Blood on the Moon - Myria Hopkins

    The Full Moon Feast

Jenna double-checked her gear, making sure she had everything she needed for a long night ahead. She had been working as a park ranger for a few months now, but this was her first full moon shift. She had heard stories about strange things happening in the forest on nights like this, but she tried to push those thoughts out of her head.

As she stepped out of the ranger station, the full moon illuminated the forest, casting an eerie glow over everything. The sound of crickets filled the air, and Jenna breathed in the fresh forest scent. She couldn't wait to start her shift.

As she walked deeper into the forest, Jenna heard rustling in the bushes. She cautiously approached, trying to identify the source of the sound. Suddenly, a large shape darted out of the bushes, and Jenna instinctively reached for her radio.

Hello, this is Ranger Jenna. I think there's something out here with me, she said, her voice shaking slightly.

The response was garbled and filled with static, but Jenna could make out something about a report of illegal camping in the area. She made a mental note to investigate later and continued her patrol.

As she made her way deeper into the forest, Jenna heard more strange noises. This time, it sounded like something was moving through the underbrush. She crouched down, holding her flashlight steady, and waited. Suddenly, a large, furry creature emerged from the trees. Jenna was frozen in fear, unable to move as the creature approached her.

Whoa, easy there, a voice said, breaking Jenna's trance. She looked up to see Ethan, another park ranger, approaching her with his hands up.

I didn't mean to scare you. I was just checking on the wildlife, and I heard some commotion over here, Ethan explained.

Jenna breathed a sigh of relief, grateful for the company. They continued their patrol together, chatting and laughing as they walked. The forest seemed less scary with Ethan by her side.

As they reached the end of their shift, Jenna was grateful for the quiet night. But as she turned to head back to the ranger station, she heard a low growl coming from the trees. Her heart raced as she reached for her radio once again.

Dispatch, this is Ranger Jenna. We've got something out here. I don't know what it is, but it doesn't sound friendly, she said, her voice shaking with fear.

The radio crackled to life, and Jenna heard a message that made her blood run cold.

Jenna, this is Mark. You need to get out of there. There are hunters in the area, and they're armed. Repeat, get out of there now!

Jenna's heart sank as she realized the danger she was in. She turned to Ethan, fear etched on her face.

Ethan, we have to go. Now! she said urgently.

Together, they sprinted through the forest, dodging trees and branches as they went. But as they ran, Jenna started to feel a strange sensation in her body. She shook her head, trying to shake off the feeling, but it only intensified. She felt like something was taking over her, like an animal trying to break free from within.

What's happening to me? she cried out, her voice hoarse with fear.

But there was no time for answers. They could hear the hunters closing in behind them, and they knew they had to keep moving if they wanted to survive.

Jenna knew she had to do something about the hunters. She couldn't let them roam around the forest, killing innocent animals. She decided to approach them, hoping to convince them to leave peacefully. She grabbed her flashlight and walked towards their campsite.

As she got closer, she could hear them laughing and telling stories. She cleared her throat and announced herself. Excuse me, but this is a protected area. You can't camp here or hunt any animals.

The hunters turned to face her, their faces scowling. One of them, a burly man with a thick beard, stood up and towered over Jenna. Who the hell are you to tell us what to do? he snarled.

I'm a park ranger. It's my job to protect the wildlife and natural resources in this area, Jenna replied calmly, trying not to show any fear.

The hunters exchanged glances and then burst out laughing. A park ranger? You're just a little girl! one of them jeered.

Jenna gritted her teeth, feeling angry and insulted. I'm a fully trained ranger, and I have the authority to kick you out of this area. So, I suggest you pack up your things and leave now.

The hunters grumbled but eventually started to pack up their campsite. Jenna breathed a sigh of relief, glad that they were leaving without any major confrontation. But as they were leaving, one of the hunters turned to her and said, We'll be back. And next time, we won't be so friendly.

Jenna stumbled back to her cabin, trying to process what was happening to her. Her heart was pounding, and she could feel her body changing. Her senses were heightened, and everything around her seemed more vivid.

She collapsed onto her bed, clutching her head in pain. Suddenly, she felt her bones shifting and her muscles expanding. She let out a scream as fur sprouted all over her body. Her hands became claws, and her teeth elongated into sharp fangs.

As the transformation completed, Jenna could feel a new power coursing through her body. She felt strong and invincible, but also scared and alone. She knew she couldn't stay in her cabin, not with the hunters still in the area.

Jenna darted out of the cabin, sprinting into the woods. She could feel her wolf instincts taking over, urging her to run and hunt. But she knew she had to control herself and find a way to reverse the transformation.

As she ran, Jenna noticed that the forest looked different, more alive than before. She could see things she never noticed before and hear sounds she never heard before. She felt a connection to nature and to the moon above.

Jenna stopped in a clearing, howling at the moon above. She felt a sense of belonging and comfort, knowing that she wasn't alone in her transformation. But as the moon started to wane, Jenna knew she had to find a way to control her transformation before the next full moon.

Jenna ran through the forest, her senses on high alert. She could hear the sounds of twigs snapping and leaves rustling behind her. She turned around and saw a group of werewolves chasing after her. They were snarling and growling, their eyes locked onto her.

Jenna knew that she had to use her knowledge of the forest to outsmart the pack. She sprinted towards a steep hill and started to climb, using her claws to grip onto the rocks. The pack followed closely behind, but she was too fast for them.

As Jenna reached the top of the hill, she looked down at the pack below. They were circling around the base of the hill, trying to find a way to reach her. Jenna knew that she couldn't stay there for long, as they would eventually find a way to climb up.

She scanned the area and noticed a nearby stream. She quickly ran towards it, diving into the water and using the current to wash away her scent. She emerged on the other side of the stream, taking deep breaths to calm herself.

As Jenna caught her breath, she heard a rustling in the bushes behind her. She turned around and saw a lone werewolf staring at her. It was a female, and Jenna could sense that she was not part of the pack.

The female werewolf approached Jenna, slowly sniffing her. Jenna was nervous but tried to remain calm. Who are you? she asked.

I am Lyra, the werewolf replied. I have been watching you. You are different from the others.

Jenna was taken aback. Different? What do you mean?

Lyra stepped closer. You have a strong connection to the forest and to the moon. You are not like the others, who hunt and kill without thought.

Jenna was intrigued. What do you want from me?

Lyra looked at Jenna, her eyes intense. I want you to join us. We are a pack, but we are not like the others. We live in harmony with nature, and we only hunt what we need.

Jenna considered her offer. She was alone in the forest, and the pack seemed to be her only chance of survival. She nodded, accepting Lyra's offer.

As they walked through the forest together, Jenna couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging. She had found a new family, one that understood her transformation and accepted her for who she was. But she also knew that the hunters were still out there, and she would have to fight for her life.

Jenna was exhausted and terrified from her previous encounter with the pack of werewolves. She stumbled upon a small clearing and collapsed on the ground, her body wracked with pain as the transformation continued.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching. She struggled to stand up, ready to defend herself, but then she saw the figure of a man emerge from the darkness. He was tall and lean, with a rugged face and piercing blue eyes. He wore a long coat and a wide-brimmed hat, and carried a staff.

Who are you? Jenna asked, her voice shaking.

The stranger approached slowly, his eyes fixed on Jenna's glowing yellow ones. My name is Silas, he said. I've been watching you, Jenna. I know what you're going through. I know what it's like to be a werewolf.

Jenna was surprised. You're a werewolf too?

Silas nodded. I've been living in these woods for years, learning to control the transformation. It's not easy, but it's possible. You just have to be strong and determined.

Jenna felt a glimmer of hope. Can you help me?

Silas smiled. I can teach you. But it won't be easy. Are you ready to embrace your inner beast?

Jenna hesitated, but then nodded. She knew she had no other choice. She had to learn to control the transformation before it consumed her completely. And she had a feeling that Silas was her only hope.

Jenna was on her way back to her cabin when she noticed a fellow park ranger, Ethan, patrolling the area. She felt relieved to see a friendly face and decided to approach him. As she got closer, she realized that Ethan was even more handsome up close.

Hey there, she greeted him with a smile.

Hey, Jenna. You look like you've had a rough night. Is everything okay? Ethan asked, concern etched on his face.

Jenna hesitated for a moment, unsure whether to tell him about her transformation. But something about Ethan made her feel comfortable, and she decided to confide in him.

I don't know how to explain it, but I think something's happening to me. I'm changing, and I don't know how to control it, Jenna admitted, feeling vulnerable.

Ethan listened attentively and then shared his own secret. I've heard of this before. There are rumors about werewolves in the forest. Maybe that's what's happening to you.

Jenna was shocked to hear the word werewolf, but Ethan's calm demeanor helped her feel more at ease.

Is there anything I can do to help you? Ethan asked, his eyes full of concern.

Jenna felt a spark of attraction and knew that she wanted to spend more time with him. Actually, there is something you can do. Will you help me figure out how to control this transformation?

Ethan nodded without hesitation. I'm here for you, Jenna. We'll figure this out together.

Jenna was shocked to discover that one of her colleagues, Jake, was secretly working with the hunters who had threatened her before. As she confronted him, Jake smirked and shifted into his werewolf form, revealing his true identity. You're a werewolf too? Jenna gasped.

Jake sneered at her. I've always been a werewolf. But unlike you, I embrace my true nature. And now, I'm going to take over this pack and become the alpha.

Jenna was horrified by Jake's betrayal and his plan to take control of the pack. She knew she couldn't let him succeed. You can't do this, she pleaded. We're supposed to be protecting the forest, not destroying it.

Jake just laughed. That's where you're wrong. The forest is ours to do with as we please. And once I'm the alpha, I'll make sure everyone knows it.

Jenna knew that she had to stop Jake before it was too late. She braced herself for a fight, ready to defend herself and protect the pack from Jake's tyranny.

Jenna, Ethan, and the mysterious stranger, whose name she learns is Lucas, make their way through the forest, each of them armed with a weapon to defend themselves. Jenna's heart is racing, and she can feel the beast inside her stirring as they get closer to the rogue ranger's hideout.

As they approach, they see the ranger and his pack of werewolves waiting for them. I knew you'd come, the ranger sneers. I've been waiting for this moment.

Jenna steps forward, her eyes locked on the ranger. You're going to pay for what you've done, she says.

The ranger just laughs. You think you can defeat me and my pack? You're no match for us.

But Jenna is determined to prove him wrong. She charges forward, her claws extending as she transforms into her werewolf form. The other werewolves follow suit, and soon a vicious battle is raging.

Ethan and Lucas fight alongside Jenna, each of them using their weapons to take down the enemy. Jenna feels a rush of power as she embraces her inner beast, using her speed and agility to outmaneuver the other werewolves. Finally, after what seems like hours of fighting, the ranger and his pack are defeated.

Jenna stands victorious, her breathing heavy and her fur matted with blood. Ethan and Lucas approach her, smiling. You did it, Ethan says. You're a true werewolf now.

Jenna feels a sense of pride and accomplishment wash over her. She knows that she's finally found her place in the world, as a protector of the forest and its inhabitants.

As the sun began to rise over the horizon, Jenna and Ethan sat on a fallen tree trunk, watching the forest come to life. Jenna took a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. I can't believe we made it through the night, she said with a small smile.

Ethan placed his hand on hers and gave it a gentle squeeze. You were amazing out there, he said, looking at her with admiration. I don't know how you did it.

Jenna blushed, feeling a surge of warmth in her chest. I couldn't have done it without your help, she said, looking at him gratefully. I'm glad you were there with me.

Ethan smiled and leaned in, pressing his lips to hers. Jenna closed her eyes, savoring the moment. She felt a connection with Ethan that she'd never felt with anyone else. It was as if they were meant to be together.

As they broke the kiss, Jenna looked at Ethan with a hint of sadness. What happens now? she asked, knowing that their time together was limited. I can't stay here forever. I have to learn to control my transformation.

Ethan nodded, understanding the weight of her words. I'll help you, he said, determination in his voice. We'll figure it out together. I won't let you face this alone.

Jenna smiled, feeling a sense of comfort and security in Ethan's presence. She knew that they had a long journey ahead of them, but she was ready to face it with him by her side.

Jenna wakes up in her cabin feeling a sense of calm after the chaos of the previous night. She gets dressed and steps outside to find Ethan waiting for her with a cup of coffee. They sit down on the porch and watch the sun slowly rise over the forest.

You did amazing last night, Jenna, Ethan says, breaking the silence.

Jenna smiles and takes a sip of her coffee. I couldn't have done it without you and the stranger's help, she says, turning to him.

I just wish there was another way, Ethan replies. I hate that you have to go through this every full moon.

Jenna puts her hand on Ethan's. It's a part of who I am now, she says. And I want to use it for good. I want to protect this forest and the creatures that call it home.

Ethan nods in agreement. I'm with you, Jenna. We'll do it together.

As they finish their coffee, Jenna looks out at the forest and feels a sense of peace. She knows that she's not alone, and that she has a new family in the pack of werewolves who accepted her and the humans who supported her.

I think it's time we get to work, Jenna says, standing up and putting her coffee cup down.

Ethan stands up too, and they head towards the park ranger station, ready to start a new day and a new chapter in their lives.

    Silver Bullets and Sacred Blood

Jackson sat in his dimly lit apartment, staring blankly at his phone when it suddenly rang. The caller ID read Unknown Number, but he answered it anyway.

    Hello? Jackson said.

Is this Jackson? a panicked voice on the other end asked.

Yes, this is Jackson. Who is this? he replied.

My name is Sarah. I'm from a small town called Ravenwood. We're being attacked by a pack of werewolves, and we don't know what to do. We need your help, Sarah explained.

Jackson rubbed his chin thoughtfully. He had heard of Ravenwood before - it was a small town deep in the woods, rumored to be home to all sorts of supernatural creatures. Werewolves were just one of the many dangers that lurked there.

I'll be there as soon as I can, Jackson promised, grabbing his duffel bag and filling it with his hunting gear.

As he drove down the winding road towards Ravenwood, Jackson couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He had faced many dangerous creatures in his lifetime, but there was something about werewolves that always gave him chills.

When he finally arrived in Ravenwood, he was met by a group of scared and desperate locals. They told him about the werewolf pack that had been terrorizing the town for weeks, and about their leader - an ancient alpha who had been in control for centuries.

Please, you have to help us, a woman named Ava begged. We've been fighting back with silver bullets and sacred blood, but it's not enough. We need someone like you, someone who knows how to take down these beasts.

Jackson nodded gravely. I'll do what I can, he said.

Over the next few hours, Jackson spoke to the locals and learned more about the situation. The werewolf pack was led by the alpha, a powerful and cunning creature who had been terrorizing Ravenwood for centuries. The pack had grown stronger in recent years, and the locals were struggling to keep them at bay.

Have you tried to take down the alpha? Jackson asked.

We've tried, but he's too powerful, Ava said. We need someone like you, someone who can take him on and win.

Jackson knew that the task would not be easy, but he was determined to do what he could to help the people of Ravenwood. Alright, he said. I'll take on the alpha. But I need your help.

The locals looked at him with a mix of hope and fear. What do you need us to do? Sarah asked.

We need to come up with a plan, Jackson
