About this ebook
There has been a breakdown in trust between two planets, Earth and Xeracik (pronounced Zerasic). What can be done to mend the rift? The friendly alliance between the two planets has been threatened. Will starting an Earth school classroom on Xeracik be a way to fix the problem? What if a first day of school means interacting with aliens? What if the ability of the aliens is much higher and much more intelligent than the ability of the Earth students? How the citizens of the two planets try to understand each other is important and well meaning. Can ETs change into Earth life-forms? Can they invade human dreams? What happens when you touch a Xeracikean? What if the aliens are trying to learn more about Earth so Earth can be their new home? Xeracik has become very unstable. The surface of this planet has become worse than any earthquake or active volcano on Earth, so the normally peaceful Xeracik may think they have a reason to become aggressive. Besides, Earth is a lower form of intelligence, so maybe they feel justified to take over the Earth and make it their new home. How would you feel if the future of our planet was dependent upon how you get along with your alien friend? Sometimes, we just have to trust that things will work out. Sometimes, we have to trust what we don't understand. Sometimes, we just dig in and do the best we can.

Where Did He Go?
Cade looked around his class, as all the students found their seats in the theater-shaped media classroom. The students were a little restless today as they entered the room and seemed to talk more than usual. Irene and Maureen were talking about some suspicions they had about another student. Cade would have been shocked to hear what they were saying because it was about him. No one knew or could know that he was involved in five extraterrestrial encounters. Five! Cade shook his head. How did his brothers, cousins, and Grandpa ever survive all of that? Well, Grandpa didn’t.
Grandpa also had two friends who were first involved with him in his alien encounters: JT and Dalton Sr. Dalton had been sucked into the portal, and his grandson, who was named after him, became a part of the adventure, too. Also, Cade’s grandpa’s ranch manager, along with his nephew, got in on the last encounters. Cade’s other older brother, Braden, in the fourth encounter, was almost permanently abducted by the Xeracikeans. It wasn’t the good Xeracikeans, though. It was the ones who had turned mutant. They had begun looking for self-gain which the normal Xeracikeans called a human disease of narcissism. Selfish gain had never been part of the highly evolved Xeracikeans until two evil Earth people were abducted to one of the advanced Xeracik labs. At least, that was what the Xeracikeans were saying was the cause. They said narcissism was caught from these two Earthlings.
Cade’s brother Braden had to stay in high school an extra year not because he failed anything but because he couldn’t make up all the work that was lost during the fourth encounter. Braden wasn’t allowed to explain to the school administrators that Xeracik aliens were taking his schoolwork, his books, and even messing with his parking spot at the school, so he made everyone think that some prankster or even criminal had targeted him. He didn’t mind continuing another semester, though, and neither did his school because he could play football again with his winning high school team. He began school at a younger age even though he was bigger than his classmates so it all worked out. Cade helplessly watched on as his brother went through this very difficult encounter with Xeracik.
How could a sleepy little Texas ranch ever be part of these intergalactic activities? These encounters, though, had gotten Cade interested in astrophysics. He was still in high school but taking college level classes. One of these classes was very dear to Cade. The class had been created because of the growing interest in the paranormal and the extraterrestrial happenings on Earth. That combination of subject matter had never been explored in one curriculum before.
Mr. Hollow, the teacher of his class, recognized there was something different about Cade. Whenever the assignment called for a discussion about interplanetary activities, especially ET sightings, Cade talked very confidently and would support the reality of aliens.
It was still about five minutes until class began. Cade looked over at the two girls who seemed to be talking intensely. Another student, Benny, joined the conversation. If Cade had known what they were talking about, it would have been a great concern for him.
They were discussing how much Cade seemed to know about aliens. Maureen, a gifted student, said, I’ve researched some of the things Mr. Hollow has talked about in class and there is no mention that ETs can change into alternate earth life-forms while on Earth. There is also no mention anywhere that ETs can learn how to communicate with us, and yet Cade talks as if it is real.
Irene broke in and said, Yes, but he never talked about it being a fact. He said he was speculating.
Irene paused, and then continued. Do you suppose he is one of those people who have experienced alien abduction? We hear about it all the time in the tabloids.
Maureen said, Yes, Cade really does talk like he has special knowledge of the subject, even though he always says it is just speculation.
Benny joined the conversation. Cade lives right down the street from me. I’d be glad to spy on him.
Irene didn’t trust Benny. He was always doing things to upset the other students, so she said, That’s a little drastic, don’t you think?
At that, it was time for all to get into their media booths on the first level of the classroom. And so, they began their lesson/adventure for the day. Mr. Hollow loved teaching, especially teaching the unit on stars, galaxies, and planets. Today, his lesson plans included possible communications from other planets or galaxies. He told the class that he would get in touch with some of the government labs and see if they had clearance to let the class know some of the findings. Maybe they could even go on a field trip to the lab.
Benny, Maureen, and Irene were thinking about how Cade seemed to know more about the stars, galaxies, and planets than anyone in the class. They saw a spark in Cade’s eyes whenever he answered questions, and today, he seemed very intense.
After the class discussions, Mr. Hollow programmed each student’s assignments based on their responses. It was always more challenging to program Cade’s assignments. He brought up ideas that went beyond the class, and usually, he had read not only
