    I Know

    I know what I think I know.

Hold firm to what you know.

Don’t let doubt weaken your stroke.

Smile and step boldly into this world.

Do not hesitate or miss a beat.

Make your decisions quick, drink your medicine neat.

The thrill of the chase is the thing.

Catch the joy! Joy is life’s golden ring.

    I Sleep No More

I sleep no more since I awoke

    For centuries I have slept

    Nodding, dozing, life after life

And in each life have wept

You have been with me all this time

Unknown, the vigil that you kept

While I, seduced by sense desires

    Headlong into disaster lept

    Yet thou with patience absolute

    And true devotion tended

Each tiny grain and sprout of truth

    Which to this clay descended

The lives I have lived beyond recall

You strengthened me, in one and all

With grateful resolve I sit, I wait

For you are master of my fate

    If We Could Eat Flowers

    If we could eat flowers,

I’d start with violets for breakfast.

I’d spread them on toast like jam,

    I wouldn’t need any ham.

    I’d have roses for lunch,

Then I’d munch on daffodils and daisies for tea.

That combination would be a winner,

With pink sweet pea salad for dinner!
