    The Hearth keeper's Test

Hestia, the goddess of hearth and home, looked out over the crowded plaza where the mortal families had gathered for the competition. She had chosen this particular group of families because of their long-standing devotion to her sacred flame, which burned brightly at the center of the plaza. But now, as she watched them jostling for position and trading whispered insults, she couldn't help but feel a pang of doubt.

Are mortals truly capable of understanding the importance of the flame? she wondered to herself. Or are they only in it for the glory?

As the competition got underway, Hestia took her place at the edge of the plaza and watched as each family took turns tending the flame. Some were more skilled than others, but all of them seemed to be putting in a good effort.

But as she hesitated, unsure of what to do, a small group of Eurydice supporters caught her eye. They were watching her closely, and Hestia could sense the challenge in their gazes.

If I disqualify them now, there will be consequences, she realized. They might even turn against me and my flame.

Hestia took a deep breath and steeled herself. She would not let fear guide her decisions. Taking a step forward, she raised her voice so that all the families could hear her.

I have observed some troubling behavior in one of the families, she said. It is clear to me that they have been cheating. Therefore, I must disqualify them from the competition.

There was an uproar from the Eurydice supporters, who began to shout and jeer. But Hestia stood her ground, her eyes fixed on the flame that represented all that was good and pure in the world.

I understand that this may be difficult to accept,
