    FORWARD

Not Enough Is Not Okay written by Joseph (J. Michael) Foster, is not likely a work which will be (knowingly) picked up by those among us who are disinclined to be generous givers. Rather, it is more likely to be discredited, disclaimed, and defamed by the Ebenezer Scrooges of our times, for in 2022, finding people who take stock in a book that strongly encourages sacrificial giving, charitable giving, or compassionate giving, is rapidly becoming harder to come by. However, to young men like Minister Jay Foster, giving is a gesture is as natural and as effortless as blessing one’s food before the partaking of a meal.

If readers will forgive my stating of the obvious, the author›s deep reverence for God did not end with the author›s giving thanks for natural food which he was about to receive before mealtime. This reverence—nay hunger—for the deep mysteries and soul-stirring blessings to be found in the Powerful Word of God, was to be issued from the mouth of his anointed paternal grandfather, the Reverend William Martin Foster, at whose feet young Jay hung on every word. Grandfather William, aware of young Jay›s spiritual hunger, and driven by eagle-eyed perception, diversified young Jay›s tutelage by introducing him to such legendary Gospel titans as A.A. Allen, C.L. Franklin, and Fred Price, among other Gospel Greats. The minds and voices of these stellar Gospel Giants would (...when the fullness of the time had come) lead the Reverend Jay to the formulation of his central thought-provoking and liberating tenets. And to whet your literary appetites, we happily and obligingly serve up a few tidbits from his masterful opus:

If you learn how to apply God›s Word in your life, you will be forever changed.

Putting God›s Word to work is the key to tapping into unlimited power. In other words, merely bodily exercise profits the most fervent and acrobatic believer little in the pursuit of success and prosperity.

Going to church was not enough… I needed to understand why God had created me and what He wanted me to do.

"Five actions God wants us to take:

    Dwelling in peace

    Partake in rest

    Strive in increase

    Begin To recover

    Expand your territory

As you read this book, prepare yourself to be challenged, overwhelmed, and, most of all, to be awakened to the jolting reality of the folly of "pouring new wine
