About this ebook

From the New York Times bestselling author of Never Have I Ever comes the hair-raising story of a mother who moves herself and her daughter across the country to escape a dangerous stalker— but she can’t keep herself and her daughter safe from a monster she can’t identify

HIS GAME. HIS RULES. HER LIFE.

It started with the letters…

For actress Meribel Mills, disturbing fan mail is part of the price of fame. So when she starts getting creepy letters written in fruit-scented marker she’s mostly unfazed. But there’s something different about Marker Man…

He’s been in her home…

Meribel’s sheets smell of unfamiliar cologne, and objects are changing places inside her house. While the police insist that stalkers hardly ever escalate to violence, Meribel has played the dead girl one too many times on TV to risk becoming her in real life. She and her daughter move from Los Angeles to Atlanta for a fresh start—but no distance is great enough.

He’s watching her…

Years of being in front of a camera have given Meribel a superpower—she can feel eyes on her, and someone definitely has her in their sights. Could Marker Man have followed her all the way across the country? Suddenly, every man in her life is a suspect and Meribel finds herself in the fight of her life, desperate to protect those she loves as danger closes in from all sides.

If he can't have her, no one can.

Someone is stalking actress Maribel Mills. She is receiving creepy letters claiming love for her. Meribel calls her stalker Marker Man, and she thinks he is not only stalking her, but has been in her home because she smells his cologne in her house and notices things have been moved. Meribel needs to protect her daughter, Honor, from this danger, so when she is offered a new role in Georgia, she accepts, even though she fled from Georgia years earlier after leaving her husband, a decision she isn't sure was right. Meribel feels someone watching her, and doesn't know if it is her neighbor, her ex-husband, her ex-lover she broke off with in LA (also a decision she might regret). This was creepy, but I never felt it explained why Marker Man had such an obsession. I did laugh at the Scooby Doo reference.

This is such a tough book for me to rate and review. I found it very suspenseful as a stalker named Marker Man is obsessed with an actress from a TV sitcom she played 20 years ago.

There are many characters in the book who are suspect of being the stalker, yet who can she really trust? I felt it was a bit too convoluted and it ended so abruptly right when things started really getting interesting, that left me disappointed overall in the book. So many unanswered questions and unless I hear there is a book 2 coming, then my rating stands as 2.5 ⭐️

Thank you to William Morrow and BiblioLifestyle for my gifted copy.

"With My Little Eye" is a captivating and engaging mystery novel that follows a woman's investigation into discovering the truth about her husband and his possible infidelity. Along the way she uncovers a web of secrets and lies that threaten to destroy everything she holds dear.Jackson's writing style is crisp, engaging, and evocative, and she has a talent for creating memorable characters that jump off the page. Jaye is a complex and fascinating protagonist, and her inner turmoil and vulnerabilities make her all the more relatable. The plot of the novel is well-crafted and full of twists and turns that keep the reader on edge. Jackson does an excellent job of balancing the mystery elements of the story with more personal and emotional themes, such as family, love, and betrayal. One of the most impressive aspects of the book is the way that Jackson weaves together different threads of the story, creating a rich and nuanced narrative that is both satisfying and thought-provoking.Overall, "With My Little Eye" is an excellent read for fans of mystery and suspense. It's a well-written and engaging novel that will keep you guessing until the very end. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys this genre.

I recently had the honor of reading a digital review copy of With My Little Eye by Joshilyn Jackson. This suspense/psychological thriller features actor Meribel Mills and her neurodivergent daughter, Honor. Meribel and Honor relocate to Atlanta, GA so Meribel can take a role in a new show, but also the move is to provide some distance between her and her stalker. Even with all of the precautions Meribel has taken, she is still receiving disturbing correspondence from her stalker, Marker Man. Will she ever be able to outrun this stalker? Can she trust anyone that she meets? Can she protect herself or her daughter from the anonymous stalker?Although I did enjoy reading With My Little Eye, it took me some time to get into the story. I liked the characters Meribel and Honor, but also Meribel's new neighbors, Connor, Addie, and Addie's daughter Sheila. The first half of this story seemed to drag quite a bit for this reader, but when the action picked up it sped along, keeping my interest until the end. There's quite a bit going on in this story: deception, harassment, stalking, underage drinking and recreational drug use, and more. Meribel has to deal with an angry and jealous neighbor, as well as wonder about the honesty and trustworthiness of every male she has to deal with. There are plenty of twists and turns in the story in the second half of the book. Although I did find this to be an enjoyable read overall, I did stop reading the book initially due to a lack of interest in the story. For this reader, this wasn't a great read but it was a good one. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.

Actress Meribel Mills moves from LA to Georgia in an attempt to escape the attentions of a stalker. She also has landed some work in the area, so it was a convenient time to make the move. Her 13 year old daughter, Honor, makes the move with her and plays an integral part in the story.Unfortunately, Meribel’s stalker follows her to Georgia. Meribel is unnerved by this and tries to keep her fears from Honor, who is on the autism spectrum.Meribel’s circle of male friends who might be the stalker is very small, but I thought I knew who it was, only to be thrown for a loop in the middle of the story. Meribel has had cameras installed around her home in order to catch the man.Things really start moving quickly once Meribel learns he is in Georgia and the ending has a few surprises. I loved how the author presented Honor’s character and and her new friendships with two very different girls. Many thanks to NetGalley and William Morrow for allowing me to read an advance copy. I am happy to five my honest review and recommend this book to other readers.

This book was decent, but I thought it would be a lot better. It was a little slow at the beginning, but it picked up the pace and held my interest - I wanted to know who was stalking Meribel. I did not like how the character of Cooper completely changed halfway through the book. I don't think his storyline was necessary and didn't add anything to the main plot. I also would have liked an epilogue - the conclusion was not satisfying. Thanks to NetGalley for the digital ARC.
