    The Mandolin

The mandolin has been known since the 17th century and belongs to the family of lute instruments.

The classic mandolin is the Neapolitan with a drop-shaped body and a domed shell bottom. But there are also flat mandolins, which developed from traditional violin making. These instruments often have a Archtop. At the beginning of the 20th century, various types of flatmandolin carcasses were created in the United States, with F-shaped sound holes, a carved cut (cutaway) and a carcase snail.

The mandolin is versatile and found in the course of time in almost every genre their place. Also, as an accompanying instrument such as the guitar or the ukulele, it enjoys great popularity.
