these suggestions, therefore, are personality traits, although there is the occasional physical description with regard to build, height etc.

    Card Meanings III

    Common Love & Relationship Cards

When we're talking about love and relationships, which are the cards that come up the most often, and what are the differences between their meanings in this context? You will often see cards come up in romance readings that appear on the surface to have similar meanings, and this can be confusing. So how do you know which is which and how they should be used?

The Heart, The Ring, The Moon

    The Heart

As you might imagine, it's all about The Love, this one. Warmth, passion, romance, your love life as a whole. The Heart tells us about core feelings deeply-held, true love in its purest sense. In many relationship readings the Heart will be the key card at the centre of the reading.

    The Ring

The Ring represents commitment, connection, something binding. A bond or agreement. Whereas the Heart represents love or a love relationship itself, in relationship terms, the Ring is more indicative of a marriage or another committed long-term relationship. It is about the commitment or agreement rather than the love itself. The Ring card combined with either the Man or Woman card often indicates that the person in question is married or otherwise taken!

    The Moon

You will sometimes see The Moon coming up and being interpreted as romance or an affair in itself. But this card is more about feelings and emotions, as well as perception and regard and in that sense has less depth than the Heart, which is the core of the feeling of love. The Moon also has a strong sense of being put on a pinnacle, adored, and the idea of adulation, being the shining light in the sky. I personally tend not to use the Moon as much in relationship readings as indicative of a romance. I see it as being more about the romantic gestures, changing inner feelings and moods connected with the relationship. In a way, it is more dramatic and poetic than the Heart: but the Heart is more solid at the core.
