Chapter 1
The Bookstore Robbery and the Mysterious Map
Book and map store on Birchwood Lane
It was a dark and rainy night on Birchwood Lane, in the heart of New York City. The rain was pelting down, and the wind was howling, making it difficult to see or hear anything.
As Milo Eber the Dog and Randolph Sharp the Hedgehog arrived at the book and map store, they could see the broken window and figures moving in the alleyway behind the store.Looks like we've got a robbery on our hands,
Milo growled, as he and Randy rushed over to the alley.
As they approached, they saw three figures moving around in the shadows. It was Percy Erethizon the Porcupine, Sidney Polecat the Ferret, and Julian Talpina the Mole, notorious bandits in the city.
Stop right there!
Randy yelled, pulling out his handcuffs. You're all suspects in this robbery!
The bandits froze in their tracks, and Milo and Randolph slowly moved in to make the arrests. But just as they were about to grab Percy, he darted off, clutching the stolen package in his quills.
Get back here, you thief!
Milo roared, chasing after him. But Percy was too fast, and he managed to escape over the fence, disappearing into the night.
Percy Erethizon the Porcupine
Randolph sighed in frustration as Milo returned to his side. Well, at least we caught these two,
he said, gesturing to Sidney and Julian.
Milo and Randy quickly apprehended Sidney Polecat and Julian Talpina, the ferret and the mole, respectively, and put them in handcuffs. You two are under arrest for robbery,
Milo announced.
The two suspects didn't resist and silently allowed the detectives to put them in the back seat of the police car. Milo got in the driver's seat while Randolph sat in the passenger's seat.
As they drove to the police station, Randy continued to question the suspects. What was in the package that you stole from the bookstore?
It was an old map with some drawings on it,
Julian replied.
Milo furrowed his brow in confusion. What kind of drawings?
We don't know yet,
Sidney admitted. We were hired to steal it, and we were told that it was valuable.
Randolph leaned forward. Who hired you?
We don't know his name,
Julian said. He contacted us through a third party and paid us to do the job.
Milo nodded thoughtfully. They arrived at the police station and handed the suspects over to the officers on duty. These two are the ones responsible for the bookstore robbery,
Milo told them. We need to find out more about this map and who hired them.
The officers thanked them and took Sidney and Julian into custody for questioning. Milo and Randolph exchanged a look, knowing that they still had work to do. They had to track down the porcupine and uncover the truth behind this mysterious map with unknown
