About this ebook
The lore's and idiosyncrasies of human relationship: Things that can't or shouldn't be said, but which are thought. An unrestrained mental exchange.
Body language, facial expressions and actions must augment the Mindalogue. The actors must express (mime) their "pre-recorded" script akin to a silent movie. Except for at the beginning (the dispute) and at the end (the reconciliation) , there is no dialogue.
A good sound system is a pre-requisite for the recording, and playback of this play.
After the initial quarrelsome verbal exchange, the dialogue changes to a pre-recorded mindalogue, until near the end, when it reverts back to a dialogue, while making-up with kisses sweeter than words.
Enjoy,
J. L. Roy

Mindalogue - Jean-Luc Roy
Mindalogue
The lore’s and idiosyncrasies of human relationship; things that can’t or shouldn’t be said, but which are thought. An unrestrained mental exchange.
Settings: Main = Kitchen & Family room flanked by an optional Bedroom.
Body language, facial expressions, and actions must augment the Mindalogue. They must express their pre-recorded script akin to a silent movie. Except for at the beginning {the dispute} and at the end {the reconciliation}, there is no dialogue.
A good sound system is a pre-requisite for the production of this play. Both for recording and playback. The duration of the play is over an hour or so, and the time laps between lines is approximately 2 to 5 seconds.
# = Actors’ lines.
M = Mindalogue / pre-recorded Mental Monologue.
S = Setting.
D = Dialogue.
E = Emotions, as implied by Director and Actors, onto the script.
The play opens with a pre-recorded Mindalogue by the wife who has just spent hours preparing a special anniversary dinner for her husband, after having put-in a hard day’s work at the office.
The mood of the woman exudes happiness and fulfilment; which changes to annoyance and then anger as time progresses. For he is late, very late, and he hasn’t phoned. The clock on the wall has gone around slowly, from 6 to 8 PM.
Upon his arrival his face reflects guilt, for he knows he has committed a gaffe; but his expressions soon changed to anger at being harassed for his mistake. For an apology did not suffice.
After the initial quarrelsome verbal exchange, the dialogue changes to a pre-recorded Mindalogue until near the end of the play, when it reverts back to a dialogue while making-up with kisses sweeter than words.
Curtain Call
S= She’s in the kitchen putting the finishing touches on the special meal. Setting the dishes et cetera, before lighting the candles upon his arrival.
1 – Her – M = "It sure was nice of the boss to let me off early. I don’t think I could have done it without that extra time. I hope he’s going to like what I’ve made and what I bought him. He should look good in those shorts; maybe we can play me Jane you Tarzan after we eat. I can be his favourite dessert—a banana split.
"I wonder where my Lion with a Tiger’s tail is? He should have been here by now. I hope he hasn’t forgotten what day this is. It’d be typically male, but then I suppose that’s what he is, a dick raised by an old Witch.
"Mind you, I must say he’s a prime specimen with lots to offer; boy I get hot just thinking about him. But her... eh, I still don’t know how she could have brought him up to be such a nice guy, when she’s such a bitch.
"The perfect mother in public, and a holy terror at home; is how he described her. But rude and crude is what I call her. My definition of a lady as opposed to a woman is that a lady does certain human functions alone. But that woman never stops; I think it’s so funny the way John used to hide
