To my one and only—my son, Bryan.

Christie Jo, I write this to you as a testimony so you will always know and remember that true love does exist. And sometimes, it happens just in time for Christmas.

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Jessie Parker. My best friend and coworker is Betsy Fisher. We were the team that kept Frank's open for business—with Betsy's amazing, addictive personality and waitress skills and, of course, my cooking. Jessie. Oh, I will keep it down all right. I quit!

Frank. You can't quit. We have orders.

Jessie. No, you have orders. It's your diner and your place.

I know I should not have
