Message to reader
The purpose of my self-discovery book is to guide you in discovering who you are and what motivates you. You have the power to create anything you want, but it's important to exercise that power like a muscle if you want it to work effectively. This book is divided into four parts, with each part building on the foundation of motivation.
Part one focuses on motivation, which is crucial because nothing starts without it. The remaining parts delve into goal setting, mindset, and self-care, providing practical tips and strategies for personal growth and self-discovery.
Goal setting, which is covered in part two, is essential for creating a natural extension of yourself and giving you personal satisfaction. Part three will explore the importance of mindset and how it influences motivation, highlighting the difference between a fixed and growth mindset and providing strategies for cultivating the latter. Finally, part four will focus on self-care, providing practical strategies for maintaining motivation and achieving long-term success.
Throughout the book, I encourage you to share your own stories, opinions, and experiences, as this can help others in similar situations and provide a better understanding of yourself. It's important to celebrate small wins, practice self-compassion, seek support, and take care of your physical and mental health.

I wanted a simple framework that could help me categorize, reference, and discuss the things happening in my life. This book aims to offer a unique combination of real stories, fresh perspectives, practical advice, expert opinions, and tools to help you discover who you are.
I hope that this book is easy to understand and follow and that it helps you in your journey of self-discovery. Remember to be patient, kind, and great, and allow yourself and others to be great around you.
For a bit of fun, I've decided to set a goal of 20,230 words for my book. The reason behind this specific word count is that I believe that a concise book with a target word count of around 20,000 is more accessible to readers who may not have the time or patience to read longer books. Plus, there's something special about setting a specific goal, as you'll discover in the part about goal-setting in this book.
You may have already noticed that the number 20,230 is a multiple of the current year, 2023, when I'm writing this book. While writing a book with only 2023 words may not have been realistic for the topics I wanted to cover, I encourage you to consider setting your own goals, no matter how big or small. Anything is possible with dedication and effort.
Introduction
Before we attempt to figure out who you are, let's take a moment to consider where and when you are. It is widely accepted that we are currently living in the year 2023, and that we inhabit a spherical planet called Earth, which is the third planet from our Sun. However, our understanding of the solar system was not always as clear. In the past, the concept of a heliocentric solar system was met with resistance, and some who advocated for it were even persecuted. Through scientific inquiry and discovery, this idea eventually became widely accepted, leading to a much deeper understanding of our solar system.
Throughout history, some of the most brilliant scientific minds have been unfairly labeled as heretics for daring to challenge the status quo with their ground breaking ideas. Galileo Galilei, for example, was famously persecuted for advocating a heliocentric solar system, which has since become an accepted scientific fact. As our knowledge of the universe continues to expand, it is crucial that we remember the debt of gratitude we owe to these trailblazers, who pushed the boundaries of human understanding and paved the way for the scientific progress we enjoy today.
Despite the overwhelming scientific evidence supporting the fact that the Earth is a spherical planet, there are still people who believe in a flat Earth, which is a conspiracy theory without scientific basis. This belief can be influenced by various factors, including cultural and religious beliefs, distrust of mainstream science, or a desire to challenge conventional wisdom. In some cases, it may be driven by the need to belong to a community or a desire to feel unique.
While it is essential to respect different beliefs and opinions, it is also critical to rely on empirical evidence and scientific inquiry to understand the world around us.
The year 2023 is determined by the widely used Gregorian calendar. The need for a more accurate measurement of time around the Sun was recognized by the ancient Egyptians, who observed that the annual flood of the Nile River was not in sync with the solar year. The Romans addressed this issue by introducing the Julian calendar in 45 BCE. However, the Julian calendar's slightly inaccurate leap year calculation led to a drift in the calendar's accuracy over time.
To address this problem, Pope Gregory XIII introduced the Gregorian calendar in 1582, which made changes to the leap year calculation, making it more in line with the actual length of the solar year. The leap year rule of the Gregorian calendar is that a year is a leap year if it is divisible by 4, except for years that are divisible by 100 but not by 400. This rule allows the calendar to keep time with the solar year more accurately.
Although most countries around the world now use the Gregorian calendar for international communication, some countries continue to use the Julian calendar for religious or cultural reasons, leading to different dates for celebrations such as Christmas and New Year's Day. While there are now two calendars in use (at least), the Gregorian calendar is by far the most widely used.
Over the past couple of thousand years,
