Preface
Ultimate power has a long history of corruption and evil acts among world leaders, the majority of whom have been adults.
—Pol Pot, Idi
Ultimate power has a long history of corruption and evil acts among world leaders, the majority of whom have been adults. Pol Pot, Idi Amin and Adolph Hitler required the intervention of nations to check their power. Society and the governments of and within the United States have provided children with a limited version of devastating power. Each state has enacted child protection laws. The intent of the laws is to keep children safe from abusive or incompetent parents. Two of the most common ways the government begins an investigation to determine if abuse of children has taken place is, observation of physical or psychological injuries or reports of a child
When a child reports abuse, physical or sexual; the child is believed. Very often, first step in the investigation is a forensic interview designed to get the child to be truthful. Unfortunately, those conducting the forensic interviews are human, to many of them don’t believe a child would lie, and they want to get people who would hurt children away from them, consciously or subconsciously. If the child does not describe the abuse adequately, the interviewer will assist them in finding the words and help the child to be comfortable using them. This is where the problem begins.
Chapter 1
Bennie was an average student in school, five feet seven inches tall and 240 pounds with an undiagnosed drinking problem. He spent his evenings road drinking with friends, getting home at between 12:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Bennie’s parents overlooked his excessive drinking. They knew confronting him would do no good. His parents crossed their proverbial fingers and hoped he would not become a statistic in an accident. Bennie and the boys drove through more than their share of ditches and got their vehicles stuck several times.
Bennie would wake up each morning with a hangover but get to school on time, meet up with the guys he was drinking with the night before, and relive the previous night’s events. Typically, the previous night’s hijinks involved trashing mailboxes of houses on country roads. They would drive down the road at whatever the speed limit was, taking turns riding shotgun, or in the back seat passenger side, tossing whatever object they had handy, or they would lean out the window with a bat.
Every so often, the owner of the home whose mailbox was being destroyed would hear the sound of their mailbox being struck. The owner would rush to his truck and chase the offending vehicle. Inevitably, when the vehicles hit ninety miles per hour, the chaser would back off to avoid himself or the front vehicle from getting into an accident. The homeowner, knowing that the car he was chasing was full of local boys, did not want to be the cause of a multiple death accident because his mailbox was damaged.
The scenario of a car load of boys being chased through an S-curve and losing control, rolling and splitting in two, after hitting a large white oak, resulting in the death of four of the five and paralyzing the fifth had happened in the not so distant past. The homeowner, chaser, and his family had to move out of town because they were universally hated among the locals. The surviving child is frequently seen around town with his mother who acts as his 24-7 nurse after she quit her job at the local bank to take care of her son’s his quadriplegic needs.
If the homeowner’s husband and wife were together when they would hear the obvious sound of their mailbox suffering damage at the hands of miscreants, the wife would tell her husband not to be an idiot, call the police, and tell them the little bastards are in action tonight.
Typical of the local law enforcement, a police car would go to the house forty-five minutes after the unseen car had sped off. After all of the mailboxes had been damaged on a three-mile stretch of country road, the offending car would leave the area.

Even though none of the guys was overtly gay, or displayed any tendencies that would lead you to believe they were gay, each of them participated in accusing every other guy in the cliché of being a fag. None of the guys had enough courage to ask a girl, out and none of them had any free time to do so. Every moment outside of school or work was filled with drinking with the guys.
Members of the little group, Mike, Greg, and Eric were sons of farmers and spent a lot of time working on or sitting on tractors. Scott worked in his father’s drugstore, and Bennie was able to fund his drinking and gas by working in the local grocery store.
Bennie’s responsibilities were mainly to collect grocery carts from the parking lot, bag groceries, and stock shelves. The next rung in the grocery store ladder was to work in the meat-cutting room, packaging steaks, chicken, and fish.
Bennie’s parents did not push college on him, and he was content taking trade classes, avoiding the hard college-prep classes. If he applied himself, Bennie could have gotten into a four-year college. With the little effort he did put into school, Bennie could have gotten into the local community college and improved his career choices.
Bennie was happy where he was. He could sneak a few cases of beer out the back door each week if he was not obvious and always left store owner and manager with plausible deniability in the event he was ever caught with beer in his possession or in an accident. He would also not take any beer without paying for it. Each week, there was an envelope in the office looking over the cash registers with handwriting on it that said, For Ollie’s bill
on it. It covered full retail price of two cases of Stroh’s beer. The other guys were aware that Bennie was sneaking the beer out of the store; they had no idea if the business knew about it. Bennie told them that they still need to pay for it in case he was ever caught. What he was doing was illegal, but the store could not think he was stealing.
There was one girl, who worked the checkout, that Bennie had a crush on. Her name was Cherrie. Cherrie was dating a small college football player. The football player was a local hero that could and would kick Bennie’s ass if he made any obvious moves. Bennie was happy feeling he and Cherrie were friends.
Cherrie was the person that would put Ollie’s envelope of cash in the office each week. The owner’s wife did not know he had in his little slush fund from Ollie’s cash.
Amanda was a local girl that thought she was a lot hotter than she was; guys would ask her out occasionally, knowing they could hold her hand during a scary move and go parking and make out on the way home. Feeling tit under the bra was a sure thing; a few guys claimed to have fingered her. Amanda always denied it ever happened. Amanda’s father was a small-time dairy farmer. Amanda was expected to get up early in the morning and help with milking the cows and work around the farm with whatever chores needed to be done—scooping cow crap, feeding the cows, and helping with bailing hay were her jobs.
Amanda had a horse on the farm for which she was responsible. Any money her dad gave her for farmwork went into riding tack and horse expenses. Amanda’s friends were all from the local 4-H and participated in rodeo with her. Amanda’s group of friends would occasionally drink with Bennie’s group of friends.
Mike would hook up with Sheila, the most attractive of the girls. Mike said he was getting head regularly, but she was saving herself until after graduation, at least.
Like clockwork at the county fair, there were guys from a neighboring town that would hit on the 4-H girls and make Bennie’s boys jealous. Mike would want to fight them because they would attract Sheila’s attention. After the sophomore year of school at the fair, he punched the mirror on the windshield and broke it off. After the junior year of school at the fair, he hit and cracked the windshield and a bone in his hand. Eric knew Mike was in no condition to fight with a broken hand but suggested they find the assholes and kick their asses.
Mike said, Hell no, look how big my hand is getting!
They drove the usual course through town, cursing. They saw one of the guys, Dennis, who was known for being tough. They suggested Dennis kick the guy’s asses. Mike was feeling like a wimp when Dennis said that he should go take care of it himself.
Then the guys headed out of town to steal pumpkins and hit mailboxes. Mike said, When my hand heals, we will head over and find those assholes and teach them to stay out of our town.
Two weeks later, everyone acted like they had forgotten everything about getting into a fight. Mike put a few push tacks into the end of a novelty Minnie baseball bat and kept it under his car seat in case he was pushed into a fight.
In the spring of their junior year, Amanda’s friends were at Sheila’s house, when one of the girls, Loran, asked what they were going to do for prom.
Loran said, If we do not go to prom, we will regret it when we are older. When our daughters ask us about what we did at our junior prom, I do not want to have to say I was too lame to go.
Prom was going to be at the local Eagle’s club. Some mothers that were way too involved had decorated in an under-the-sea theme.
Amanda said, We can ask the guys from Perry to go with us.
Sheila piped up and said, There will be too much drama if we ask guys from another town to go. We should ask Mike and the guys to take us.
Loran said, All of our moms know how to sew and can make our dresses for cheap.
Sheila said, Mike is the only guy that is going to expect to get fucked, the other guys probably don’t even know how!
Bennie was paired up with Amanda, Greg was set to be with Maureen, Eric was set to take Ashely, and Sheila and Mike were together. Sheila knew the pressure to put out was going to be ramped up at prom, but she was ready. Scott and Allison were the last two left, so they were automatically together.
There was a location for pictures to be taken of each couple under a Styrofoam wave painted blue. All the kids tried to one-up each other with crazy poses. Bennie and Amanda gave a big thumbs-up, Greg was on the ground making it look like he was begging, Erick was dipping Ashley like they were dancing, and Mike and Ashley were giving each other a little kiss.
Amanda and Ashely pulled Bennie and Eric outside after a slow song and made out with them. Eric had his hand slapped when he grabbed Ashely’s tit.
Eric said, What the fuck? You pulled me out here!
Ashley snapped back, To make out, not get groped!
The kids left the prom an hour before it ended; they did not want to get trapped in the dumb after-prom festivities. Mike took Sheila parking and got a stinky finger and head, but he still could not beg her into sex.
She said, Stay with me for a year, and maybe after senior prom.
Prior to fellatio on Mike, Sheila said, You have to tap out before you come in my mouth, or it is never going to happen again.
They were outside the car. Mike leaning against the driver’s door, Sheila squatted down and took him into her mouth. Mike felt bad that he was face fucking her and only lasted a few seconds. He pulled out at the last second and blew as soon as he was out. His nut landed on Sheila’s dress, just above her right tit near her shoulder. Sheila did not notice until she got home and was taking the dress off.
Sheila was in her room undressing when she heard her mom say, Sheila, come out and tell us about your night.
She dropped the dress on the floor and looked in the mirror to make sure there were no other signs of oral sex for her parents to see. She put a robe on and sat in the living room with her parents.
She said, The decorations looked like they were for young kids, but the music was good. Mike looked nice but was a horrible dancer. To be fair, none of the boys had any rhythm. The boys even sucked at slow dancing. I spent most of the night dancing with the girls.
*****
Bennie and Greg were in one car with their dates, and Eric and Scott were in another with their dates. Both cars had plans to drop their dates home and meet up and go drinking forty-five minutes after leaving the dance.
Bennie had a case of beer in a cooler on ice in his trunk. He picked up the other two guys as soon as they dropped off their dates. Mike was checking all the spots he thought the other guys might be when he finally found them. Mike had eight beers in a cooler in his trunk. He did not need to get Sheila buzzed to get some action, so all eight were for him after he dropped her off. Once all the guys were together, prom night turned into a usual night of beer drinking and mailbox trashing.
Sheila woke up Sunday morning, went through her usual morning schedule, and started to take care of her dress just as she told her mom she would. After getting it on a hanger, she again saw Mike’s stain that had soaked into the fabric. Knowing she had to do something, she devised a plan; she would tell her mom the parking lot was dusty, and the bottom of the dress was dirty. She asked if she could take it to the dry cleaner. Her mom said to take it to the one on River Road and have them add it to the bill for the other stuff that was there.
The owner of the dry cleaner had a son who was also a junior in Sheila’s school. Sheila had little interest in the boy who had a secret crush on her. The mother of the boy had a strong dislike for Sheila. She felt that Sheila was a bitch for hurting her baby.
When she pulled the dress out of the bag and was prepping it for dry cleaning, she noticed the stain. Knowing what it was, she got a smile on her face and said to herself, What a little slut.
As there is no confidence between cleaner and customer, legal or moral, she had a nice little piece of gossip she was going take full advantage of.
Sheila’s mom heard the gossip and said it was just the bad-mouthing of a parent who was angry because her son could not get a date for the prom. After a few days of thinking about how to ask, Sheila’s mom told her about the rumor.
Sheila said, Gross, Mom, how would that even happen? What kind of weird bodily fluid expert is the wench?
Just an overprotective mother with a son that’s a loser,
was her mom’s response.
Sheila said, He’s really a nice guy, just a little shy.
Well, his mom’s a lying bitch,
her mom said.
Obviously,
said Sheila, and the conversation was finished.
Mike called Sheila a few hours after the discussion to tell her about the rumors. Sheila told him about the stain and that the mothers in town were talking about it. Mike in his smart-ass tone said, See, you should not have made me pull out. It’s your fault as much as mine. Want to go out tonight?
Sheila said she could not she had to help her dad.
The road drinking that night was full of laughter with the boys talking about the stain. In an uncommon moment of chivalry, Mike had not told the guys of his sexual conquest after the prom.
Greg said, "Why didn’t you tell us about getting blown that night? Were you afraid your gay boyfriend might get
