Prologue
As written in the New Testament of the Holy Bible, from the gospel of Luke, Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eye witness and servants of the word.
Why does a man, at the age of ninety, write a biblical story about a carpenter, who was born in a town named Bethlehem, located in the district of Judea in Palestine? Let me try to tell you why.
In the year 1998, my wife, Ruth, and I celebrated our fiftieth year of marriage. After much consideration, we decided to take a cruise that would bring us to Turkey, Greece, and Israel. Why to these countries? We wanted to go where the prophets, disciples, and Jesus went. We both were Bible readers and wanted to go there and walk the paths they walked and relive the events that took place there.
We entered Israel at the Port of Haifa and from there we went by tour bus to the city of Nazareth, located in a Valley in Southern Galilee. There we went to the church of the Annunciation. It was the fifth church built on the spot where the angel Gabriel stood when he prophesized to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive a child. We entered the church and went to the Sanctuary. Looking toward the altar, we observed a grate in the floor. We walked up to the grate, looked in,
