About this ebook

Spiritual Man: Natural Woman is an empowerment and relationship-building Bible study written to reveal and remind young, middle-aged, and mature women of faith that we do not have to ask for liberation or equality because we already possess it. The key to experiencing the joy of womanhood lies in our individual and collective abilities to learn what acceptable and unacceptable relationships with each other and the men in our lives look like from the women of the Bible. Spiritual Man: Natural Woman brings attention to the fact that as women, we have the same responsibility as men to learn to worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth. Spiritual Man: Natural Woman also holds us accountable for learning and evolving into the specially designed help meet (daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, mother, wife, and friend) our sons, brothers, uncles, nephews, cousins, fathers, husbands, and friends can share with, learn from, and be willing to protect, support, and grow with. As women of faith, we must be mindful of how we respect one another as we move forward in our efforts to be respected by men. Spiritual Man: Natural Woman is not an exhaustive listing of all the Scriptures that pertain to womanhood. Instead, Spiritual Man: Natural Woman was written to elaborate on how important we are to the Most High. Spiritual Man: Natural Woman was written to prove we are not an "after the fact" creation. Spiritual Man: Natural Woman was written to remind us that we were given authority over land, sea, and air, just like man, and that we have a responsibility to work harmoniously with one another and with man. Spiritual Man: Natural Woman was written to remind us that we will be held accountable for the way we have chosen to live our lives, for we too shall stand before the Judgment seat, and I am one woman who definitely wants to hear Him say, "Well done, my good and faithful servant!"

    Introduction

Discourse: 2. a formal discussion of a subject in speech or writing, as a dissertation, treatise, sermon, etc.

Lecture: 2. a method of teaching by formal discourse.

Purposes of this discourse are to promote biblically based conversation among women of faith who desire to delight themselves in the Lord (Psalms 40:8) through faith-building social events geared to teach some and remind others who we are in the Lord, how much the Lord loves us, and how to love Him in return; and to provide women who are incarcerated, homeless, abused (spiritually, physically, sexually, emotionally), fatherless, and widowed (Luke 22:32) with biblical knowledge needed to improve and/or increase their spiritual and natural quality of life:

I Thessalonians 5:6: Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. 12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 13 and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves. 14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. 15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. 16 Rejoice evermore.

This discourse will be delivered in lecture format. To allow time for socialization over breakfast/lunch/dinner, musical praise and worship, and audience participation during the discourse; the time needed for a one-day event is five hours. A two-day event will need three hours each day. Four days will be needed for one-hour time slots. It may be best to allow the audience to get drinks and go to restroom on an as-needed basis instead of taking breaks.

The women included in this study were chosen for their ability to communicate natural diversities and spiritual similarities relating to womanhood.

Scripture(s) are to be assigned to audience members who desire to participate in the readings. The Scriptural Points (S.P.) will be expounded upon after the reading of the text; the Point(s) of Interest will summarize the gist of the scriptural points; the Meditation(s) and Contribution(s) will aid in learning to: (1) apply scripture as a measure by which to judge self in our effort of working out our own salvation (2) nurture wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of the Will of Abba Father.
