A Revelation of Leadership is not the typical book about leadership. Dr. Timothy Sims presents a convincing mix of commitment, wisdom, compassion and revelation knowledge combined with the practical application of biblical truth. This book is a delightful guide full of important information for those who want to take an enjoyable journey into Revelation chapter four, in the world of spiritual leadership. I was blown away by Dr. Sims’ deep understanding and fresh revelation of the connection between biblical prophecy and leadership. Dr. Sims has written a must-read primer for anyone considering leadership.

This significant and necessary book by Timothy Sims is a breath of fresh air. While we are offered a plethora of books, blogs and advice on leadership, Pastor Sims takes us into an unlikely place, the last book of Holy Scripture, the book of Revelation to provide an insightful and challenging approach to spiritual leadership. From the pen of one who is by no means an armchair quarterback, but one whose life and leadership has been shaped in the crucible of the local church. This book is a must-read for those either involved in or preparing to lead in the Lord’s church.

I had the joy of reading Pastor Sims’ manuscript A Revelation of Leadership. There are many books out there on leadership but few that lay the ground work of biblical leadership. Pastor Sims theologically develops what leadership is and explains essential elements that are often overlooked. This book is a must-read for all leaders and for those who are developing leaders. What a timely book for what’s on the horizon. This book is a staple for every pastors library. Thanks Pastor Sims for taking the time, effort and research to pen this work.

Dedication
This book is dedicated to my late father, the Reverend Ervin Sims Sr., and my mother, Helen Rosetta Everett Sims, who has transitioned to glory also—for their sacrificial love, leadership, guidance, direction, and vision in successfully raising ten children.
Dad, rest in peace. I know you are still watching over us. Momma, you were the best mother anyone could ever want. I love you always!
I also dedicate this book to the life, leadership, and legacy of my dear oldest brother, the late Bishop Ervin Sims Jr.
I miss you, brother. You fought a good fight. You finished your course. You kept the faith. Rest in heaven!
Preface
When you hear the word revelation, you might think of either hearing or seeing something new for the first time or even learning something in a different way. One definition describes the word revelation as an enlightening fact, done in a dramatic way.
The content of this book brings us to a new way of looking at godly leadership, in a dramatic and non-traditional way. You will find that this new revelation from the Apostle John reveals order, intention, affirmation and wisdom from the divine leadership of God.
I encourage each reader to take an in-depth approach and embrace the concept of how spiritual leadership is portrayed in Revelation chapter 4.
As you read through the pages of this book, my sincere prayer is that God will reveal something new and fresh to you, in a very dramatic way and that each reader will be blessed by the author and finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ.
Pastor Sims, thank you for the opportunity to share in this labor of love and work of your ministry. May God bless you in your next endeavor as well.
In His Service,
Karen A.
