Campfire Stories for Children - Liom Liom
The missing campfire
It was a dark and stormy night when a group of friends set out into the forest to light their campfire. They had prepared everything they needed: Wood, marshmallows, chocolate and their best scary stories.
When they arrived at the campsite, something was strange. The fire was gone! There was not even a spark to be seen anymore. The friends were confused and frightened. Where had the fire gone? Had they forgotten to light it? Or had someone else been there?
They decided to search the surrounding area for tracks. One of the friends spotted footprints leading to a nearby tree. As they approached the tree, they saw something that made their knees tremble: a piece of cloth that looked like a garment was hanging from a branch.
The friends were sure that something terrible had happened. They decided to search the forest for more clues. As they went deeper into the forest, they suddenly heard a strange sound. It was a whisper, but it was impossible to tell where it came from.
The friends became more and more nervous and finally decided to go back to the campsite. When they got there, they saw that the fire had been lit again. But who had lit it? There was no one around.
The friends were relieved to see the fire burning again, but they still wondered what had happened. Later that evening, as they slept in their tents, they heard the whispering again. But this time it was louder and closer.
They opened their tents and saw a ghostly shadow flitting through the forest. The friends ran out of the forest as fast as they could and decided never to go to that area again.
Even though they never found out what had really happened to their campfire, one thing was clear to them: the forest had secrets that were better left undiscovered.
The spirit of the forest
It was a sunny day when Lucy and her friends went into the forest to do their nature study excursion. They had a map that marked all the animals and plants in the forest that they were supposed to find. They were looking forward to an exciting day full of discoveries.
They had been walking in the forest for a while when they noticed that something was strange. It seemed as if the forest was quieter than usual. No bird was singing and there were no animals to be seen.
Suddenly they heard a noise. It sounded like a soft cracking and rustling of leaves. They went in the direction of the sound and discovered an old tree with a big hole in the middle. The tree was so old that it had begun to rot and a green carpet of moss was growing in the hole.
Lucy ventured closer to the tree and noticed that the moss inside the hole was glowing. When she looked closer, she recognized a figure that looked like a ghost. The ghost was in the shape of an old man and he seemed to be connected to the forest.
Lucy and her friends were amazed and a little scared. They wondered who this ghost was and what he wanted. The spirit spoke to them in a smoky voice and said that he was the spirit of the forest and that he needed help.
He explained that the forest was in danger and that he was losing his power. Without his power, the forest would soon die. Lucy and her friends immediately understood that they had to help.
They asked the spirit to tell them what they could do. The spirit said that they had to find the heart of the forest and bring it back. The Heart of the Forest was a magical stone that preserved the energy and life force of the forest.
Lucy and her friends were ready for the challenge. They followed the spirit's clues and wandered through the forest until they discovered the heart of the forest. It was a glowing green crystal that lay in an enchanted well.
They took the crystal and brought it back to the spirit of the forest. The spirit was so grateful that he gave Lucy and her friends his powers so that they could protect and preserve the forest.
Lucy and her friends were proud that they had helped the forest. They knew that they now had the responsibility to protect and preserve the forest so that future generations could enjoy it.
The cursed house on the lake
Lena and her friends were curious about the old house by the lake that everyone in the village was talking about. They had heard that it was cursed and that strange things happened when you got too close.
One day they decided to take a closer look at the house. They walked down the path to the lake and saw the old house at the end of the footbridge. It was a creepy old house that had been abandoned for years. The windows were broken and the doors were open.
Lena and her friends ventured closer to the house and entered it. They were surprised to see that the house still contained furniture and old objects. It seemed that someone had left the house in a hurry.
Suddenly they heard a noise and the house began to shake. They ran out of the house, but when they turned around, they saw that it had changed. It was no longer an abandoned house, but a living, vibrant house.
They tried to escape, but the house held them and took them to a hidden room. There they discovered a diary that explained that the house had been cursed by an evil witch. The witch had imbued the house with her dark powers and made it trap people who got too close.
Lena and her friends were now trapped
