I have been a curious observer of life since childhood. The various experiences that humans go through often fascinate me and as I get older, I have become aware that the human mind perceives reality in their own way. 'What a person thinks becomes their reality.'I have formed the opinion that homo sapiens is a transient being whose existence on planet earth is both physical and spiritual with the physical element being transient. Eg. 'From dust to dust'; we're born and after completing our individual physical/mental experiences on earth, we die. Through my books, I've tried to show how human physical realities interact with the spiritual unconscious of our unseen inner being.      Science is on the verge of contemplating life beyond physical death by studying the various levels of energy fields that constantly vibrate within and around human and other life forms on planet earth, in the universe and beyond.      Secrets of the Lost Jaguar relates these beliefs of human existence according to various known religious and metaphysical schools of thought that I have used in the three episodes of my story.

    THE CELESTIAL REALM

The Gods of the celestial spectrum of the realm decreed that the Tartarian high priests; guardians of the first inter-dimensional energy grid on Atlantis; advance the souls of the human race by transcending the cycle of continuous reincarnation; a mission that was destroyed by the sophisticated hybrid creations of animal/aqua/human/cyborg beings of the high priests; by tampering with the sensory vibrations of the energy grid, that upset the prime objective of the jaguar; when they lost their celestial p ower:

    PLANET EARTH

    LORE OF THE AMAZON

In 1934, a famous anthropologist, scientist, and physician of tropical medicine, Professor Gustav de Guzman, landed his light aircraft at a small airport in the London suburbs. A best-selling author and publisher of many mystery novels and scientific journals was a spirited and active man in his early seventies who flew his light aircraft to many countries around the world and braved the rumors of an impending war in Europe. Following a very energetic meeting with the select members of the Atlantean Society of Researchers in England, he knew that he had to return to the U.S. in two weeks to meet his family. There were rumors of the war world brewing in Europe. Still, he attended the conference to meet an old friend, Professor Batista, who was not only his friend but also an accomplished Brazilian archeolo gist.

Batista had introduced him to a rare research interest regarding some Atlantean Scientists.

These ancient scientists had supposedly developed a unique genetic laboratory in the Amazon jungle that numerous modern archeological teams had failed to find, he instructed. It is believed that the ancient scientists had survived the destruction of Atlantis about ten thousand years ago; while conducting tests and genetic experiments in their secret laboratory, hidden deep in the recesses of the jungle. Professor Batista did preliminary research to find the lost lab and gave his friend an emblem with the face of a black jaguar and some research papers for him to study. I obtained this emblem in a little-known curio shop several years ago in Brazil, Batista said, and the mystery surrounding this artefact sparked my interest in finding the lab. Further research by some colleagues revealed that the black jaguar was thought to be an esoteric symbol of the Atlantean high priests that meant - ‘Re-creation of the human body.’ - Guzman was very interested, while Batista elaborated. It was compared to the later ancient Greek medical emblem of a snake coiled around the staff as the symbol of - ‘Rejuvenation of the human body.’ - After several detailed tests were carried out on the object by various modern scientists, neither the components nor the origin of the artefact, could be determined.

The elements of the emblem did not match any known element on this planet or similar substance within the known universe."

The aging, eighty-two-year-old Professor, who, because of a chronic illness, explained that due to his failing health, he would be honored if he, Gustav, would continue the search for the lost lab. The much younger scientist was encouraged by his esteemed older colleague’s request and made a solemn promise.

After reading the papers, I promise that I’ll put together the best team possible and mount an expedition, which I’m confident can be funded.

Guzman’s brief meeting with his old friend made his day, and as he piloted his aircraft aloft, he began to concentrate on the timing and schedule of his long flight from London; to meet his wife and son at Stanford University in the U.S. From there, the three of them had planned to fly to their home in Brazil for the holidays.

His wife Maria, a very caring and studious woman, was also a scientist with a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Genetics and had planned to drive to Stanford, where they intended to make their rendezvous. He recalled, "My wife was in her mid-thirties when she conceived our only son. Perhaps because of this, she exhibited the utmost care and concern for him. Both he and his wife were proud to know that their boy had a few more months to earn his doctorate in internal medicine and genetics, just like his mother.

The plan worked like a charm because after making two shortstops in Europe, he flew to America to meet Maria, and they drove to Stanford University to meet their boy.

His name was Luiz, and he was thrilled to see his parents, whom he greeted with much bravado and excitement - especially his father, who was his idol in many ways. As Luiz placed his strong arms around his father, he said with a characteristic jest in his voice, How’s my old father doing? I’m so glad to see that you’re accompanied by a beautiful younger, looking lady who happens to be my dear mother. They both smiled as he hugged his mother and kissed her.

To me, age is just a number, my boy. It’s how one feels that matters, his father replied. However, I do appreciate that you recognized the perpetual youth and beauty of your dear mother, his father added as he eyed him curiously while moving closer to Maria to place his arm around her.

Well. Well, Maria. I finally lived to see the day my son expressed himself like a chip off the old block. Don’t you agree? she laughed.

You may be right. For a moment, he sounded just like you did in your younger years.

They were all pleasantly amused as the professor held his son on one side, and the family strolled along the concrete path chatting.

At twenty-four, with a few months left to graduate and as the only child of a highly educated couple, their desire to make him independent and self-assured had strong feelings about him developing his independence. They encouraged him to study away from their hometown to gain his own experiences and make new friends. He was a daring outdoorsman, and while he may have been considered a nerd to some, his competitive prowess in games and other highly physical activities made him many friends and several close female admirers.

Professor Guzman stopped briefly along the pathway and pulled the emblem from his pocket. Maria watched as he expressed great delight at what he was about to do.

Before I forget, I’d like to give you this, Luiz. He put the symbol of the Black Jaguar around his son’s neck. This is for you to wear for good luck, my boy. It’s an ancient symbol representing a genetic program and a unique laboratory that had been lost in the Amazon jungle for thousands of years." He was in good spirits, and as he draped his arm around his wife, he said to Luiz.

I desire that after you graduate, the three of us get together and carry out a search for the lost lab in the deep, unexplored Brazilian jungle. How’s that? Maria looked excited at the idea, and Luiz was game for such a trip, so the professor concluded.

Then it’s settled. He turned to his son, Apart from a much-needed first job for you, it will be a grand adventure for all of us, he said with conviction as they continued to stroll along.

As an alternative, even if we don’t find the lab, I could write a novel about our travels and call the expedition Search for the Secrets of the Lost Jaguar." They all laughed at his suggestion, yet while he may’ve been joking, there was an element of seriousness in his statement that his wife and son immediately recognized.

    CURIOUS ADVENTURE

The family of three was on their way to take a long flight from the U.S. en route to their home in Brazil to spend the holidays together. Young Guzman’s father was a highly skilled pilot who often piloted flights on his own and traveled to many distant and dangerous lands while answering the call of his profession, which was the pursuit of knowledge of the human past. Both his wife and son were accustomed to his sense of adventure and daring and his son, in particular, enjoyed his youthful vitality, while at the aircraft’s controls.

He enjoyed those moments when his father sang aloud while the tape recorder played in the background.

It was a beautiful, bright sunny day as they observed the vast green mass below. They were flying over a virtually unexplored part of the Amazon jungle where Guzman had learned from his old friend that This may be the area on the map where the laboratory of the ancient scientists could be found, he explained. His burning curiosity made him take the route, he began to explain the story to his family while flying over the area.

Batista was convinced that the lost lab had been purposefully hidden from the world by the ancient scientists in the deep unexplored forests around the Brazilian border with another country. It was said that the ancient scientific priests also had super-skilled engineers and other scientists in their party who understood the need for utmost secrecy.

    PERILS OF FLYING

The plane cruised above a mountainous area with thick, heavy clouds that hovered over a no-man’s-land of dense and unexplored regions of the Amazon forest. His father appeared relaxed as he continued the story while the plane cruised undisturbed above the clouds. Several reports of highly unusual radio abnormalities have been reported to come from this region, he reiterated, but no one ever really investigated.

With no maps of these unsurveyed areas, it was considered too dangerous to mount a well-equipped expedition where several smaller parties had already disappeared."

Maria looked down at the sea of green with tall mountains and constantly drifting heavy clouds floating above. No wonder, she said. There’s nothing but dark, misty forests soaring over mountain peaks that rose from a massive green mass. There are no discernible rivers, roads, or trails. Most of all, there is no inviting landscape to land a plane or open land that could lead into this unexplored part of the Amazon. It’s just a deep ocean of dark green trees.

His father replied, Don’t worry, Maria; before we venture into the deep, we’ll have this area mapped out by satellite. Luiz pondered his parents’ comments when all of a sudden, the electrical circuits began to go haywire in the plane. The whole electrical system within the aircraft was spinning out of control, and lights were flashing on and off in the cockpit. A few mesmerizing seconds drifted by until it suddenly stopped, and all was normal again. The professor spoke anxiously. See what I mean? it’s the same strange anomaly that bush pilots often spoke about whenever they flew above these highly electrically charged areas. Suddenly, another strange event occurred when the aircraft entered an air pocket and dropped like a heavy bowling ball several feet downward and stopped abruptly.

There was a sickening feeling within the stomach of twenty-four-year-old Luiz Guzman, who began to feel queasy. The engine was running smoothly, but Luiz had a strong sense of anxiety from the sudden drop. He glanced over at his mother, who looked calm as she sat next to his father. Maria saw her son’s fear and shouted over the engine’s noise. To a pilot who usually flies over these high mountainous regions, this occurrence is considered normal. Luiz listened, but her explanation did not allay his fears. We’ll have to ride out the air pocket by resisting the attempt to control the aircraft and go with the flow of the currents, his father added. The young genetic scientist with the emblem around his neck watched in fearful silence while the system seemed to work and the plane cruised within the clouds. But his anxiety was heightened when he realized that the single-engine aircraft traveled dangerously through a valley between two huge mountains that he felt were too close for comfort. It was only when his father took back control of the plane and rose out of the air pocket into the skies again that his fear was lessened.

But all was not well, for as the aircraft climbed out from between the mountains into the clouds, a flock of birds suddenly appeared out of nowhere. The clash of birds and the rotating propeller of the single-engine plane was devastating.

Everything happened fast as the blood and bird feathers splattered across the windshield. Then, the damaged light airplane began a dangerous and uncontrollable descent toward the green mass below. At once, Luiz had a vivid foreboding of fear, panic and dread on his parents’ faces. A series of blinding flashes showed his father trying desperately to regain control of the aircraft while the engine ran with a damaged propeller. There was anguish on his face, panic intensified rapidly, and everyone felt the inevitability of death. He watched as the aircraft swayed uncontrollably. Despite the impending doom, he saw his father at the controls trying to make an impossible and illogical landing on the canopy of the tall trees. During the final moments
