About this ebook

What is Critical Inward Voice?

As do many geographic locations that are named and recorded in the pages of the Bible. But now in our time, today has different titles and names. Yet are still the same important locations and places.

So, too, do other areas which are mentioned in the word of God. The conscience is one such thing; the same principle applies with man's conscience. This is the very area of man's inward component, which Apostle Paul writes about throughout the New Testament books. Not much is talked about from a biblical perspective.

This book, Critical Inward Voice, will reveal how we as believers in Christ can master an overly active, highly stimulated, over-aggressive, and negative, pessimist voice.

Also, we will learn the purpose of God giving everything a name so man can, as Genesis 1:28 said, "subdue and have dominion over it."

This book is written from a biblical worldview and/or perspective as it's dedicated to an area many people are wrestling with. Yet don't know what it is. Even, most likely, many in the medical and psychological field seeing it as something totally different than what it actually is and where it is location in man's being which is very vital.

In the pages of this book, we will discover where this attack and/or "dis-ease (without ease)" originated from. We will also uncover through the power of the word of God that there are remedies to overcome and help heal those who trust in God's word, those who may be dealing with this very area of their lives yet don't have a clue what is going on with themselves.

Come go with us. Your freedom from this "critical inward voice" may be just a page turn away!

    About the Author

I dedication this book in remembrance of my father in law: Reverence Robert L. Peacock. whom help influence and develop my love for the ministry.

I like a special thanks to both my wife Shelia M. Hankins and my son in law Jatone Washington for their relentlessly pressing me to write a book. Always believing, that I had something to share in written form.

Also my mentor, and bishop, Bishop Josephus (Joey) F. Johnson, whom I was able to bounce some ideas to help complete this project.

    —Love, Pastor Lamont Hankins Sr.

    Why?

    Wisdom by the Spirit

Yet we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:6–16)

    Preface

This subject matter of the inner/inward critical voice book started one morning while I was driving my grandson Jasiah to school, like I do every morning around this time.

The radio in my car was tuned to one of my favorite Christian stations. The hosts began to share on the topic: The inner critical voice. It was the first time I ever heard it described and called this. I immediately knew this was something I was personally dealing with for years, yet I did not know what it actually was, let alone that it had a medical terminology.

As I listened intently, I took down some mental notes so when I got back to the house, I could look this inner critical voice up further.

Over the weeks and months I read on the inner critical voice, I noticed there were only writing books referencing a psychological perspective and/or approach.

I knew and felt this was also a spiritual and biblical concern that needed to be addressed pertaining to this vital subject.

So I set out to do a teaching from a spiritual and biblical understanding. As I prepared to teach it as a series to my congregation and by my Facebook program I called Wednesday Word, I soon realized I needed to write a book on this subject, what I now called and labelled as the inward critical voice, and to write it from a spiritual practitioner's (pastor) perspective. I soon learned how much the Bible has to say about this topic.

Being encouraged and urged by my wife (Shelia) and my son-in-law (Jatone Washington) for some time to write a book, I began to attempt to write my first book ever.

My prayer is this book will be a help and encouragement to bring healing and deliverance to both the spirit and soul of those who, like me, need guidance in this particular area of their lives.

Also, I hope you will further investigate yourself as we journey together by using your Bible to follow along with me in the Word of God.

    Introduction

    Critical Inner/Inward Voice

I believe this ministry God called me to has always been motivated by setting forth the opportunity of freedom for the people of God in various ways through this style of teaching and writing on subject matters that have not been yet addressed from a biblical perspective.

Freedom is just another form and/or attribute of God's love. He purposed us to be free and liberated from anything and everything that comes to bind and imprison the spirit, soul/mind,
