Wisdom on Wisdom - Chase Kreger

    INTRODUCTION

    WHY THIS BOOK?

One of the great tragedies of this hour is the speed with which cognitive decline is spreading throughout our world. Our inability to synthesize, deconstruct, discern, and interpret is sad, embarrassing, and concerning. Evidenced in how we capitulate more than we contemplate, we prefer dissipation over concentration, and we choose degeneracy instead of literacy.

But brain atrophy is just the symptom, and the underlying problem is our unwavering addiction to entertainment – which far surpasses our indispensable need for education. It is clear to me that we are living in the laziest generation in the history of mankind, which has been made obvious by the rampant spread of depravity throughout modern society. Alas, this book was written for one primary purpose: To serve as an antidote against cognitive decline in hopes that reading these quotes would ignite your fire for an unquenchable learning obsession.

    WHY QUOTES?

Quotes inspire us and entertain us. They pull us into an idea and drive us into action. Quotes force us to contemplate, meditate, concentrate, and evaluate. They provoke thoughts, trigger actions, and influence choices. Quotes persuade us, encourage us, energize us, and challenge us. They foster collaboration, enhance participation, and even create division. Quotes are the beginnings of conversations, the highlights of dissertations, and the endings of presentations. The good ones can stimulate missions, meanings, mottos, and mantras. Every influencer should have a quote ready to give. This book is packed with 400+ to help us learn, lead, and live.

    COROLLARY:

Quotes do not equal endorsements. With only one exception, every person quoted in this book has said or done something I fundamentally disagree with, including myself. It is not in our best interest to idolize humans, but we should learn from them, and this is an attempt at helping us learn from them. Don’t dismiss the brilliance of the selected quote because of the person who wrote it. People are often wrong about some things but correct on other things.

    FORMAT OF THE BOOK:

In each of the twenty main chapters you will find:

    •Chapter Title (Subject)

    •15 Quotes From Experts

    •5 Ideas From Me

    FINAL THOUGHT:

It is almost astonishing how a precisely selected group of words have the ability to influence one’s life, alter one’s decisions, and inspire one’s choices. I hope you find this collection of words to be epiphany-producing and thought-provoking. But even beyond the insight, I pray this book provides you with the spark you need to militate against cognitive decline and ultimately ignites a lasting fire to help you make reading a part of your daily routine.
