About this ebook

Life is to be lived in all wholeness. A slash of dark paint here, a brush of happiness, a smudge of pain, a whiff of sadness, a sniff of love...
Now, stand back, take a look at your canvas, and tell me what you have there? Life is truly art only when it's full. Only when it is rich. Only when it is PAISLEY.

ONE WITH NATURE, ONE WITH GOD

King, King Joe, a family man,

Built in stature, skill, built up his daughter Emily,

Left off a week ago to make an honest living,

Got caught in a face off, got slapped, got stabbed, never came back.

He's left an eight-year-old girl, he's right in the grave.

He gave up a tiny trust fund for her, all of himself he gave up to the earth.

He left her a broken soul, to the Eternal One he gave up his soul, whole.

    Gran Ann, a nonagenarian. White-haired,

Light shed upon her sick face, she could see feathery creatures hovering,

Her offspring cooing, knowing the time was come, she gave a faint smile. Signal enough.

A thin straight line running endlessly on the screen, no pulse.

Her veins gently sinking back in her skin, her parched fingers turning cold.

Her spirit lifting out, fine tuned to hear the sound of a thousand harps,

And her body going down, lowered into the spot where she began.

Hutch, a bubbly six-year-old, living with his foster dad.

Leukaemia, at a young age, was all his offence.

No taxes, no commitments; love was his only responsibility.

He wasn't sad: oblivious to the gloom around.

He was pure, crystal clear heart.

With his hand in his father's, smiling, giggling, slipping away,

He fluttered his eyelids, depressed his chest, he was next.

He left, he gave his love to that dad, he left him sad,

Clad, in the heavenly realm, golden belt around his loins,

He gave all the praise; he was home, his place.

Lolu, the Runway Queen, a beauty never before seen,

Goodly in nature, a bright star with a big future.

Had a fiancé, but was caught in another romance.

He beat her up, scratched her face, went into a craze.

He dragged her to the bathtub, seized her top,

Dunked her in, for a minute, perhaps for two.

She ceased her cries, and put her sobs to cessation,

As she had no more in her to live, she had to leave, she left Steve.

And she had evermore in her to give, she did give, her soul…her body, in freeze.

    Maya the comedienne, and homemaker.

Woman beautiful in character, hilarious in career.
